This house is great if you want privacy & to spend your time at the house. There is plenty to do at the house with the pool, bocce ball, pool table, darts, ping pong and more. I highly recommend a rental car to get to restaurants and grocery stores as theyre a 10+ min drive on a dusty road. The walk to the beach (where you can see whales!) is only 3min away. The home has comfortable beds. The home is in need of repair and did not have all amenities available or in working order (hair dryer, washer/dryer, AC units). The property manager Delfina works another job and was often unavailable or "forgot" her phone. David was more responsive via the Airbnb app. The house also has a cockroach problem but not surprising given the rural location. This home has a lot of potential to be a great spot with some work but it's priced much lower than homes in the area - the price reflects the quality. David told us he plans to make repairs, they just didnt happen while we were at the home.

We stayed at Vila del Faro with 6 adults and 4 kids aged 18 mos to 15 years. Plenty of room for all to come together or have some privacy. We loved the abundance of outdoor play options on the property - pool, hot tub, ping pong, bocce ball, volleyball, trampoline, beautiful vegetation, hammocks for reading, etc. A beach for walks is less than 1/4 mile away, and Cerritos beach is a longer walk or 5ish minute drive. Be sure to grab tacos and margaritas at Barracuda after catching your waves! Comments below are only for awareness if you have not travelled to Baja before: - The roads are rough and unmarked. You'll need a vehicle with good clearance but not 4wd. Try to arrive during the day (we got super lost in the dark). The coordinates in the listing are not accurate, so follow David's directions. - water and propane are limited, so be thoughtful & prioritize. We opted not to heat the pool, so little ones found it quite cold. Hot tub heats fast & stays warm for a long while.

We celebrated my husband’s 50th birthday at the Villa del Faro with a few of our friends. It was a perfect gathering place to host us all in the same location. The pool slide is all time! Plenty of fridges to keep our drinks cold and ample space to relax and enjoy. Beautiful views and sunsets. Amazing property management and staff - very helpful and good recommendations. Lovely beach a short stroll away and fantastic bocce court! Thank you!

We had a great stay at Villa Del Faro! It’s in a great location to explore Pescadero, Cerritos, and Todos Santos. It has lots of space and room for folks to hang out in different areas of the villa. The pool is awesome and we had a lot of fun swimming and using the slide. The dirt road to get to the house is pretty bumpy and pothole-y but not bad. We had a minivan and sufficed just fine, just be sure to take it slow. A couple things just to note is it is in a more secluded desert type area and from what I understand the neighborhood shares water so there was one day where the water ran out (so no showers, sinks or toilets were functional) but it got filled the next morning. Overall, it was a great stay and place to spend time in Mexico with our friends!

We had 6,000 plus gallons on Friday when you checked in. My caretaker was notified Monday saying there was no water. We had investigated our water valves and checked for leaks and found none of any massive water puddles always apparent for that amount of water. We refilled the tanks immediately. After your remaining four days we observed the tanks were still 1/2 full. after your departure. I have to assume therefore that one of your group left the water slide water on all night or all day to run our pump and drain our water. We told you upon arrival how impotent it was to turn off the water slide water after use. We have 10,000 gallons of water every Monday from our local water district. We were grateful you left before the hurricane came the day after your departure because the access road was closed due to flooding . In general September and October is when we have hurricanes. We would welcome you back. We will be installing a water timer on off switch for the water slide in the future. Again please be mindful when the water on the water slide.

We had a great stay. We had 12 of us with a mix of kids and adults and the place was great for our group. There are plenty of things to do on site like bocce ball, horseshoes, ping pong, billiards, and a very fun swimming pool. The rooms were spread out enough to offer privacy. And you could hear the waves crashing as you slept at night. David and his caretaker were both great to deal with as well. We will look to stay here if we are back with a big group.

We brought a family of 10 for a surf trip. This was a great place. Everyone had a private space. The host provided a lot of the beach gear we needed for the young ones (umbrellas, chairs, towels, cooler). The pool, the hot tub, and the waterslide were a big hit. The host was very gracious and talked us through everything we needed to know. Indoor and outdoor kitchen. Indoor and outdoor shower. We appreciated both!

We were beyond thrilled with our stay here. We had 7 adults and 5 kids and had plenty of space. The activities were endless- pool, ping pong, darts, pool, bocce, horseshoes, hot tub...and there was even a little fort in the backyard. The beach, although not a great swimming one, was right around the corner. The area is great with good food and beaches nearby. Not listed but present during our stay- little potty seat for kids, beach chairs, kid lifejackets, coolers, and beach umbrellas. All of these were a great bonus!

We stayed at Villa del Faro for seven days over Christmas 2022 & absolutely enjoyed our time there. I made a video tour of the property, but can't post the link here so search YouTube for "Villa del Faro Video Tour". The property has the old Baja feel to it. When you walk though the front gate, you immediately feel it with the lush green plants & plenty of shade. Very relaxing space at the pool & the outdoor kitchen. We cooked & only used the outdoor kitchen & the nearby outdoor dining table. There are six bedrooms but only showers in two of the rooms. The other four bedrooms happily used the outdoor shower “room” that is by the swimming pool. Driving in to town to one of the mercados or Baja Beans is a quick easy trip. Villa del Faro was calming, peaceful and quintessential Baja. I was the most relaxed I’ve been in years & years, happily living on Baja Time. I’ve been going to Baja for over 40+ years & nothing has touched my soul as much as this home has. A treasured find!

Amazing location, amazing hospitality, amazing amenities. We travelled to David's location with my brother and his family. There were 7 of us in total on this trip and we had plenty of space with space left over! We were originally supposed to be 9 and we would have still had more than enough rooms, beds, and space for all of us. The outdoor space is so amazing! The waterslide and amazing pool kept the kids busy every day, in addition to the ping pong table, bocce ball court, horse shoes, trampoline, and hot tub. Not to mention, we were a very quick walk off of one of the best beaches I have ever been on. The 3+ mile stretch of beach was almost empty every day and the sand is gorgeous. The waves were pretty big but an experienced wave rider can definitely get some good play time in them. One of the highlights of our trip was Dellfina. We asked her to cook a couple of meals for us during our stay and she hit it out of the park! I definitely recommend this service. She and her helper, Hugo, are amazing cooks! They presented everything beautifully and it all tasted delicious! She even accommodated our picky eaters! We experienced some personal difficulties while we were there and David could not have been more helpful and supportive. I am thankful that he was available to assist us and am in debt to David for his gracious support. Something of note, this location is a bit remote. So be prepared to grocery shop on your way so that you have everything you need. The town of Todos Santos is not too far and is really cute with some small restaurants and shops, (and an excellent medical facility) but it is good to be well stocked! I highly, highly recommend this location for families. You won't be disappointed!

David's house is a really cool and funky place. It's in a great location and has great amenities. The pool, waterslide, hot tub and outdoor living spaces are amazing, and it's the only reason to stay at this place. It's perfect for large groups and kids. That said, there are many other new places that are in better condition, and that have a more pleasant and courteous host. He charges a premium for his place and that price is reflective of the amenities he offers. One would assume that amenities like the fire pit or hot tub are included at no extra charge. Nowhere on his listing, or in the rental contract, did it specify that we would be charged extra to use the fire pit or hot tub, yet David tried to charge us additional money during our stay without previous disclosure on check-in, and repeatedly harassed me during our stay to pay extra money for using the hot tub, for instance, or to pay for fire pit propane, when we didn't even use the fire pit. His insistence to charge us extra money for amenities we either didn't use, or which weren't previously disclosed as costing extra, was a huge bummer to our entire group. His repeated rude communications and harassments ruined our experience and as a result, we will never stay there again.

Do not rent to this guy or his group .He did not want to pay the additional 250 to heat the pool and ended up leaving the hot tub on most of the time. We include Everyday use for three hours but not all day and into the evening . Which resulted in Burning up over 500 gallons of propane more for my power bill to run the jets. When my manager pointed this out to me mid week that the full tank needed to be refilled we asked Mark to kick in. He refused. We do not charge for normal hot tub and fire pit use. We encourage mindfulness and conservation. He also Had a family of four camp out nearly a week in my driveway in their camper van ,again confirmed by my manager and photos etc. Mark did not tell me or when I asked him for additional money for his uninvited guests at my home he blew me off. All this after I gave him a 1,200 discount on an extra room and 1-1/2 weeks instead of the minimum two week as posted.. He had several guests over for a birthday pool jacuzzi party as well where I have in my house rules that no parties with outside guests Without prior arrangements. I can see why Mark and his crowd would be bummed out by the reality check of me ,a long term 5 star host, calling him out on his abuse and overuse of my villa.

If you have a large group, I highly recommend staying at the Dome House. So much to do both on and off the property. So peaceful and beautiful. We got to see whales breaching and turtles hatching. Great place to vacation for our teenage boys. Fun surfing 5 minutes away at Cerritos. Todos Santos is a beautiful town with a rich history and only 15 minutes away. Also, if you don’t feel like cooking or going out, you can have meals cooked for you and brought in. I can’t say enough about this place. We all wished we could stay longer

David’s house was amazing! It had everything you could want for a family to do right on the premises. Most of the family was in the pool or playing one of the many games available throughout the day. Just a quick walk to the beach or 5 minute drive over to Cerritos Beach (less rough) and about 10 to Todos Santos...this house is in a great location. And did I mention the sunsets?! They were spectacular from the house and beach. Troy, the house keeper, lives right next door and was very responsive to any questions we had. We will definitely be returning!!

We cannot recommend this place enough! We had a group of 12 people spanning 4 generations and everyone from the youngest to the oldest were raving about the house the whole trip (or as the youngest kept screaming, "This is the best house ever!!!!"). For being a vacation rental, the service goes well above and beyond. Troy, the groundskeeper who lives onsite, was attentive to everything and kept the house running smoothly. The pool got a little murky while we were there from having so many people in it and he had the pool guy out in less than 24 hours to fix it. We briefly ran out of water in the cisterns (due to the pool guys using too much of it) and in less than two hours, he had a water truck there filling it up! Troy checked in regularly to make sure everything was going ok and to see if we needed anything... He also offered some great local knowledge of places to go and things to see throughout the trip. Take advantage of his knowledge! I also highly recommend having Maite cook for your group for at least one meal. She prepared dinner for us the first night, the last night, and breakfast the last morning before we had to leave and every meal only seemed to get better! She is a great cook and the value of having that first and last meal ready to go is worth every penny! The house itself has a design that lends itself to entertaining a large group... From the pool with a super fun slide and hot tub to the many patio games (ping pong, volleyball, bocce ball, horseshoes), to the many private nooks that allow you to have some quiet time if you prefer. The rooms were all very comfortable with their own bathrooms (no showers except one), cold A/C (although we really didn't need it most of the time), and clean and comfortable beds. The location is just as great as the rest of it. A short walk from the house and you're at the beach. Everyone in our group, from the 4-year old to the 83-year old, were able to make the walk easily, although you can drive if you like. We tried our hand at surf fishing from the beach but the water was still a little too cold for the fishing action to pick up. The air temperature was amazing (low 80's pretty much everyday) and was about 20° cooler than Cabo and La Paz. It was conveniently located right between Cerritos Beach and Todos Santos. The town of Pescadero itself had quite a bit to offer, with the coffee shop, Baja Beans, being a part of the morning routine for several in our group. Most people in the area speak English. While the roads can be rough in areas, we were able to get around just fine in a mini van and a suburban (no 4x4 needed). All in all, it was a great trip with a great house! We will definitely be coming back again and again and again!
