Awesome place to stay with the family. Everyone had their private space and the open air living spaces and the pool were amazing. Close walk to the beach and great restaurants nearby.
We had a very nice and restful week in Mihail’s house. We especially enjoyed the outdoor living area, which provided shade and often a nice breeze on the hot days, as well as the pool. It was also great that we could walk to the beach and restaurants. For groups it is a plus that each room has its own access and bathroom. However, there were also some drawbacks. One is that some of the chairs (it would have been nice to have 8 chairs instead of 6) are wobbly, one so bad that it broke and my aunt fell from it and hit her head against a big plant pot. Fortunately, nothing worse happened. We also had problems with a mouldy smell in one of the bedrooms in the first days (went away after lots of ventilation and leaving the AC on) and with not being able to close dishwasher due to a screw sticking out. Communication with Mihail was very good, became a bit slower towards the end. Beautiful house that needs a bit of maintenance.
We had the most amazing stay at puerta azul Extremely easy check in and check out process and Mihail was so responsive and helpful when we had questions. Perfectly located (10 min atv to the best restaurants, beaches, and local bars). Highly recommend if you’re coming to Nosara - truly the best Airbnb experience I have ever had!
We had a great stay here and would definitely recommend it to others. The layout of the house was very unique, with the pool and outdoor living space in the center, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The property is surrounded by beautiful tropical plants and vegetation, and we loved hearing monkeys in the mornings. The location is convenient and close to the beach. When we arrived there was a small issue that was completely out of the host’s control, but he was very responsive and helped resolve it right away. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and really enjoyed our time here.
The place is really beautiful. We had an amazing time celebrating my husband’s birthday. The host recommends 4x4, but a SUV can do as long as it’s not raining. We’ll be definitely coming back!
Milhail’s place was exactly what we wanted! From the private pool to watching the monkeys eat mangos off of the tree outside we loved every second of our stay! Not only was it close to beautiful beaches, but it was also quiet and spacious. Beautiful space! Would stay with Milhail again!
This place was fantastic for our group. The outdoor living area, the open air kitchen and the pool were wonderful. You feel like you’re in your own world once you enter. The place was very clean upon arrival, with the exception of the pool. We ended up removing lots of debris, but I believe the pool service is scheduled once a week, so perhaps a storm hit right before we arrived. Not a big deal. The location is walking distance to the beach and it’s not hard to find the place. I think it should be noted that it’s on a really rough stretch of road and a hill. Low clearance or 2wd vehicles would have a tough time especially in the rain. Also, it’s right between two other houses and surrounded by construction in the neighborhood, so keep this in mind if you’re looking for a secluded location with views of the forest. All in all, awesome place for a good price and it made a great home base.
Great location — close to the beach while still feeling quite private. We had a great stay overall; the villa is spacious, fully equipped, and has a nice open layout. That said, there were a few downsides. The pool looked dirty when we arrived, with some areas not properly cleaned and a slightly greenish tone. By day 3, it looked even worse. When I say it didn’t match the pictures, it’s specifically because of how dirty it was. The AC units were working but not cooling as expected — the fans helped, but AC performance could be improved. Some areas also felt a bit worn and in need of maintenance. The outdoor sofas were quite dirty with visible stains. Overall, great house and location, but it could benefit from better upkeep, especially the pool.
Loved this place - exactly as described and the perfect configuration for our group - 5 adults and two small kids. The common spaces were beautiful, spacious and well-appointed, and the sleeping areas were all excellent and great to have our own bathrooms. Pool was the perfect size for little kids. No concerns with safety - it’s a busy area with lots of tourist families. The road to drive in is very bumpy and steep (and dusty) but fine for a regular mid-sized SUV. Close to the beach, though we didn’t end up walking because it was a tricky with little kids. Not an ideal swimming beach for us, but we drove to Samara twice which was perfect. Would definitely recommend this place!
Our family of four really enjoyed Mihail’s place for 9 nights in early March. The highlights were the open concept layout centered around the pool and the short 5 minute walk to the beach. We felt lucky to find a rental that essentially had an outdoor living room and shaded pool to beat the afternoon heat. The kitchen has a large window that opens to the outdoor area which was so nice. The outdoor shower was also wonderful so we weren’t tracking sand through the house. Bonus - every morning we could see at least 6 howler monkeys overhead. Mihail was the best host, always incredibly responsive and helpful before and during our stay. He also helped us reschedule our stay and was incredibly gracious about it, which I’m so grateful for.
Fantastic location, super clean and cozy! We loved seeing the monkeys every day hanging on the trees above the pool! Close to everything we needed. Had a perfect time!
Layout was great, very nice big kitchen and large rooms, really nice to have open living area next to pool as well as each room having its own bathroom. Nosara is very dusty during the dry months so be aware. Had howler monkeys visiting a few times which made our stay even more special. Very close waking distance to Playa Pelada. Mihail was very responsive to all of our inquiries. It would be nice if this property offered use of a washer/dryer, especially for long visits, but we came prepared and managed without any problem. Overall great location, we had a wonderful stay!
Amazing!!! We loved everything about our stay. The home is beautiful, safe, and has a lot of charm. Mihail was friendly and quick to respond with any questions. The home is near some really great local spots and the best part was being able to walk to the beach! Incredible, would love to come back and stay again. Book it :)
For those that want to disconnect, Casa Azul is the perfect home. We very much enjoyed the open air space of the “living room & dining room” daily and never missed having television with the amount of walkable attractions from the home. For the days that I had to work, the internet was excellent (some intermittent power outages over our stay but that’s to be expected in Costa Rica!). The home was exceptionally clean and all maintenance folk that came some of the days were always helpful & kind. Mijal was a perfect host - always responsive and showed a genuine want for us to thoroughly enjoy our time at his home. From the house, it is a short walk to Playa Pelada and our fave restaurants in the area, Olga’s and Pepperon ||. For those wanting ATV excursions or surf lessons, I cannot recommend our friends at Monkey Mafia near Playa Guiones Nosara enough. This home is also in the exact neighborhood that we love to stay in and would 100% stay at Casa Azul again!! PURA VIDA!!
Highly recommend!! Mihail’s place was fantastic for our stay in Nosara! Beautiful, comfortable, and clean as the pictures showed. Easy walk to Playa Pelada beach and town. Mihail was a responsive host when we had questions. I hope to come back in the future!
