We had a wonderful stay with our family of seven adults. The house is beautiful and charming with many lovely details. The proximity to the beach was fabulous, as was the patio and pool. Bruno assisted us in countless ways -both in advance of our trip and while we were there. He helped arrange transportation and always communicated very promptly. We needed assistance in the house a couple times and he responded immediately! We would happily stay here again.

This house was perfect for our group of 8. We loved the pool, the decor, and the easy walkability to the beach & downtown. We would absolutely stay here again.

The house is as described with lovely traditional Mexican decor. We loved the large pool and shady patio. The hedge and other trees keep the pool private though it is in the front yard. The house is a very short walk to the beach. The kitchen included good pots and pans, many dishes and cooking equipment. There is no dishwasher. Bruno met us at checkin to go over details, keys, etc. He also got us groceries twice and made recommendations for a tour guide, bike rental, and chef. He also arranged for our transportation from and to the airport. He was very helpful! As others have noted, it is a 10-15 minute walk to get out of the Playacar neighborhood to find stores and restaurants. We discovered we could get a nice meal at the Sunset Fisherman hotel which is in Playacar, just a short walk from the house. You can also request a taxi to come to the house to pick you up. This is a great place for a laid back vacation with family or friends.

Beautiful home. The house manager Bruno was great, arranged transportation and anything we needed. The private chef Andre made the most amazing paella and meal for us! The showers were hot and the pool was refreshing!

Thank you so much, Haley, for the wonderful review. It's especially gratifying to know that you and your group had a wonderful experience at the villa and in the Yucatan. We look forward to your return in the future. Stirling and Gloria

The house is a very authentic summer home and a great way to experience the local vibe. It’s extremely close to the beach, literally a one-minute walk. However, because the house is traditional and doesn’t have standard windows, noise carries in very easily. We also had an issue with noisy neighbors at night, as the house is surrounded by hotels and other Airbnb properties. I’d like to highlight the manager, who was very helpful, proactive, and knowledgeable. Thank you for hosting us.
Host Response
Thank you so much for your review, Sairan. We are thrilled to hear working with Bruno was a highlight. We are lucky to have him! I'm also so sorry to hear you had trouble with external noise. Given our location on a quiet cul-de-sac, I am surprised to hear you had this problem, and hope you spoke to Bruno about it directly. If I may give further context, PlayaCar—the neighborhood that the villa is located in—is a residential community with many year-round and snow bird residents. Travelers who stay there are mostly families and groups of friends looking for a laid-back and relaxing vacation. There are noise restrictions with "quiet hours" (no loud or outdoor music) starting at 9 PM. Guests are encouraged to report any rule breaking to the neighborhood's security team, and in my experience they quickly and respectfully address the issue. You mention hotels, but there aren't any hotels located within PlayaCar. The closest is PlayaCar Palace, located at the gated community's entrance, which is a half mile, or one km, away. Thank you again for the opportunity to address your concerns, and provide more context. My best to you, Stirling

This was a beautiful and perfect home for the 8 of us adult family members- each with a spacious bedroom and own ensuite bathroom. A very well supplied and large kitchen to make our own meals. We loved hanging around the pool or taking the short walk to the ocean. Bruno as manager was always readily available to answer any inquiries - before and during our stay. One has to take a 15 min walk to the central taxi pickup but they did drive back to the front door on return. We did eventually get to know our way around and walk to restaurants to save the 150 pesos each way (don’t pay the $200 initially stated). We enjoyed scuba for a day and a cenote for half a day but mostly happy to soak up the sun around the pool. Altogether a wonderful retreat.

What an amazing house! There was a bed/bath for each of us four couples, well stocked fun kitchen, luxurious pool. All in a very secure, private neighborhood only a few steps from the beach and a short 10 minute walk to lively La Quinta Avenida. (The pictures don't show a dining table for 8 and upgraded TVs.) What made it exceptional was Bruno, who was responsive to every question and arranged so much for us: groceries as we arrived; two women to prepare a taco buffet for us; drivers from the airport and for a day trip; and Roger for a fantastic tour of Chichen Itza and a cenote. Highly recommended...

We had an absolutely AMAZING stay! This was the perfect spot for a family vacation — we had 6 adults and one baby, and the house fit us all so comfortably. It was quiet, peaceful, and just steps from the beach. Honestly, it couldn’t have been better. Bruno, the property manager, went above and beyond for us — helping arrange airport transportation, grocery delivery, and making sure we had everything we needed. He made the whole trip so smooth and easy. The house itself is gorgeous. The kitchen was a dream to cook in, the bedrooms were spacious and thoughtfully laid out to give everyone privacy, and the common spaces were perfect for hanging out together. We were able to walk to most places, but getting in and out of the development can be a bit of a hike, so taxis definitely came in handy. This was one of our best Airbnb experiences ever. 100/10 — we will definitely be back! Couldn’t recommend this place more highly.

We had a fabulous stay at the Villa. It is a great place for a family vacation The location can’t be beat, just steps from the beach (even though the kids were happy to play in the pool). But really set this place apart was the attention and help of the property manager, Bruno. He helped us plan some in-house meal service (so delicious), excursions in the area and was there to answer any questions we had.

Words cannot describe how amazing this home is. Truly a wonderful and unique home that is steps away from the beach. My entire family loved the space and was deeply saddened we couldn’t stay longer! Secured area as it is located within a gated community. Short walk to get to the main parts of Playa del Carmen, but honestly we rarely wanted to leave the house or the amazing beach. Space is huge and had our group of 9 feeling like we were in luxurious but welcoming home. Bruno, the property manager, was really responsive and helped us out a lot with coordinating transportation. Highly recommend!!
