We love this place, we’ve been here before, and would absolutely come back. Great hosts that make it super easy.
Tropical paradise! This was the most amazing home in such a special spot! I can’t even put to words the beauty and tranquility of this place.. waking to monkeys and coati, toucans, macaws with the view and sound of the ocean…. Chefs kiss… doesn’t get much better in life.
This house was by far the most amazing house we have ever stayed in!! Highly recommend! They even provided information for a private chef and I highly recommend the chef!! He was absolutely amazing!
La Veranda is a gem. Beautifully designed and furnished. One of the best places we’ve stayed anywhere. It puts the pura in pura vida.
Epic compound on five acres. Great pool, backup power option was awesome , Starlink worked great. Kate was amazing .
Beautiful surroundings, great views, the house is what you see in the pics, rustic, clean and well maintained, Kate and Deb are very responsive, great for surfers, thanks 🙏
Amazing place, and unbeatable location! We rented both the guest house and the main house…. The main house is close enough to walk up the driveway but the driveway long enough that both houses get privacy. Just a couple minutes walk to the beach surrounded by jungle, and short walk along the shore and you are in town. Perfect. Everything in both houses was good quality and well cared for--and the hosts were super attentive and gave great recommendations. We will definitely return, next time for a longer stay, I hope.
Kate's place is incredible! The views are breathtaking and the rooms are incredibly comfortable and spacious. We were very impressed with how well maintained the property, furniture and appliances were taken care of. The jungle tends to consume everything so the fact that Kate's home is so well integrated with the environment and well maintained made the stay that much more comfortable and enjoyable. We can't wait to return next year!
Absolutely stunning Balinese house in the jungle of Pavones. Easily walkable down to the beach yet feels very private. Perfect for our family of 4 with older kids (aged 12 and 17). We had a car to drive to different surf spot depending on conditions, and we’re so thankful to come home to the beautiful pool each afternoon. Perfection. We loved our time in this house and will definitely be back!
We really enjoyed our stay here! The views from the veranda, main living area, master bedroom, and pool are spectacular. The property is beautifully landscaped and immersed in the sounds of the jungle while still being walking distance to the beach. We really appreciated the clean accommodations, the well equipped kitchen and the balinese style of architecture. We look forward to returning to the Pavones area and would not hesitate to stay here again when we do.
There are nice homes then there are homes like this. I plan to make this an annual trip because I know the people I bring along will agree... this home is like nothing else. You're literally in the jungle with all the sounds and the most beautiful views of land and sea. Amazing!
Beautiful villa with great views, easy to get to the beach. My two sons loved the pool. Overall an amazing place to stay for a surfing break. The host Kate was very responsive to any requests. Highly recommended!
The house is beautiful and very private, with pretty and elegant decor and comfortable beds and a breathtaking view of the sea. The kitchen is great for cooking big meals and the pool was a great luxury after the beach. It perfect for families as there is a gorgeous main bedroom (with a shower that has a view that is incomparable) very separate from the other two bedrooms - which are also nice (but not spectacular like the main one). You must know however that in Pavones there is no ATM and no pharmacy and the grocery store is limited. Best to stock up on food in Golfito and get cash there. Once you arrive in Pavones, though, it's worth it!
