I highly recommend Cédric and Maria's place. Great value for money! A welcoming, flexible family that does much more than just offer accommodation. We immediately felt comfortable there! We enjoyed the many tips and discussions about the social and local context of the place. Hosts are involved in their community and we see that it's important to them. Located in a small quiet village 10 mins. walk from a beautiful surf beach or apart from locals, there is almost no one! Breathtaking sunsets, a comfortable and spacious cabin. Waking up to the songs of birds and howler monkeys, it was a real joy. *I recommend having a car to make travel easier. Thank you for everything! :)

Fantastic cabin, beautiful teak floor, very airy and spacious with everything you need for a few days....hot shower, great bed, fans, lots of sockets, WiFi, lovely small pool, great garden. Surrounded by gardens with birds and butterflies. 15 minutes walk to great beach for swimming and beginners surfing.

What a nice place.

My son (6) and I spent a month in the cabana and we loved it. So close to nature you can hear the howler monkeys singing in the morning. The new pool and outdoor shower kept us cool. The warm indoor shower and ready supply of fresh linens kept us clean. The kitchen had all we needed to make delicious meals from the local shop. The bed was super comfy and the hammocks perfect place for a nap. We were introduced to brilliant surf and skating instructors. Adored the local beach and enjoyed bumpy adventures along the roads to other picturesque beaches nearby. If you need a tourist fix Marbella is in between the much busier Tamarindo or Nosara. But Marbella in the rainy season was mui tranquilo and a paradise. We saw hummingbirds, butterflies and even were lucky enough to catch sea turtles laying in the near by Ostional nature reserve. Cedric, Maria and their lovely son made us feel completely at home. And we really miss them and the beautiful garden they have built by the ocean

An absolutely unreal spot! All the amenities you could hope for and more. The space is simple but has everything you need to cook and hang out. Maria and Cedric were incredible hosts. Very responsive and gave us great recommendations both before and during our stay. We will absolutely be back. We loved the local surf break, skating bowl and enjoyed the annual rodeo.

We were allowed to stay with Cedric and Maria for 2 weeks. We felt very comfortable in the one room house. Maria and Cedric were very helpful and super friendly. This is how airbnb is fun...

We enjoyed our stay at Maria and cedric house it was wonderfull, car port for the car was provided and recommandation for surf spot tide and rental. as well as local restaurant and places to go. The house is exactly what is picture, be ready for a true Costa Rican experience and you will be fine. The accessibility to grocery store is limited stop in Santa Cruz on the way to get some grocery. there is 2 small corner/grocery store in town as well as a local bar. tiki hut is a good place to have a drink. El Sueño de Ramona is the best table in town and one of the best experience you will have in Costa Rica for sure. open only Friday/Saturday evening have a 4x4 or something with a little bit of ground clearance small SUV will Do. we stayed during the dry season and it was lovely. bugnet is provided for the bed if you wanna use it. thank you again to Cedric for everything ! hope to see you again

My man and I loved this place. It was beautiful, peaceful, and safe. It is gated. There is a private skate bowl in property and plenty of relaxing places to meditate, setup hammock, or just lay in grass. Extremely close to local mini market and the Marbella waves. Highly recommend to anyone visiting and wants a traditional Costa Rican cabana experience. I would not consider it a luxury stay if you are used to modern or European architecture but this is not the culture or lifestyle of Marbella or Costa Rica.. so embrace it and enjoy! We will be back again and again!

Cedrick and Maria are excellent hosts. The house is well stocked. Fans provided great airflow in the no air conditioned house. We were visiting our son who was staying in adjacent property that Cedrick has. Perfect for us. Nice gate. Always felt secure. We love Marbella for the surfing. Only recommendations would be an indoor clothes line in the bathroom to hang clothes since we visited in the rainy season. The mosquito net for the bed was a great amenity. Definitely would stay again. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyed my stay in Marbella. Very peaceful surroundings and Cedric’s place has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Very friendly hosts and an epic setup, recommend for those looking for the eco accommodation experience.

A beautiful tree house close to quiet local beaches away from tourist hotspots. You need to have a car to get here. Cedric and Maria are beautiful people who gave us plenty of local recommendations including beaches, restaurants etc. They left beach chairs, towels, and an esky. The closest beach, Playa Frijolar, was by far the nicest in the area with black, volcanic sand.
