The place is very humid, very closed off, and there was no TV.

We were very satisfied! The host is very friendly and helpful and gave us good tips and even booked a tour for us. When our air conditioning didn't work, she took care of it immediately and offered us a new room. We highly recommend it

We stayed at the property for two nights. It is in a very good location, right next to the beach. The host was very welcoming and accommodating. I would highly recommend it.

Super great place to stay in Drake Bay. Communication was great, and the rooms (even without a large window) were well appointed. Would come back anytime!

Very nice host, the accommodation is as described. However, we advise against coming without a 4x4 because the roads are really bad, especially the uphill ones. We did it but it caused a lot of unnecessary stress.

Perfect location right in the town, with free on street parking nearby. The communication was great, and the hostel even stored our bags for us while we went into the jungle. Nice and clean, and wirh great cooking facilities. Great experience

the road to go to bahia drake is very bad. many ruts, very steep rocks, we did it without 4x4 and it was very scary. we do not recommend. prefer to come by boat the village is small and does not require having a car. On the other hand, we dived at isla del cano and that was worth coming to drake. The accommodation is cool in the middle of the village.

We felt welcome and safe in Jamaica. It is located just a few minutes' walk from the beach. From there, the boats go to the national park and also the boats to Cano Island.

A perfect place to visit Drake Bay and its surroundings. Jamaica is a sweetheart and helped us with boat reservations and tickets to Corcovado Park. Highly recommended!

The accommodation is very well located, close to supermarkets and places to eat. The room has air conditioning, which makes it very pleasant. My only complaint is that the windows were a little small and with the humidity in the area, we lacked ventilation. Everything was very clean and communication was very good, they helped us with recommendations, booking tours and transportation, from long before our arrival, responding with clear information to all our questions. I would definitely stay again!

Casa Tuanis is the perfect place to be close to nature, grocery stores and starting points for tours. Personally, my girlfriend and I like to learn and be close to the local culture. If you are like us you will be satisfied with its location in the heart of the village and its terrace overlooking the life. In addition, this home is constantly cleaned by Jamaica (the host), which is a big bonus for the price. This Airbnb is really worth it if you want to soak up the place, cook/save money and sleep well (air-conditioned). Have a safe trip!

We had a desent stay, good value for money. The first room smelled like mold but we directly got another room which was nice! There is a drinking water filter, but it didn't work very good and was empty all the time. Bring a lot of water for your stay, as it's expensive to buy over there :) WIFI was very slow and a lot of time no connection.
Host Response
Drake Bay is a wonderfully rustic town nestled within a vibrant jungle environment. We want to ensure our guests have realistic expectations regarding amenities, particularly concerning internet connectivity. While we strive to provide reliable Wi-Fi, its performance can occasionally be impacted by our remote location. Guests who require consistently high-speed or uninterrupted internet access for critical tasks should consider this. Casa Tuanis is designed to be a budget-friendly accommodation, offering exceptional value. For the price point, our amenities—including air conditioning, private bathrooms, and a shared kitchen—are quite comprehensive compared to other options in the area. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience with the water filter during your stay. Unfortunately, due to an unforeseen hospitalization, the owner was not on-site, and it appears the person overseeing the property may have overlooked refilling it. We are committed to ensuring all our guests have a comfortable experience and appreciate your understanding in this matter.
