We had a great week at Ceibamar. My father’s and daughter’s birthdays were in the same week so we picked this beautiful place to spend family time this year. Nothing will top waking up early in the morning and hearing the waves crashing from the living room. The kitchen was well stocked with tools and there were beach chairs to use if you like. My parents especially enjoyed napping in the hammocks. The beds were super comfortable, showers were clean and hot, the internet worked well for our one guest who couldn’t get away from work for the week. Maria was great in offering a pack and play for our one year old. We had the ladies from Pura Vida come and cook several meals. They had a local baker make an adorable butterfly cake for her upon request. It was the best food all week-highly recommend. Monkeys in the trees, butterflies and birds passing by, a huge stunning home feet from the water; it’s just totally lovely. We’d come again in a heartbeat.

Fantastic place, beach is right there and you can hear it all night! It's quiet, private, spacious and very close to the town.

Fabulous home with fantastic outdoor area- pool, hammocks, fire pit, tables, and different sitting areas! We felt like we were in a butterfly garden! We even were entertained by at least 15 monkeys, which made our trip!! Beach was steps away! House was beautifully decorated. Each bedroom had own bathroom. Just a heads up, only the bedrooms had AC, but there were fans everywhere and screened doors so it wasn’t an issue! We had Evany and her mom from Pura Vida Cooking prepare a seafood feast dinner for us and a steak and shrimp taco lunch for us - highly recommend- DELICIOUS FOOD and so FRIENDLY! (They also have a cafe called Ahmar that has great coffee and breakfast! Also, highly recommend Healing Hands Spa- they came to the house and were excellent! Last recommendation- La Leona Waterfall Adventure tour— white water river tubing, lunch, and hike to the waterfall!! It was an incredible experience! A quiet town with friendly people, delicious food, and beautiful scenery— just book it!

Where do I start? The location was gorgeous, the house was amazing and the beach and pool were incredible! Our grandchildren were constantly on the beach or in the pool. The adults were likewise packrafting, snorkeling or relaxing on the beach. This was a family getaway for 6 adults, a teenager, an 11 year old and a 17 month old. Maria very kindly provided a high chair and pack and play for the baby, which was greatly appreciated. The recreation equipment provided was also appreciated. We have an annual family vacation together and we all agreed that this was the best yet! Thank you, Maria, for an extraordinary vacation we all agreed is one for the record books!

We had our annual girls trip at this beautiful house! We are in our 60’s and have had the tradition for 18 years! The house was amazing, very clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable beds, stocked kitchen, amazing pool where the Howler monkeys entertained us every day eating the fruit above the pool. The beach is steps away and very private ! A 20 minute walk into town. The grounds keeper and housekeeper were very friendly! Don’t hesitate to book this beautiful home! Maria was very attentive to all of our needs!

Beautiful spacious home with great pool and family friendly features. Easy access to ocean which was a beautiful sandy beach for great swimming and snorkeling. Gorgeous sunsets!

We traveled to Maria’s place with my extended family and 4 children 4 years and under. The pool was perfect for young children and it was a stones throw from the beautiful black sand beach. My 4 year old learned to really swim here! We loved exploring the local town and did a few local excursions but were really just most happy to just stay in the house all day to enjoy the local surroundings. We had the wonderful chefs from Pura Vida cooking make meals for us and also had Yasmina make a wonderful breakfast for us on the last morning. Maria was communicative and very helpful. We’d love to come back one day!

We had an awesome week! the place is great...steps to the beach, a great pool, and easy enough to get into town. The beach was very chill and didn't get busy at all. We chose to have the housekeeper, Yazmina, make us breakfast most days and she made the week even more special. I'm glad we chose this option and would stay here again.

This was a long thought about/planned trip for our family of married children and two small grandchildren. The 4 separate bedrooms/bathrooms gave everyone their privacy. The home is thoughtfully designed with plenty of common spaces outside for games, relaxing and sharing meals. The beach is a quick walk beyond the gate for snorkeling, boogie boarding, sunsets or star gazing. Our host was very responsive to any questions. The pool is small but really just perfect for little ones and a plunge to cool off. The week could not have been better! Thank you Maria for sharing your beautiful home with us!

What a wonderful vacation we had at Ceibamar! Our family of 6 adults had the most amazing time. Maria was such a wonderful host answering all our questions and making us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. The house had everything we needed to feel at home. The yard, view, pool, surrounding wildlife and accessibility to the ocean was more than we could have wanted. We had the ladies from Pura Vida Cooking come and prepare us the most amazing meal, and our only regret was not booking them more often (they were fully booked...so make sure you book early!) One of the most delicious meals we had there and they were so friendly! We made lifetime memories and are already talking about going back! We absolutely loved it! We miss it already :)

We booked CeibaMar for a week-long family vacation for 9 adults in December. Maria was very responsive with all my questions and with booking details, provided local recommendations for outings and for a personal chef. The house was beautiful and clean. We appreciated the art and artistic touches throughout the house. The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The outdoor area is comfortable and the pool was clean and refreshing during the hot days. The proximity to the ocean was a favorite feature for the entire family. The beach was virtually private, aside from people taking walks, and an easy 20 minute walk to town along the beach. A highlight of our trip was the in-home meals prepared by Pura Vida Cooking. We had originally booked 3 dinners and a breakfast but after the first meal we added another dinner. Each meal was better than the last. I highly recommend booking this house and Pura Vida Cooking for at least some of your meals.

We had a great stay at Maria's Place. It is exactly as described. Perfect for our well traveled adult family of six. We would definitely come back.

We loved staying at this beautiful home. My family loved swimming in the pool and going to the beach. The house is well taken care of and the decorations were lovely. We hope to come visit another time. Thank you so much!!
