Casa Pochote was located within a beautiful resort with great security, great views, and everything you could ask for. Would definitely love to come back!

Located just above the bustling town … it is a quiet space with quick access to all that town offers (5 min. walk to dzns of food options). The pools were a favorite (there are 3!!!) Well maintained and inviting, but often we had them to ourselves. The house was perfect! Ample space for our family and room to spread out. The kitchen had no shortage of pans, serviceware, or even prep equipment (like most homes in Nicaragua, no microwave) and they were quality. It made a huge difference for food prep which is a big part of our choice to stay in homes. While I’ve never felt unsafe in SJDS, the additional security was nice being that we were a little removed from town. And being removed also meant more wild life! Saw monkeys and tons of birds. But the maintenance of the resort meant really minimal bugs anywhere. There are a lot of stairs on the property. Make sure you are ready for a little calf work out if staying in Pelican Eyes. And hot water was sometimes inconsistent.

We had a fantastic time at Casa Pochote! The Airbnb was beautiful and very unique. It was very well stocked. We loved the howler monkeys every morning! Jessica and Halying were fantastic to deal with and very attentive. We highly recommend this beautiful accommodation. A fantastic holiday at Casa Pochote! We hope to be back next year.

We had an amazing stay at Casa Poche. The place was great and was part of a resort with a pool. What a beautiful view! The host and Halying were super responsive and gave us good recommendations.

Excellent find right in SJDS but still tucked away in a quite complex Pelican Eyes. The casa is adorable and loaded with charm and characters. It’s super quiet in the complex it’s really the sound of the jungle. Everything in the home was working fine, kitchen was stocked and the patio was really super relaxing. The community pool was lovely rarely busy and offers an exceptional view over the town. Walkable distance right to all attractions in town and the beach. Loads of cafes, restaurants and shops. Manon who greeted me on arrival was super friendly and worked in the bake shop. Host was also super responsive. Would definitely love to Come back again soon.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is just lovely. Well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, and close to town and beach. We sat on the porch and watched the monkeys in the trees. Can’t wait to come back!

I have stayed here before—the addition of a second bathroom makes the house so much better! Fresh basil in the pot out front was great! And mornings on the porch with the monkeys and birds was the best!

Really enjoyed our stay. The house and community pool were beautiful. Jessica (the host) was extremely responsive as were the onsite team. We had some challenges with power outages but that’s a common issue for the area. They had a generator and if that went out it was fixed pretty quickly. Overall a fantastic stay.

We enjoyed our stay. It was quiet and peaceful when we wanted to chill but fun things to do were close when we were ready to party. The house was cozy and charming. We would come and stay again.
