The villa was really amazing. In a private setting. Excellent bedding. Frankly, no complaints. Thank you to Simone and Vlad (recommended by the host) for everything they did for us. We recommend them +++ Simone as a guide for an outing to Caño Island or Corcovado (and much more) and Vlad, an outstanding cook.

Fantastic home overlooking the ocean in Uvita! We absolutely loved our stay and couldn’t have asked for a better place for a large group. Every room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The pool was incredible, offering the most breathtaking views—we spent hours relaxing and taking it all in. Uvita itself was an unspoiled paradise and quickly became one of our favorite places in Costa Rica. We followed some of Whit’s recommendations, including dinner at La Parcela, and it was an amazing experience. The food was excellent, and having monkeys visit during our meal was an unforgettable highlight! Overall, I highly recommend both Uvita, Costa Rica, and staying at Whit’s beautiful home. We would absolutely love to come back!

Cielo Azul is a beautiful property! It feels remote but centrally located to lots of great beaches, restaurants and activities. The scenery and views are spectacular, the amenities met all of needs and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Simone, the concierge, was wonderful! She made our trip so enjoyable and was so easy to work with. Chef Vlad (and his assistants!) came twice during our stay and cooked us wonderful meals! It was cheaper than eating out and it was great to relax and enjoy time together without the hassle of going out. The people of Uvita are wonderful and made it a very memorable experience. The guidebooks on restaurants were super helpful and we had some wonderful dinners (definitely try Los Laureles, La parcela and scala)! If you’re looking for a beautiful adventure I would highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful! Every detail of this home has been thoughtfully considered, and the attention to detail is truly exceptional. The property is stunning, comfortable, and impeccably maintained. We especially appreciated all the little extras that made our stay easier and more enjoyable, even something as simple as having a dedicated dryer on the main level for pool towels showed how much care went into the guest experience. Whit was an outstanding host- responsive, attentive, and genuinely committed to providing top-notch hospitality. Communication was quick and seamless from start to finish. This home exceeded our expectations in every way. Don’t hesitate- book it!

We had an excellent stay and would highly recommend this home. Our family of 11 gathered here to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary, and the house was perfect for our group. There was plenty of space for everyone, the home was beautiful, and the pool was a favorite for both the kids and adults alike. Whit was an outstanding host. On the few occasions we needed assistance, he was responsive, accommodating, and quick to help. The absolute highlight of our trip was hiring Chef Vlad. Every meal was fantastic, fresh, and healthy—even the younger kids loved his cooking! Not having to worry about meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking, or cleanup allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our time together as a family. Whit's home was stunning and such a joy to stay in. Definitely the most beautiful pool we've ever been in! Air conditioning in every room and easy to cool off in the pool. Whit meets you at the bottom of the hill leading up to the house to make sure you find it and then gives you a tour of the house. The tour was a nice touch, although perhaps a bit long for the younger kids in our group. 😂 The place is a short drive to the beaches and cute little restaurants in Uvita. We loved the house and Uvita and would love to come back!

Whit’s villa is spectacular! It is extremely clean, has every amenity you can dream of and is a great space for large families and friends to gather and make memories. The beds are super comfortable, each bedroom has an en-suite and half baths are available on each level. The game room is a huge bonus and a great space for kids and adults. The pool, BBQ area and sunken lounge were such special and unique places to spend time together. We were able to see toucans, scarlet macaws and hear the beautiful sounds of nature. The kitchen is commercial grade. Every tool you can imagine is provided and is top of the line. Whit provides detailed information about the villa and the local communities that were extremely helpful and added a lot of value. One of our faves was his dining guide with detailed info and helpful tips. It really made our dining experiences more wonderful! Our concierge, Simone, was the BEST! She’s passionate about making your time soexial experiences

Whit’s Villa was absolutely incredible! The villa is immaculate, and Whit has thought of every possible detail to make your stay unforgettable. He personally welcomed us, showed us the way to the villa, and gave us a tour. His extensive binders filled with top recommendations around Uvita are a treasure, definitely use them! They won’t let you down. The view is breathtaking, creating the perfect backdrop to watch the sunset. Whit connected us with his amazing concierge, Simone, who went above and beyond to make our trip truly memorable. She arranged thrilling adventures for our family, from zip-lining to ATV rides. Both Whit and Simone are super responsive, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free.

Whit was super helpful and so kind welcoming us. He showed us around and explained some of the home’s amenities and operations. His home guides with suggestions were on point and we loved the restaurants listed as favorites. Was very quick to assist when we had a question about outdoor shower…Simone was a wonderful asset all week, making us reservations and being so helpful and responsive! Chef Vlad made us an incredible dinner! It was fabulous and our favorite evening as a family!! Would do it all again!

Our stay was everything you would hope for when away on vacation. Whit truly cares about EVERY detail and accommodations and this is what it is all about. Although we ran into a delay in check in with contruction on traveling there Whit was extremely patient. He met us there and gave us a tour of everything which simplified and eliminated any future questions. Grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, entertainment etc is all just minutes away, which is perfect. The view was beautiful and captivating. I would for sure return and would highly recommend!!

We had a small group that had a wonderful time at the villa, the layout is very well thought out, lots of different spaces, beautiful pool and hote tub for sunsets, lots of small details woven into the stay and Whit was always available. Def recommend this villa.

An incredible house! The photos don't do it justice; it's so much better in person. It has every amenity you could possibly need and more! Luxury surrounded by nature with a spectacular view of the ocean and the surrounding countryside. You couldn't ask for more from Whitney; he's always attentive to even the smallest detail, and his tips for enjoying the area are fantastic! We will be back!

Everything was perfect! A very good place

This gorgeous home exceeded all our expectations. One of the best parts was the amazing sunset you can see right from the pool/patio every day. The home is pristine and the pool was gorgeous. We loved the sunken living room outside and spent a ton of time there. The huge dining table was great for the seven of us for playing games and having meals. Everyone loved their bedrooms and beautiful bathrooms. Overall it was the perfect house for the perfect vacation. Whit was super responsive whenever we needed anything or had questions. The location is perfect…close to everything yet located in a quiet area in the mountains. We highly recommend this gorgeous home for your visit to Costa Rica.

10☆ Airbnb! Excellent, very clean villa with the most comfortable beds and linens. Super location! stunning view! Once you arrive, you will never want to leave! Whit was amazing! We had a flat tire the night we arrived 1 mile from the villa. The tire and rim wouldn't come off so he took all 8 of us and our luggage to the villa and took us to the Adobe Rental Car the next morning. He was super responsive to any issues! We have stayed in alot of Airbnb's across the world and this definitely ranks as ONE OF THE BEST! We will return!

Our family had a phenomenal stay at Whit’s beautiful home. The pictures and description were accurate and the home provided more than enough space for 6 of us. We all had privacy, but plenty of areas to gather. The view was beautiful. Easy access to town and all of our activities for the week. Villa Azul was a true haven and perfect launch point for our epic friends group adventure vacation in and around Uvita. Our group loved the comfort and amenities of the house, the magical ocean and jungle view from the pool area, the helpful tips and communication from the host Whit, but most of all, the amazing service and assistance we received from the concierge Simone. Her help and advice with nearly step of our extensive itinerary was comprehensive and invaluable and insured we had an optimized and stress free experience with all the wonderful activities this special part of Costa Rica has to offer. In particular Simone’s ocean snorkeling and river safari excursion is a “must do”. Simone helped me find and book the best experiences, and saved me tons of both time and money. Both Whit and Simone provided prompt and kind communication leading up to and throughout our stay. The entire experience was exceptional and truly 5 Stars all around.

A truly spectacular stay. The house is even better than what's shown in the photos, with an incredible layout, very spacious rooms and all the spaces are very well equipped. Whit’s place was an absolute gem. The house is in a location with an unbeatable view that can be seen from plenty of rooms and the common spaces. The pool and hot tub were perfect and the view at sunset was exceptional. The house came with a concierge (Simone) and if requested a chef (Vlad)…neither disappointed!! Would highly recommend Chef Vlad for his breakfast and dinners as they were delicious! Would also recommend a day excursion with Simone to Corcovado national park where we saw whales, monkeys, macaws, crocodiles, etc. really it was such a special day. For a group of 8 we had plenty of space and I would recommend this place to other groups as well! 4x4 car recommended to get up to the house but you will be in excellent hands during your stay. Whitney’s place was immaculate! Vlad serviced our stay and his knowledge in the kitchen is what you need on every vacation! His portions were just right. The flavors. The variety. I would recommend Vlad and his chef services to anyone staying at this beautiful home. Whitney had lots of recommendations for restaurants around the area. The house is perfectly laid out for a family or a group of friends on vacation. Everyone has their space and room for lots of social time. The jacuzzi area was perfect ! Bar spaces were ample. Lots of sitting areas to enjoy the views. Pura Vida at its finest.

After staying at more than 30+ airbnbs, I can easily say that staying here was a decadent experience. You'll feel like royalty from sun up to sun down on top of the mountain. Easy to get to ALL of the top beaches, restaurants and destinations. It's hard to imagine you will ever find better accommodations ANYWHERE. After staying at many amazing airbnbs I've given 5 star reviews to, I feel like they should all be demoted to a 3 star experience after staying here...This place is truly an EPIC 5 star stay and Whit is a terrific host. Returning here after an action packed day was as relaxing as it gets ...enjoying the bar amenities, Bluetooth music everywhere, a game room, and sleeping in on comfortable beds and fine linens really was a magical experience. I can only hope I can make it back here one day!

Everything was so beautiful in our stay at Cielo Azul!!! Whit works with an amazing team of people and they all made our stay absolutely phenomenal and a breeze! Let’s start with Simone! She is the house concierge and is so helpful and a pleasure to work with! She was very responsive with all my questions and request! Next on the list is Chef Vlad! We hired chef for our first dinner at the house and also for a full service day. Everything was top tier! May I add, he cooked for a house of 8 women and we were all very impressed! It was the best idea we had, in hiring a private chef! I will say, I miss the lunch ceviche he made us! It was the best fresh ceviche I have ever had! But it all was phenomenal and delicious! Gilbert was our private driver during our stay, who Simone helped set up for us! He was so attentive, helpful, and very patient with us! Bless his heart! Very easy going with our planned schedule and also when we changed it up! Would book this villa again in a heartbeat!

She took us on our snorkeling tour & to spend the day with Indigenous Boruca Sergio & his mom. Such a beautiful experience. Vlad, our chef, was AMAZING!!!! His bartending skills were on point too and he became like family!!! Don’t hesitate on staying here I promise you’ll love it!! We stayed at Whit’s place for one week as two families with young children. The size of the home was very spacious for our group of 10 and the location of the home feels very private. The views from the hot tub, pool, master bedroom, and dining space are all absolutely phenomenal! Which the owner, Simone the concierge, Vlad the chef are all true gems. Simone helped us plan our entire trip by offering recommendations that look for activities and was always immediately responsive, including when we couldn’t find our shuttle driver at 6 AM!. Vlad the chef is friendly, punctual, creative, and allows for a gourmet experience at the house. Highest recommendation for this amazing villa!

Our family of 6 adults and 5 children (6 to 16) just returned from a 5 night stay at Cielo Azul Villa, and honestly our visit was exceptional. Whitney the owner/ host met and escorted us to the villa from the main road, and then gave us a thorough tour of this amazing property.The guidebook he put together had wonderful suggestions and recommendations for local attractions, conveniences and restaurants. The layout of the villa provided for family togetherness and private time. All the amenities were top notch. We cannot say enough good things about Simone, the concierge of the villa. Simone was extremely helpful making reservations for our adventures, and is very knowledgeable about everything that would make your vacation exceptional. We communicated often with Simone before and during our visit, and her prompt replies were appreciated. We absolutely recommend hiring the personal chef Vlad, who prepared and served delicious dinners for all 5 nights. Well worth it!

Amazing Views! Great place, spacious, with nice furnishings. The layout of the floorplan was great, everyone could spread out and do their own thing or come together in the several large communal areas. Kitchen had great amenities and quality gear. Location was superb, about 8 minutes to Uvita and Playa Hermosa, and about 15 minutes to Dominical. House is up on the the hill but road is paved with easy access. Would definitely stay again.

If you enjoy exploring on wheels, long-term rentals for ATVs, scooters, motorbikes are available in Uvita, making transportation easy beyond rental cars. A huge thanks to Whitney, Simone, and Chef Vlad for making our trip unforgettable. We can't wait to come back! Be prepaired - a shuttle from SJO should be ~4 hours; however our Friday arrival and bad accidents turned it into 6 hours, its worth it though!

Whitney is a five star host went well beyond the needed to stay on top of things and was very helpful with all our needs His concierge Simone was an amazing concierge as good as anything you get a 5 diamond hotel The house itself was amazing with every amenity. I booked this house for a girls trip for my 25th birthday and I’m so glad I did. It was quite some distance from the airport but 100% worth it. The house was gorgeous and a great way to reconnect with nature. During my trip it was raining every day (came the end of rainy season) even with the rain it was amazing. The house is so nice you don’t even need to leave to have a good Time. I definitely suggest utilizing a private chef. We had meals prepared at the house by chef Vlad and it was by far the highlight of the house. Not only was everything he cooked magnificent, but his service was phenomenal as well. I told him what I liked to eat and every meal prepared was catered to our group and the food got better and better every day. He was such a delight and it was an honor to try personal dishes prepared by him. His food and presentation was made with love and it definitely showed. His wife Simone was also so helpful and kind. Her knowledge of the area made planning the trip easier.

Our stay at the villa was incredible—better than the photos. The space was perfect for our group of 10, and Whitney’s thoughtful birthday decorations in the dining room added a special touch. Simone, the co-host, was very responsive at all hours, which made the stay feel welcoming. The chef’s food was exceptional, a true 11/10. However, the sudden price change and the attitude during that discussion were disappointing. The location itself is beautiful, a hidden gem for those looking to relax at the villa, but logistics are challenging. The 9-hour drive from Liberia Airport and unexpected traffic in Costa Rica prevented us from exploring our itinerary. Additionally, the driver arranged through the villa raised the rates after each initial quote, which was frustrating. Overall, we’re thankful for the wonderful stay and hospitality, but we hope future guests can avoid the issues we encountered.

If you've ever wanted to stay in a $2+million dollar house, this is the one to try. Sweeping view of the ocean, wide open covered spaces to enjoy that view. Huge hot tub and pool. Huge, well equipped kitchen. Lots of private spaces to spread out.

Our stay at Cielo Azul was absolutely wonderful and it’s all because of our hosts, Whitney and Simone. Before we even arrived, Simone reached out and made sure we were set up with shuttles to and from the airport, and a rental car delivered and picked up at our house. Simone also attained all of our excursions and made sure we were happy with everything. And when we did arrive, Whitney was there to ensure safe arrival and provided a personal tour of the property along with all details we needed to know. But the cherry on top was Chef Vlad who made some of the best meals our family has ever had. We will surely miss his meals! This trip was one for the books and it was all due to the amazing service we received from our hosts. I can’t say thank you enough!

Was an absolutely beautiful place with infinity pool, hot tub and all the amenities. Host gave us a personal tour when we arrived. The concierge Simone and her husband Vlad, the personal chef, were wonderful. Had an amazing tour of the mangrove preserve as well as whale and dolphin watching and other wildlife. Was a perfect day. Simone also went out of her way to help me navigate a traffic violation that was very expensive and was able to get it dropped! Amazing couple. Highly recommend!

“He’s an icon, he’s a legend, and he is the moment.” Whitney took amazing care of us and the home was stunning. From the get go he assisted in us with everything from information on the laws, car rentals, activities, directions, restaurants, all of it. I think that the quality of the host is just as important of the quality of the home. Would 100% stay here again. Can’t recommend it enough. It was the perfect mix of resort style mixed with privacy and state of the art assimilation into Costa Rican landscape.

Words cannot describe this trip - was even better in person / Host was amazing / quickly responded every time / he met us 5 hours later than expected due to traveling delays to take us directly to the home (up in the mountains) and did a tour-very helpful, gave great recommendations and even offered us another night stay when there was a hurricane warning at my hometown. We were a group of 10 - highly recommend: - Jungle ATV’s excursion - Mountain Views, Waterfall, coffee farm, river to swim in, etc., - Chef Vlad for Private Chef - we had brunch and dinner with dessert at the home; food and his Mango and Strawberry Daiquiri’s were sooo good. - Mangrove Tour / Cano Island - Simone (She was the best - extremely nice any helpful from start to finish. We combined these 2 excursions in one and WOW - we saw wild Monkeys, Dolphins, Humpback whales, mostly everyone did snorkeling and saw Sea Turtles and beautiful fishes We would do this trip all over again!

Whitney is a wonderful, helpful host. He gave detailed instructions at check-in, was responsive during our stay and his recommendations were spot on. When you visit, do yourself a favor and hire Chief Vlad. I took the advice of a previous reviewer and hired Vlad to have dinner ready for us when we arrived. After a long flight and a 3.5-hour drive from the airport, we didn’t want to have to cook. Vlad’s friendly, inviting demeanor and exemplary culinary skills were the perfect addition to our vacation. Ask him about the plantain cake, I’m not sure what it’s called but it’s excellent! A definite must-do.

My cousins and I had a fantastic time at this property! It was fully equipped with everything we needed and more! The host met us upon arrival, which was great because finding the property without him leading the way may have been a bit tricky. He gave us a tour, went over House rules, and provided additional information. The home was extremely clean, the interior was decorated to the “T” and overall it was immaculate. During our stay, there was a storm that did cause a power outage. Be prepared for this to happen, apparently this one lasted much longer than most, but the villa was equipped with flashlights, candles, and good vibes.

The property was amazing! It was everything I hoped for. The pool was perfect and the jacuzzi was fantastic. Whit sent plenty of recommendations prior to our stay and suggested add-ons. Since the day of our arrival consisted of long travel, I contacted Whit to ask for his private chef, Vladimir, and for massages at the villa. After a 7 hour drive, a relaxing day at the villa was exactly what we needed. Vladimir, the private chef, was professional and detailed and the flavors and presentation were top-tier. We requested lobster for dinner for half of our guests and his wife let us know that lobster was unavailable everywhere they went. I said not to worry and that we would all do fish instead, however, Vladimir went above and beyond to find the lobster! It was an excellent meal and a perfect birthday celebration. The recommendation for massages that was by the pool was amazing. This villa was worth the long drive! This place was spacious and every detail was thoughtfully considered!

The home was beautiful. Everyone loved the home. He had everything to make for a great stay. The home has plenty for space to spread out. great home for multiple families.

Whitney‘s villa was beautiful. Definitely listen to his detailed instructions on how to get up the mountain. We did not make the right turn and ended up on a very steep slope. The next morning he came and showed us the correct way and it was so much easier to drive up, every single room was beautiful and had its own bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped and we hung out by the pool during the day. Beware you are in the jungle, so there is a lot of bugs, but we are able to keep most of them outside and slept comfortably at night, you’re only 10 minutes from the town and another 15 minutes from Dominical. Please review his binder of suggested restaurants. We loved all of the places we visited.

If you're searching for the perfect getaway in Costa Rica, look no further. This property is equipped with everything you might need during your stay. The place itself is even nicer than the pictures suggest, with stunning views and very well-chosen furniture. Whitney himself is super friendly and always responded to all our questions almost immediately. He knows all about the activities, nice restaurants, and places nearby. Very helpful. We were a large group with young kids and host went above and beyond to recommend attractions and give us helpful tips to ease the stay. The Airbnb was even better in person. Host met us at a meeting point 4 min away and guided us to the house as well as gave us a helpful tour with a lot of info. Loved every bit of the trip.

Whitney’s home was absolutely stunning and peaceful. Opening all of the doors during the day to enjoy the jungle and ocean views with a cup of coffee was something else. The home was spotless, and comfortable for me and my guests. He has a large binder of rules, instructions, recommendations and even non recommended places that we found extremely helpful. I highly recommend this place and truly did not want to leave.

I have been staying at Airbnb’s and VRBO’s since 2006 and this was the most beautiful place we ever stayed at. My children and grandchildren loved it. Whitney was so kind and helpful and gave us wonderful support. The home is very special. My grandchildren used the pool and hot tub every evening. It was very special and very beautiful. Whitney was an unbelievable host. He went above and beyond. From the wine and local beers to recommendations and accommodations. He knew the town well and plenty of good spot to visit. By far the best host I’ve had during my travels.

The house and view was absolutely gorgeous and spacious. The only concern was the drive to how high the house was alittle scary. That we decided not to go out at night under of how scary the road at night. The owner did though give us a number to a taxi driver that was able to get us food and coffee.

This is a great spot to relax. The pool and view are amazing. We had a few downpours during our stay and it was fantastic to sit outside with the pool lights on and watch the rain. A very easy place to relax.

I don’t even know where to begin with Whitney’s place. I had an amazing week at the most beautiful villa. No 4x4 needed. It was spotless and we didn’t encounter any bugs (and being in the jungle that’s a challenge — just a testament to the meticulous care the owner gives his property) and It looks EXACTLY like the photos. The views are even more spectacular than the photos. Our family took full advantage of the pool, jacuzzi, bbq and many patios/decks to enjoy sunrises, sunsets, and even the meditative sounds of the rain. We saw toucans, monkeys, and so many other birds. Whitney is also an amazing host. He gave us a full run down of the home, all the amenities it offered, and even left a binder full of recommendations, and the info he shared in case you forgot. There was not a single thing that was not thought of. The only regret I have was that we didn’t stay longer. A week just wasn’t long enough. Thank you Whitney for opening up your beautiful home and being an amazing host.

Whit’s house was breathtaking! From his lovely amenities to the beautiful views each day, what’s not to love. The house was spacious enough to fit my family of 11. Whit was very insightful and provided great recommendations.

For anyone who is looking for a private amazing place to start with family or friends this is the place. Whitney was such an amazing host. The house itself of hidden in and so well worth it. You ave the most a amazing views from almost every room in the house. Whitney has a VERY detailed book that goes through everything. Activities, restaurant the house etc. He is always available to help if you need him. And we’ll the house was spectacular we had our family plus our extended family with use and we fit comfy. Each room is unique with plenty of closet all rooms have amazing washrooms. The kids enjoyed the pool. If we visit again we will mostly staying here again. Thank your Whitney for your attention to detail en everything.

Nice house, very well-equipped and close to the tourist places.

We had a wonderful 9 nights at Whitney’s place . The house was clean, tidy and spacious. Probably the most outstanding feature of the house was the covered outdoor lounge, jacuzzi and most of the pool . We were able to sit outside and enjoy these even during the afternoon and evening rain storms. We had a lovely view of the ocean and constantly heard the sounds of birds in the trees. The kitchen was well supplied with everything you may or may not need. Covered outdoor bbq, recycling bins, even ground coffee, milk and some spices . Great location, close to stores and many restaurant ( 5 min) . A 4x4 is an absolute must to reach the house. Whitney patiently waited for our late arrival and guided us up the hill to the house . He gave clear instructions and recommendations for activities and restaurants. The few times I reached out to him, he responded promptly. He was an excellent host! The house was a great choice!
