Excellent place, as seen in the photos, very clean, organized and welcoming. Well located. A 4x4 vehicle is recommended because the access to the road has many potholes. Otherwise, everything is great.

Excellent Airbnb in Puerto Viejo. The place was very clean, comfortable and well-equipped, with an ideal location to enjoy the area. The hosts were very nice and helpful throughout the stay. I definitely recommend it and would stay here again.

They were total geniuses. They were always attentive to everything without being annoying. I honestly felt very comfortable because if I had any problems, they always solved them, and on top of that, they went the extra mile. I traveled alone and felt very safe. The place is incredible.

We had a lovely stay at the property, which was very clean. And I liked that there was drinking water in the accommodation and that you could always cool off in the small pool on the property. Right near the beach super beautiful place , bungalow was surrounded by trees so had privacy . Enjoyed my time here and was able to have a good reset !

Recommended accommodation, located very close to the beach. Although the cabins are close to each other, it feels super private. Very clean and comfortable. The internet doesn't work very well, but it's perfect for unwinding.

A good place to stay

The accommodation is exactly as shown in the photos, quite comfortable and safe. The check-in and entry instructions for the property are extremely clear, and the fact that it has a gated, dedicated entrance for each unit is something that is hard to find in the area. It is quite close to the main beaches, restaurants, and downtown Puerto Viejo. Inside the property, privacy from the other units is very good. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to visit Puerto Viejo at a very reasonable price.

The place is very nice, comfortable and super cozy. It is very well located, close to everything, and it is also in excellent condition in terms of cleanliness. It really has everything you need for a pleasant stay. However, in our case, we had a last-minute problem for work reasons beyond our control, which forced us to leave earlier than planned. Although we understand that there are cancellation policies, on this occasion it was not possible to reach any kind of agreement or alternative, which was a shame considering the situation. We mention this as an observation for future guests, as in the event of any unforeseen circumstances, there may not be any options for adjustment. Other than that, the experience at the place itself was very good.

I enjoyed my stay at this bungalow for a week, I slept great, even with the birds tapping the windows, lol, the howling monkeys, and all the other animals around. I felt safe and private where I was, the room accommodated simple things, such as towels, coffee, and toiletries in the room which was great! Amazing experience, easy to get around, the beach is literally 5-minute walk across the street, and the locals were so friendly and helpful. The host Esteban was prompt with answers and kindly did a cleaning service in the middle of my stay, well appreciated. I seriously did not want to leave, great for a solo trip, or me time. I would definitely book again.

Everything was perfect. We’re truly happy to have stayed there for several nights and really don’t regret our choice. When we go back to Puerto Viejo, we will definitely stay at the same place again! It was perfect: everything was clean, and on top of that, we were really happy to have hot water, air conditioning, and a pool. Completely safe location. Plus, we could see monkeys and birds right from our balcony. I recommend 110%!

Very nice bungalow and surrounding area. Everything was perfect; they cleaned at no cost halfway through the stay. There was everything you needed to cook something simple and have breakfast in the morning. Two large supermarkets within a 10-minute walk. I recommend walking to Playa Cocles from downtown (like going towards Puerto Viejo), not the one closer to the bungalow. Because during our stay, the sea was rough, and it didn't seem very safe to swim at the nearest beach. For the other beaches, a car or bike is ideal. If you are going to Cahuita, I recommend staying in Punta Vargas, which is super quiet, since the rest of the area, like Playa Blanca, was quite affected by the sargassum.

we had again a wonderful stay and would come back even for a 3rd time! the place was incredible clean, safe and close to everything. The parking inside the property is another big plus. 3 min walk to the beach!

Great stay in Cocles. The place is super close to the beach and to supermarkets/restaurants. The cabin is very comfortable and private, despite sharing the property with 2 other cabins. Recommended 100%. The only thing I would improve is the quality of the Wi-Fi, since it kept disconnecting during the day. Communication with the host was excellent; clear instructions that helped us find the place easily.

It was a great place to stay and lived up to what we had imagined. It was wonderful to wake up every morning to howler monkeys and the feeling of the jungle. A 3-minute walk to the beach, and good restaurants nearby. We felt very comfortable.

My partner and I stayed for a week; we found it very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need, and halfway through the week, they cleaned the place and changed the towels. Excellent location, the beach is close (about 350 meters) and it is very quiet. Restaurants and a supermarket are also nearby. Highly recommended!!

The place is great. Cozy furnishings and in a beautiful location. In the morning, you are woken up by the animals in the nearby forest. We also got great tips for excursions/beaches/supermarkets :)

It was a really wonderful week-long stay. The house has everything you need, although it is not very large, it has a kitchen that is sufficiently equipped for simple meals and everything is very new and very clean, impeccable. The small porch with a table is perfect for meals and for just being there. It is less than a 10-minute walk to the beach, about a 20-25 minute walk if you want to get to the main beach of Cocles. I had a bicycle and with it the location is perfect. I did not meet Esteban personally but he responded very quickly to any message from me, everything was easy. I recommend it without hesitation. And if I can, I will return 😄

I stayed for 2 weeks in the little house and enjoyed it a lot. The house was very clean and equipped. The location is perfect and you get to the beach very quickly. There is a hammock on the balcony where I slept almost every night. There's a lot of privacy and nature.

I spent an entire week at this property and had a wonderful experience. The place is private and secure, which was my top priority. One of the best features is the private parking lot—if you know Puerto Viejo, you know how difficult that is to find! The surroundings are very quiet and filled with beautiful nature, yet the neighborhood feels very safe. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful and secure getaway.

The bungalow has the basics for a quiet stay: kitchen utensils, refrigerator, bottled drinking water, hammock, air conditioning, safe, hair dryer. It was clean and tidy. It is a quiet and small space (but well used). The host responds quickly. It's a short distance from the main street.

A very good stay, in the area there is certainly a lot to do and the time we spent in the accommodation was very pleasant. I want to emphasize that in the photographs the palm trees look small, but they are actually large and provide a very pleasant freshness and privacy. The abundance of nature around was the most incredible thing, too much silence to rest at night, you only hear the sea and nocturnal fauna 🙌🏻🇨🇷

Everything is fine. The fan was worth its weight in gold and the place is surrounded by greenery. Great location, yet very quiet. The bungalow is quite noisy, so you could hear the rain, the neighbors or the traffic. We enjoyed the kitchen very much, as we were able to prepare our breakfast there ourselves.

Truly enjoyed my stay. Even though it rained everyday I still enjoyed getting out and looking for wildlife. Met some travelers from France and Germany and on leaving Cocles I meet them and gave them a lift back to San Jose. A wonderful stay at such a beautiful place. Definitely recommended…

The stay was perfect! The cabin is very comfortable, clean and the place is wonderful! During the stay they changed towels and sheets and cleaned. Only the Internet fluctuated a lot in the morning and at night, but it did not hinder the excellent experience! I highly recommend the cabin!

This Airbnb was great! The property feels very secure, was very clean, had a comfortable bed. Felt centrally located between town and the further beaches, got around easily on a bike I rented from a shop just down the street for a good price. I really appreciated the filtered water and coffee provided. Had a cute little porch for meals and a hammock for relaxing. Only thing to note was that the hot plate only has one burner so can’t make complicated meals but it works well for small simple meals. Would definitely stay again :)

Loved this stay! We saw so many monkeys, sloths, and macaws! The house had everything that we needed. The pool and AC were big wins with the heat. The host was super communicative with any questions we had. Super well worth the price. We even worked from there for a day, and the internet worked well. It was lovely to just be able to walk to the beach!
