Loreen and Mark made us feel right at home. Their house is beautiful, steps away from the beach and the outdoor kitchen was the best part. They took care of us, made sure the house was ready and Loreen was super flexible with our check-in. We landed in David at 9:00 and thought we were gonna be there before 12:00, she was very accommodating and let us check in early. We ended up taking longer than anticipated to arrive, so we didn’t need the early check-in after all. Loreen was very responsive, and answered all my questions. Their home was equipped with beach chairs and boogie boards, beach towels, and the basic kitchen equipment. The pool was sparkling, and ready to go every day. The hosts gave us good dining recommendations and the lay of the land, and fresh eggs! The whole process was extremely easy. Our family sincerely loved being here and we were super sad to leave. Overall, we loved our stay, even the grumpy teenager enjoyed himself! Definitely recommend!

If you really want to escape from the stress, then this is the right place. A truly idyllic, quiet location that makes you feel like you’ve arrived at your destination. Reenie and Mark were wonderful, warm-hearted hosts and helped us at all times with questions and suggestions. We would love to come back

We stayed at Mark and Reenie's beautiful home for four nights. Their place exceeded our expectations! We loved everything about our stay... the hospitality of the hosts, the amazing beach, the pool, the outdoor kitchen, the comfortable beds/rooms. Reenie was so gracious from the time we first arrived. She was available when needed, but allowed us privacy. We mentioned that we needed mint to make mojitos and she picked some up for us when she was in town! What thoughtfulness :-) My husband and I took rides on Mark's Paramotor and saw great aerial views of the area. It was fabulous and highly recommended! We look forward to our next visit!

Our stay at Reenie and Mark’s place was amazing. I was initially a little unsure about the fact that they live full time in the upstairs portion of the house, but it worked out beautifully. They were available if we had questions, yet we only saw them briefly each day as they watered the lush landscaping and fed the chickens—never intrusive at all. Each of the three bedrooms had its own luxurious bathroom, the outdoor kitchen was well equipped for full meal prep, and the pool was clean and incredibly refreshing. There was plenty of shaded seating and comfortable lounging space throughout the outdoor areas. What truly sets this place apart is Reenie’s attention to detail—extra towels, excellent coffee, spices for cooking, playful yet tasteful décor, and comfortable outdoor pillows and cushions. It’s clear she truly sweats the small stuff, and those thoughtful touches turned our stay from ordinary into exceptional.

We had the pleasure of staying at Reenie’s place last week whilst in Panama, firstly the photos really don’t begin to capture how beautiful this home is! We had a wonderful time enjoying the property, pool and beach!! The sunsets are out of this world too!! Reenie and Mark were the best hosts and we feel fortunate to have met them! We will definitely be going back on our next trip to Panama! Thank you Reenie for being the best host and sharing your home with us!

We had a fantastic two-day family stay! Everything was perfect, from Reenie’s warm welcome to the house itself, which was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. Las Lajas is a breathtaking beach, vast, peaceful, and giving you the feeling of having it all to yourself. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Reenie and Mark’s place is an amazing beachfront getaway located in a peaceful area. Beautiful private yard with large covered outdoor kitchen and living room steps from the ocean and a larger pool. It was just my wife and I, but the three bedrooms are all very nice and have all amenities. One of the best and most quiet beaches we’ve seen in our travels - sand bottom in the water, no rocks, and firm for walking this long beach. They have boogie boards and you can rent surfboards at Las Lajas resort (they have a great bar for mojitos). Walk along the beach to little restaurants that have great local food. Reenie and Mark’s are very warm and helpful hosts, we felt like we were at home. Highly recommended and one of our top five Airbnb rentals.

Thank you so much Reenie and Mark for our home away from home for 2 very enjoyable evenings. We are thankful for the pool, the beach, the comfortable accommodation and your hospitality. We all enjoyed the private yoga classes each morning, and Rick enjoyed his flight. Hopefully... someday... we have the chance to return to your little piece of paradise again. One of the best airb&b experiences I’ve ever had! (I’ve rented houses all over the world, 30+) The property and hosts were extraordinary! We were there a week, the house is wonderful, like having your own private resort, with a lovely pool, yard, and very private beach, and many places to hang out— hammocks, chaise lounges, and a big outdoor living room and dining table. We cooked a lot of great meals in their well-stocked kitchen. The town is very small with a few restaurants, so if you’re looking for peace and quiet, this place is perfect. Hosts Reenie and Mark couldn’t be sweeter or more accommodating, they worked hard to give us privacy but we were happy to engage with them, so very friendly and kind. Have lots of fun stories about being expats in Panama. Also, there’s a chicken coop hidden behind the kitchen, we asked if they were allowed to come out— so we got to hang out with chickens. Such a fabulously relaxing week, we didn’t want to leave!

A perfect getaway on a stunningly beautiful--and unexpectedly serene--Pacific beach. Reenie and Mark are incredibly welcoming and friendly. Their dogs and chickens were a highlight for our daughter. Whether bird-watching in the garden by the pool (tiger heron! mangrove cuckoo! wood stork!), shell hunting on the deserted beach, boogie boarding in the surf, or cooking in the comfortable outdoor kitchen, every aspect of our stay was perfection. While Las Lajas is a trek from the city, it is well worth the drive to recapture the feel of the beaches at Santa Clara or Coronado before they were built up. Highly recommend!

Y’all, this place is special. It has three private rooms that are gorgeous and look out onto the swimming pool. The pool is a perfect temperature and you walk through the gate to take 20 steps onto a pristine private beach. Lots of options in the open air kitchen and plenty of hammocks and lounge chairs to get your pool time and they even let us use their boogie boards for the entire time. One of the best places that I have ever been and I will make it a point to stop by every time I come through Panama for a one of a kind beach stay. Oh and the food close by was excellent. We ate at both resorts that are close by and multiple restaurants on the main road and enjoyed it all. Could not recommend it more highly. Reenie and Mark were delightful hosts.

This is the second time that we have stayed at this exceptional house. We'll be back as soon as we can. The house is as shown in the photos and is impeccable in terms of cleanliness and comfort. Reenie is always ready to solve any possible problem that may arise and is very friendly. My family is already looking for dates to return.

A few wonderful days in an incredible place to rest and be with the family. We will surely repeat soon. There were no problems and Reenie's attention was spectacular. Thank you so much.
