We absolutely loved staying here. Mel was super communicative and checked on us daily. The on-site co-hosts, Joaquín and Juanita were gems. They were so helpful and responded to us quickly. Juanita's cooking was so delicious. We didn't have to leave the home to eat anywhere else. They made us feel like family. The property allows for easy access to the lake, is clean, and very spacious. The bunk bed room is in the main house & the other rooms are in the second home. Both are fully equipped & comfortable, which makes it perfect for larger families. The pool was clean and nice and cool for when we wanted to take a dip from the heat. We loved being surrounded by nature, yet we had a lot of privacy. We would definitely return if we need a place to stay on the lake in the future.

Our family of 6 enjoyed our time here. The children never wanted to leave the pool. The place is exactly as described but exceeded our expectations. Great Hospitality, responsiveness, and outstanding food. Couldn’t have been any better! We should have spent more time here and less in Surf city. Next time we know. Muchas Gracias por todo.

The house is very lovely, you are gated. The property has lots of beautiful fruit trees, beautiful pool, very peaceful and If you don’t want to cook Ms. Juanita cooks very well every dish was wonderful they are very attentive I definitely recommend the house is very big it accommodates a big group easily

We went as a family for my husband's birthday and had an amazing time. The house is beautiful and the person who takes care of it is super friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend it.

My family loved this house. Joaquin made sure we were comfortable and even walked us to one of the local restaurants. We had their lovely coconuts and relaxed by the pool all day. My kids loved the table games and the ping pong table. One thing to note is the bunkbed room is in the house with the main living room and kitchen by the pool and the master room and in the house right next to it. My kids are younger so they did not want to sleep separately so they stayed in the second room in the smaller house with us, but if they were older they would have absolutely loved being in their own house with all the amenities and still so close to us. We will definitely be back with more of our family as it comfortably fits many with much privacy for each room. Its the best house in Ilopango!

Our stay at Mel’s villa was superb. The grounds have an amazing variety of lush plants and the grounds are well maintained. It was a quiet retreat from the bustle of the city. We came for the Ironman right across the lake and we were actually able to take a local boat taxi across to the race start. We were able to swim in the lake prior to the race and paddle over to the start from our side. We received VIP treatment all around. The property caretakers were responsive, helpful, friendly and very patient with the non-Spanish speaking guests. This was a great place to unwind and relax. We were treated to some true Salvadorian hospitality. It was nice to feel special by both the owner of the property and even those maintaining it. We will definitely come back.

I loved my stay at this Airbnb. From the first moment I felt comfortable, calm and welcome. The space is just like in the photos, clean, cozy and with every detail thought out to make you feel special. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend it. Wow, what an incredible place. Moreover, the best host I’ve ever experienced on Airbnb. Having travelled from London I was sceptical about what I would experience. Melvin from the second I booked was the most accommodating, friendly and helpful host I have ever come across! By a mile. An exceptional host, an outstanding property and the staff at the villa were no different. I can only describe the estate (not villa!) as a slice of paradise. Melvin could not do enough for us. Anything we needed was sorted instantly. From massages to boat trips, from boat trips to physio. All accommodated instantly and refreshingly not a single ‘markup’ insight. Truly magical and would recommended anyone to stay here. I have visited in 2 prior occasions (hence the hesitance from many years ago) but this stay makes me want to stay forever! If you are considering La Libertad over here, don’t! This is the place to be! Thank you Melvin and crew xxx

First of the house is beautiful and a lot of different plants. Mel kept good communication the whole time. The house is very clean, prefect land scape, nice pool, waking distant from the lake. There are a few small restaurants I didn't eat but it look very good. What made the start extra comfortable was Mr. Joaquin. He is a nice man, very well spoken and will assist you with anything you need. He will offer you coconuts that are grown there in the property . I will be staying there again soon.

Our stay at the Ilopango lake house was simply spectacular. The place is even more beautiful than the photos show: the house is in excellent condition, fully equipped and designed to enjoy and rest to the fullest. We especially want to highlight the attention of Don Joaquín and Doña Juanita, who were always attentive to us with exceptional warmth and dedication, cooked delicious food for us, kept the house and pool impeccable and took care of every detail; they really made us feel at home. The property itself is a true paradise: quiet, well maintained and perfect for disconnecting and sharing unforgettable moments with family. We had a wonderful time and it's definitely a place we recommend 100%. Finally, I'd like to mention that Melvin was a very friendly, attentive and always willing to help, exceptional! The whole process was clear and pleasant from the start. We will definitely be back, highly recommended.

Fantastic place Tranquil to rest or be with family the green areas are beautiful, the open spaces are spectacular, and the pool with Jacussi very clean, everything impeccable , and the staff who take care of the property is very friendly and collaborative. Highly recommended
