3BR Home in Cabo Pulmo

Hanah

Excellent, 3 months ago

Our stay at Diane's place was amazing! This has to be one of my favorite Airbnbs to date. The home itself was bright and gorgeous, filled with beautiful art and all the amenities one would need. We took advantage of the snorkeling gear and the fully stocked kitchen. While some stays feel empty and stale, this home actually felt like a home. It was a bit warm in Baja in early May without A/C asides from the bedrooms, so keep that in mind when making your vacation plans. We will surely be back!

This was our 8th time staying in Cabo Pulmo—it is one of our favorite places on earth, and Diane’s was hands-down, the most beautiful place we’ve stayed. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed to stay in or go out. My teenage twins loved that they had their own bedrooms (and bathrooms!), and my husband and I loved the upstairs suite, especially the upstairs deck with the view of the sunrise with beautiful mountains and birds all around. We even had a rooftop visit from a friendly iguana. Easy walking distance to the beach and town and easy driving to the best snorkel spots in the Los Cabos area. We can’t wait to be back!

I’m almost at a loss for what to say to describe how wonderful El Encanto is. But I will try. I think the only reason the woman who designed, built, decorated and filled this house with her art, Diane Varney, isn’t world famous is because she must not want to be. I booked “the whole enchilada” for myself because I wanted privacy. I spent the majority of my time in Cabo Pulmo at El Encanto, just reveling in the atmosphere of the entire property. The beauty, the sounds, the surprises and delights of discovering the entire place were a dream come true. Every day I chose a different “favorite” painting by Diane, and every day I noticed something new that surprised and enchanted me. I did venture forth from the house for grilled lobster and deeelicious margaritas at La Palapa restaurant, which Diane had recommended, and also to go to Los Arbolitos beach, which was stunning. Such a day. If life is good to me I will return. Thank you, Diane!

Agree with previous reviews. A museum and botanical garden as well as 3 separate, private rooms with a great kitchen/dining area to hang out. Bluetooth speakers were a nice little bonus as was the Tupperware. You can believe in the filtered water, we all drank & no illness. To clarify, there IS hot water for showers - a pretty nice relief as we were prepared to come from a cold swim/dive to a cold shower. If you made me pick a down side, maybe older beach chairs, umbrella, masks/snorkels? Hey, it's beach stuff. Easy walk to town with probably 10 different dive shops. Tacos & Beer was a great place for $2.50 tacos but don't go around noon to 2 when the lunch crowd including all of the AM divers look to eat. This was the perfect place for our family reunion and though pricey, it was worth it.

Our family of five spent a few days at El Encanto de Cabo Pulmo, and it was truly wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the charming atmosphere made us feel right at home. Diane was a fantastic host—proactive, very responsive, and helpful. We spent hours mesmerized by the birds in the garden! The layout is perfect for a family; every room feels private, yet the common spaces keep everyone connected. Cabo Pulmo itself is magical, with highlights ranging from snorkeling and hiking the desert mountains to enjoying tacos on the beach. We already can’t wait to go back!

El Encanto is an enchanted fairytale casita - the fountain, the birds, the thriving garden. This home is a destination of it's own. Incredible diving aside, I would come back just to visit this house! Every detail is designed with such care and artfulness - truly a masterpiece. I have stayed in countless Airbnbs and hotels and this is my absolute favorite stay! The experience was incredible - every detail has been considered making the stay absolutely seamless. Thank you so much for hosting us Diane!

What a truly incredible place! This house was absolutely beautiful, tastefully decorated, immaculately clean, so private it felt like it's own little world, yet was a 5 minute walk from the little town. Diane was super helpful with great recommendations for scuba diving and restaurants, as well as hiking and beaches. The house was fully equipped with everything we would need- from linens and kitchen appliances to beach chairs and snorkels. The house feels both cozy and spacious at the same time, and while there was only 2 of us it would be easy for 2-3 couples to have plenty of privacy. The decks and patios were spacious and had plenty of seating options, and there is nothing better than an outdoor shower after a long beach day. My wife and I are both in the advertising industry, and just wanted to spend the day photographing the house as the light streamed thru the windows. It looked like a house that would be featured in a travel magazine, bright and colorful. Highest recommedation

We really enjoyed our stay at El Encanto in Cabo Pulmo. We went there for scubadiving, and the marine reserve is really worth it! The house is trully spacious and very well equiped. The interior decoration is quite unique and inspiring (as shown in the pictures). Being in the middle of nature, and given the very hot summer temperatures, be prepared to keep windows and doors open permanently and therefore be ready to meet with the local neighbors : birds (many humming birds), insects, iguanas, bats etc. That’s clearly part of the experience. Given the very remote location, you also have to cope with unexpected issues: a few power supply breakdowns (the set-up relies on a mix of solar batteries and diesel generator not always very stable), a water leak or wifi instabilities: that’s part of the adventure in such a wild environment. The only thing we will retain is the responsiveness of Diane and her local support Lupita who managed to solve the issues each time in a few hours.
