Great spot 2 blocks from the beach. Can watch the sunset from the balcony overlooking the pool. Candice is a great host and was very accommodating around check in and check out while I was in between places. Fantastic communication all around!
The house was comfortable and casual. The standouts include: great location, spacious home, main pool, local businesses very close by and proximity to beach. An unforeseen event during our stay was handled professionally and quickly by Candice. We appreciated the help and the rest of our stay was great.
Very safe and quiet area just outside of Tamarindo. Easy walk to the beach or downtown. South Tamarindo beach was great for swimming. We comfortably stayed with 2 couples and 3 kids. Very nice that everyone had their own bathroom. The kids loved the rooftop hammock and pool. We loved Costa Rica and we will definitely be back!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Playa Langosta. The property was perfect - near the beach, in a quiet area and the unit had all the amenities we needed for a group of five. Candice was very responsive and answered any question we had during our trip - big and small! Pro tip: get a golf cart in town and use to get into Tamarindo and elsewhere. It made our trip even more enjoyable and relaxing. Also we walked to the national beach across the estuary numerous times which was utterly stunning. Pura Vida!
We had a great stay with our family of 5. Candice was an excellent host and very responsive. Condo is large with plenty of room and a nice layout. It is showing some wear and not quite as pristine as photos appear. Beach access is across the road, although too rocky to swim. 10 minute walk for a swimmable beach. We ended up renting a golf cart for 24 hours which made trips back and forth with beach gear a breeze. Easy walk to restaurants and small grocery store. Very safe and friendly neighborhood.
We’ve never been so excited about a booked Airbnb as we were about this one, and we were so happy to be able to book it on such short notice. We wanted to treat ourselves to something nice, so we booked this seemingly high-quality house. When we arrived, we were extremely shocked and disappointed by the condition of the house. It no longer corresponds at all to the condition shown in the pictures. The roof terrace was extremely filthy. There were food scraps stuck to the table, the sunbed was dirty and had yellow stains, and the hot tub didn’t work. The lower pool was very dirty. In general, the house is no longer in good condition. The furniture is outdated, and you don’t feel comfortable sitting on it. The sun loungers by the pool are falling apart. The windows haven't been cleaned in ages. The dishwasher is particularly unpleasant. It is extremely calcified and filthy. Overall, the house has not been renovated for a long time, and it is urgently overdue.
This place is exactly like the photos and was a perfect home base for our group of 6. All three rooms have ensuite bathrooms, making it a great place for a multi-couple trip. The pools are fantastic to have and everything is very well stocked. If you're thinking about this place, do yourself a favour and book it!
We really enjoyed the location. Quiet but easy to get to more night life and action in Tamarindo. An easy 15- 20 minute walk away. Or a 5 minute Uber. Just a 2 minute walk to the beach. The place was great- travelled with 3 young adult children, 4 adults total. Lots of space to enjoy, we really liked spending evenings in the pool upstairs watching the stars. Beautiful!
This air bnb is an excellent find! We loved spending time by the pool and on the rooftop! The location can’t be beat - it’s a quiet, secure and nice area plus it’s a quick (and cheap) uber to downtown tamarindo. The path to the beach is directly across from the property. This beach does have stronger waves and is more rocky but families of all ages can still enjoy it. Find the sign for the $45 1 hr beach massage to the left of the walking path - it was amazing! We saw families of wild monkeys a couple times during our stay (roughly a block from the house). Tandoor Indian restaurant is within walking distance - one of the beast meals we’ve ever had. There is also a little coffee / açaí bowl spot within walking that was great. Thank you Candice for a great stay and for quick help with questions! Pura vida! 🌴💕🤙🏻 🐒
This house in Playa Langosta is great. We loved the location, privacy, and security. It is super close to the beach and restaurants. We enjoyed the easy walk to Tamarindo as well. The host was super responsive and we loved all their recommendations. We hope to stay here again.
A solid villa just steps from the ocean. We loved those playa langosta sunsets, wow! The location is the best part. The villa had what we needed. It has been subjected to not insignificant wear & tear — which is understandable just not what we expected from the photos.

Candice was very helpful and provided great information to help guide us to restaurants and excursions that made our trip memorable. She was responsive when there were a few issues with the Villa and the maintenance team was courteous and prompt. The location is fantastic, just across the street from the beach access point and we loved being able to be on the beach in under a minute! It's within walking distance to the restaurants and night life but in a quiet neighborhood so sleeping was not a problem. Great trip, thank you Candice!
We had a great visit to Costa Rica and loved this property. The location is close enough to Tamarindo but not too close. The restaurants in the area are walkable and all of them were really good. On multiple days we walked to Playa Langosta and we were one of only a few people on that side of the beach. Each morning we had coffee and enjoyed the roof. The property is quiet and in a well designed group of condos. It feels a little like the Mediterranean. The inside of the property is a little dated. It looks a little more modern in the pictures. It’s clean, comfortable and perfect for a beach stay. Candice is very kind and immediately helpful if there is a problem. We would return.
