Casa Del Toro was such a charming place. It was very clean. The beds were comfortable. It offered plenty of room for our large family. The location is very beautiful. We loved our stay.

We enjoyed our stay so much! The house was very well located, extremely clean - NO BUGS !!! - and cleaning service came which we didn’t expect but we appreciated ! The layout is funky but it worked and it gave us lots of privacy - our teenagers had a whole suite of rooms to themselves. So many bathrooms ! We felt spoiled and the kids (teens and early 20s) thought the place was so cool. The kitchen is small, but had what we needed to make simple breakfasts. We didn’t make dinners bc there were many close by options. We enjoyed watching the sunset on the benches across the street . Overall highly recommend , we would love to return if we get the chance! Thanks for the hospitality and providing such a wonderful base for our visit to this beautiful enchanted area of the world !

We had an wonderful stay at Del Toro! The property was stunning! Lot's of space to explore indoor and out. Quirky and beautiful rooms. We were able to walk to several restaurants, coffee, local artistic shops and groceries. Short drives to Monteverde, Treetopia, Curi Cancha. There was an issue with the gate but they came up with a plan and made it as easy as possible for us to come and go as we pleased. I will say if you don't like stairs this isn't the place to stay. We knew that going into it though and it was very clearly stated in the listing. We fit 8 people comfortably and I wish we had more time as I would have loved to stay longer. We'll be back!

Wonderful whimsical Spanish style home in a private gated community (attached next to a Spanish School); the separate staircases and sleeping spaces gave lots of privacy to each room. Yet enough space in the common rooms to convene for meals, cards, or rehash the day. Loved the Spanish casa theme. Beautiful sunset spot right at entrance. Great location: 1) Best restaurant, Celajes, around the corner 2) And on side of town - near Biological park 3) or into Monteverde for Sabor Rico restaurant. No pool but GREAT price for what we got. Big dining room but Small kitchen (cooking area) which we only needed for stovetop breakfast.

This place is just gorgeous - the pictures don't do it justice. Perfect for multiple families and families with teens (they had their own suite!). The hosts were so helpful.

Host Response

¡Hola, Pilar! Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear that the space was a great fit for your group and that the teens enjoyed having their own suite. It was a pleasure hosting you, and you're welcome back anytime. Thanks again for choosing to stay with us!

Loved the place! We were a group of 10 people and we were all comfortable at all times. The location is excellent for getting to other places and there is a lot of food nearby. We had no problem with the multiple steps, but it's something to consider if someone has mobility limitations. We would definitely stay again.

Host Response

¡Hola, Fernanda!

We had a bad airbnb experience the night before and were so glad we found this spot available. What an absolutely beautiful house! We met Valerie at check in and were instantly charmed by the property. It felt like an old school grand Spanish style house that has been well kept. It was super clean, and since it 's a tropical country, there are still bugs here and there, but you can tell they've done their best in cleaning and maintaining the house. It felt safe since it was next to the Spanish immersion school, and there was a gate for after hrs. Some things to keep in mind - laundry is in the basement, and it's a uniquely shaped house so there's a lot of stairs and steps. Watch out if you're with young kids or elderly. There are many bathrooms and most rooms have it en suite. Remember to not flush the toilet paper! If you're cooking a lot, there's a few pots and pans, but it may not be enough for a large group. We loved our stay and would stay here again. Thank you, and pura vida!
