The place is wonderful, the views from the deck can’t be beat and you’re just ten steps away from the beach. Just to keep in mind, there are two bedrooms up stairs and three bedrooms downstairs when planning with a large group. The chef Yvonne was awesome - the food was so good and she was very accommodating. And the place is spotless, daily housecleaning everyday!

We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this property. The pool was beautiful, and the ocean views from the porch were absolutely stunning. Traveling with three generations, it was the perfect setup for all ages to relax and enjoy time together. The group spent a lot of time at the beach. A special thank you to Jasmina, who kept everything spotless with daily cleaning, and chef Yvonne, whose meals made the trip extra special and completely stress-free. Their help allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our vacation. The host provided excellent recommendations before and during our stay. We rented a golf cart and a van, which made getting around easy, and the drive from the airport was simple. Having Coco Loco right next door was another huge plus, the food was amazing and the location couldn't have been more convenient. Overall, an outstanding experience that created wonderful family memories. We would gladly stay here again.

We had an amazing stay in Playa Flamingo! The location truly couldn’t be better—just steps from the beach. All you have to do is cross a small street and you’re on one of the most beautiful beaches, with incredible views right from the property. The absolute highlight of our stay was the cook, Ivonne. Her food was outstanding—easily one of the best parts of our trip. She was warm, friendly, and shared great local insight. Booking her is a must if you’re staying here. Jasmine, the housekeeper, was also wonderful—very kind and kept everything spotless throughout our stay. There was so much to enjoy during our time here. We did a sunset catamaran tour, had relaxing massages right on the beach, and loved grabbing coco loco drinks next door. We were also lucky to see wildlife like monkeys, iguanas, crabs, and a variety of beautiful birds, which made the experience even more special. And the sunsets… absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed our 1 week stay with 5 adults and 3 kids. Plenty of space, it never felt crowded. Access to the beach right across the road, couldn’t be any better! We rented a canopy for the week from one of the local guys and that helped to beat the heat. When it was too hot for the beach, we would go back to the pool which was clean and had an inviting outdoor area. No complaint, but the road can be noisy especially mid day into the evening. It never interrupted us or caused issues with sleep though. The chef was 10/10. Recommend booking!

Extreme pura vida! Rent this home, and you will not be disappointed. Hire the chef, no matter what you do, as well. She is beyond amazing!!!!!!! We did not rent a car or other vehicle, and we did not need to, which was awesome. Playa Flamingo is a very clean, beautiful beach right in front of the house. Walter, who rents beach chairs and tents, is most helpful and will give you a good deal for your entire stay. Just remember to bring LOTS of cash; US dollars are fine, smaller bills are better. The house had Christmas decorations, which made our holiday stay very special. I look forward to visiting again :)

The location of this home was even better than expected. You feel as if the beach is your own. The views from the upper deck are breathtaking. Plenty of towels for the pool and beach are provided. Well stocked kitchen. We never had a bad meal at Coco Loco right next door. However, be sure to book Yvonne the chef as well. She is warm and kind and makes absolutely delicious fresh food, and Plenty of it! I will be saving up to come again for sure!

Great house steps from Playa Flamingo Beach on the Pacific Ocean. Hear the waves and watch surfers off the deck. Amazing deck, pool and outdoor space. Wonderful restaurant right next door and walking distance to Margaritaville. Nice beach area.

Words cannot express how awesome this place is. The location is perfect- literally steps to the beach, sunsets that are phenomenal and the waves of the Pacific that rock you to sleep. The house had everything we could want for our family of nine. We had plenty of room and all the amenities we needed. Housekeeping did a fantastic job of keeping everything perfect. If you go, indulge yourself by having the cook Ivonne, make breakfast and dinner for you. You will not be disappointed. We are already planning our return trip.

We had a wonderful time at the house. Beautiful place, outstanding views, beautiful, sunset, peaceful and quiet. Chefs Ivonne and house keeper Jasmine made us feel at home. Top notch service, food was delicious. Property Management Enis, extremely kind and well informed. We will definitely stay there again.

There were six of us who stayed in Lydia's home during spring break week... my family of 4 (including a 16 and 14 year old) and my parents. We enjoyed our stay at the house and Ivonne and Jasmina made the stay EXTRA special. They are both so friendly and so hardworking and I wish they could come with us on every vacation! We had a couple minor issues at the beginning but both were addressed and fixed promptly. The communication from everyone we worked with from start to finish was excellent. The house is on a prime location and the beach is beautiful. A mile long stretch of soft sand and powerful waves (careful with small kids). We rented golf carts and explored the nearby areas but I did wish there was a bit more to see and do in the area. If I were to visit again I would split the trip up to half beach and half jungle/inland. Flamingo is more of a quiet village and unfortunately many of the attractions are a 2-3 hour drive one way. If all you want is beach then this is it!

Book this house! Enis was very responsive met us at check in. Gave us a tour of the house and local recommendations. Jasmina kept the house spotless! Make sure you hire Yvonne for your chef. We will be back next year just for her cooking She bought all the groceries and went to the fish market for us. Her food is amazing better the restaurants and so worth it! This house is across the street from the beach. Walkable to restaurants,grocery store,and the marina.

The Casa Playa was everything we expected and more. We originally got the recommendation from a friend that stayed last year, but we are so glad we came. Group of 10 adults. The rooms were perfect. Plenty of space for us all. the Private pool, easy access to the beach, and all of the help made the trip very enjoyable. Yvonne and Jasmina were so helpful and we loved them. The whole area is gorgeous. We will absolutely be back!

We had an amazing stay. Perfect accommodations for 4 couples. It is literally steps from the beach. It was amazing to listen to the waves all night when sleeping. We loved sitting on the deck facing the ocean. We got to see amazing sunsets from there every night. The table inside and outside on the deck were big enough to fit all of us. We loved having out own pool. We took advantage of the massages. They were amazing and it was wonderful that they came to us and did it right on our deck. Yvonne's food was nothing short of amazing, she was the best. Jasmina went above and beyond cleaning everyday. We felt like we were in our own personal hotel. Enis was very responsive when messaged and even messaged us to check in a couple of times. Many of us said this was our best vacation yet.

We will rent again with Lydia. Her crew took amazing care of us. The cook and housekeeper were attentive and kind. Can’t wait to return to Casa Flamingo

A perfect beach house location! Fabulous sunset view. The beach is wide and long for great morning walk, with soft sand - no shells. Clear warm ocean water and rolling surf. Enjoyed taking a pool noodle over to float in the waves. About 10 steps from gate of house across a small street to the beach. House held our mixed generation family of 8 easily in the 5 bedrooms. The three ground level bedrooms are accessible only from outdoor stairs. We hired the amazing chef Yvonne for 2 meals a day for our 5 day stay. She is amazing and used an outbuilding by the pool to prepare the meals. The housekeeper Jasmina kept the house clean, towels and bedding washed and the dishes done. Yeah we lived like royals lol. Enjoyed a dinner at Coco Loco next door and was a great spot we also recommend. We brought in our own drinks refreshed with a couple of walks to town during stay. Did not have a car with us and that was fine. Overall great time and definitely love to go back!

This Airbnb was perfect for our Thanksgiving escape—right on the beach with stunning views! 🌊 Steps from Coco Loco, walking distance to Margaritaville, and close to shops, the location was unbeatable. We enjoyed massages, rented cabanas, and even hosted a bonfire for 15 on the beach! 🌅🔥 The housekeeper was amazing, keeping everything spotless while respecting our privacy. We also hired the chef for the week, and she delivered incredible meals tailored to our preferences. Be aware: Costa Rican roads can be bumpy, but a car or golf cart works fine—it’s all part of the adventure! The only issue was losing water on Thanksgiving, but the team quickly resolved it the next morning. This was more than an Airbnb—it was an authentic Costa Rican experience. From the location to the hospitality, it’s a stay we’ll never forget! 🌟🇨🇷

The most ideal place to stay for Flamingo beach! Literally across the street with amazing sunset views from the deck. Peaceful and well appointed place ideal for families or a group of friends. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! Only wish we could have stayed longer!

We were blown away in such a positive way by several things about this home: Perfect location for proximity to the beach - seriously it doesn't get better Jasmina and Ivonne are such kind, sweet, helpful humans. They helped us feel comfortable and cared for! Make sure you ask for their help! The pool was perfection. Felt amazing and was great in the afternoons and evenings. Outdoor living including walkability to several shops and restaurants - outdoor activities like fishing, boating, and beach. Also great outdoor furniture. We loved it here and will be rebooking this location.

This was our first time to Costa Rica and the trip was absolutely amazing!!! Enis the property manger was so friendly and helpful. The place was very clean thanks to Jasmina. There was an offer for a chef so we decided to have Chef Ivonne cook for us through out the week and she was amazing as well! The only problem we had was the master AC was out and they did all the could to get fix but having been weekend it was unable to get the part sooner. Overall they went out of their way to get and we got it fixed few days later. We rented golf carts for a week which was great. We also went through the Adventours CR and Goose the person for adventours was fabulous!! The house was right by the beach so you could walk there and enjoy with the pool as well!! All was amazing and I would recommend!!! I can’t wait to come back again

From the chef who cooked us 3 meals a day and went shopping with us to make sure we had everything we needed to the cleaning staff who seemed to constantly be cleaning something the place was amazing. Definitely will stay there again when we come back to Costa Rica. The beach was great, fishing and snorkel trips were so much fun.

Beautiful views and we loved hearing the ocean waves that were right out the front door. The split level living worked perfect for our extended family. We cannot say enough about how wonderful both Yvonne and Jasmina were and how they treated our family.

Perfect!! The location is amazing. The beach is right out the door. A great restaurant is right next door (and others are close by). Yvonne is wonderful! The house itself was great. Very comfortable beds, great A/C and water pressure. I cannot think of any negatives. If you are planning a trip to Playa Flamingo, you will not find a better place to stay.

What can I say. We spent a week at Playa Flamingo and it was more than we hoped for! We came with 6 kids under 8 years old and 4 adults. Lydia’s place was absolutely perfect for our crew. ON the beach made it easy to take the kiddos without having to pack up a car, food, etc. we could literally walk out the door to the sand. The private pool was perfect for us to split up the beach time and use when the water was high tide or swell was too big. We also utilized Yvonne for breakfast/lunches daily and her service was to die for- not just food but the way she loved on our kiddos also! Jasmina cleaned around our crew (not an easy feat) and was equally loving to our babies. Enis checked us in a mitigated a short water issue on day 3 which we appreciated so much! Overall, 12/10 for this vacation!

We had a wonderful family stay at Lydia’s home. It was the perfect location to allow our family members to enjoy the pool, beach, town, and allow for spaces in our togetherness The beautiful meals provided by Ivonne and attentive care from Jasmine will be what really made this trip the most memorable and completely carefree. Our time at this idyllic spot in Flamingo has been everyone’s favourite family holiday. Many thanks for providing such wonderful hospitality.

I will start this review by saying on our last day I called Lydia to book the house for next year. When we arrived we were a bit underwhelmed by the house. It was smaller than we had thought, the downstairs area is separate from the upstairs area (with an outside staircase), the common rooms were small, and the street between the house and the beach across the street was busy and sometimes chaotic. And then we relaxed!! The house inside and out was perfect because we were rarely inside. We spent our time on the BEAUTIFUL beach, in the pool, or on the upstairs porch which is huge and overlooks the ocean. The street and beach scene was fun and vibrant. The house is kept impeccably clean by the wonderful JAZMINA and IVONNE, the chef, cooks AMAZING fresh food. She has a kitchen outside and appears at mealtime with culinary masterpieces. We were traveling with my 88 yr old dad who loved walking to and from the beach and spending hours in the ocean. We will return!

We could not have picked a more perfect place to stay. To begin with, Lydia recommended a transfer to get us to the place which really helped to Lilit the chaos of finding a ride. Enis, the property manager, met us upon arrival and gave us all the pertinent information. She was also very responsive the entire time. Yvonne, the chef, is a magician, and is truly one of the kindest people I have ever met. Yasmin, the housekeeper is kind and does a beautiful job. We had some issues with a power and internet outage beyond the control of the property owners (downed tree up the road), but Enis was on it immediately. I would recommend this place to anyone!!

We had a dream vacation at Playa Flamingo!! The house was wonderful, clean, relaxing, and perfect. We took our kids and their spouses with us. We all had fun on the pristine beach and the warm water of the ocean. Ivonne, our chef, was the best. Her food is amazing!!! She can make literally anything. She is so nice and makes sure that you don’t do anything but relax. Jasmina, the housekeeper, is wonderful and is always doing something to clean and keep the house in emaculate condition!! She also worked so very hard to make sure everything was always clean and in order. Enis is a very attentive property manager. She meet us there when we arrived and was always available if we had a question!! I sure hope that we can go back sometime!!!!!

The location of this house couldn’t have been better, with the house overlooking a wonderfully beautiful beach and plenty of space for everyone. We couldn’t have asked for better. Our house keeper, Yasmin was amazing, she worked all day making sure everything was clean and in order. We did have some issues with the Wi-Fi and water supply, no fault of the owner and Lydia did a great job at resolving the issues, and making sure we had a great stay. We would definitely come back to this beautiful house!

This was an amazing experience! The location was outstanding right across a beautiful Flamingo beach, the big balcony with plenty of space where every evening we enjoyed sunsets. The pool was also spacious, kids loved playing in it. The house was beautiful and very clean thanks to Jasmine who cleaned it every day. Special thank you to our chef Evonne, she prepared a delicious meals for us almost every day. She and Jasmine made this vacation especially joyful for us. Lydia was a great host, she always responded quickly to all of my questions. I would and did recommend this place to my friends and family.

What a memorable and unforgettable time….One of our best Airbnb stays ever! We agreed with all the previous reviews…great location on beautiful Flamingo Beach, fabulous pool, stunning balcony which served as our meeting place for coffee, meals, cocktails and watching the sunset. The layout of the house with its two separate floors was perfect for us because it gave my daughter and her family a private space downstairs while my husband and I enjoyed the upstairs. But what we will remember most and cherish about our stay here were having Yvonne and Jasmine. They are such hardworking and lovely women who were a joy to be around. Yvonne’s cooking was outstanding and she was so helpful and accommodating with our meal planning. We ate at a restaurant only once while there and couldn’t wait to get back to Yvonne’s cooking. Jasmine kept the house spotless and was very careful not to intrude on our privacy. The property manager, Enis, is wonderful as well and very responsive.

We had a wonderful stay at the beach house (Casa Playa) in playa flamingo. The house, the pool, the lovely terrace, and the fact that it is right across the street from the beach all made our stay amazing. Even more amazing was Ivonne, the chef we hired for our stay. As we travelled with five teenagers, this truly made it a vacation for us as parents. Her food was amazing, delicious, varied, and made with love. She paid particular attention to the many food allergies in the family, and was a big hit with everyone. Kudos also to Yazmina for her kind heart and hard work. She felt less like a cleaning lady, and more like part of the family. Evidently, speaking Spanish helps! Our singular misgiving is that the house is spread across two floors that only connect through the outside and are therefore entirely separate & distinct living spaces. That was not clear in the listing. This made it a little bit harder to keep the family connected. But, turning off the Wi-Fi fixed that! And the outdoor terrace provided a nice place for the family to gather. Because our children are older, this was in no way a dealbreaker. But it may pose a problem for younger families. That said, we would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The house is very clean, the location is exceptional, and overall is a must if you are interested in this part of Costa Rica. Most importantly, Yvonne and Yasmina, who cooked and cleaned the house, made the trip exceptional. I cannot recommend the food of Yvonne enough and they both were a joy to be around.

Our stay was as perfect as it gets… We were comfortable in the home… and the pool and beach accommodations were excellent and convenient for the little ones as well as the big ones. Lydia was extremely quick to respond to all of my questions and help deal with minor solutions. I was not planning to hire Ivonne every day for all our meals but because of her excellent cooking and yummy and healthy authentic to CR foods we had most of our meals with Chef Ivonne…and the dining patio overlooking the beach was a fantastic view… Having Jasmina with us every day to provide us with a clean house/beds/towels was special… These ladies reflect nothing but caring and kindness in their hearts for us and our kids enjoyed interacting with them… they are special friends indeed! I love CR and I’ll book this house again when I come back!

We had the most amazing time! It was great being so close to the beach and Coco Loco! Our kids had an absolute blast at the pool and with Yasmina, the housekeeper, and Yvonne, the chef. These ladies really made the trip special. My kids couldn't wait to see them first thing every morning. They were both wonderful to my children and Yvonne's cooking was to die for- especially the beef tenderloin! YUMMMMMMM! We would definitely stay again. Thanks for a great experience! The kids are already asking to go back to Costa Rica. They miss Guani (the iguana that lives in the backyard :)) PURA VIDA!

Casa Blanca was fabulous. The location situated next to Coco Loco restaurant was perfect. I felt the tropical landscape in the backyard and the gorgeous beach in the front. The service including the Chef was divine. This location was peaceful and restorative. I highly recommend it!

definitely recommend this place! the staff was phenomenal! we planned to eat more meals out but Ivonne's cooking was excellent, cheap comparatively, and accommodating for our varied diet requirements so we took advantage of her services 3x/day. Lydia is the owner but Enis is the manager and she was super helpful and available. Jasmine the cleaner was there 6 days/week - all day, keeping up on the house and grounds. the location is excellent, a minor street between home and beach that doesn't impede views or access. great swimming beach for all ages and not touristy - amazing how empty the beach was and only about an hour from Liberia airport. spectacular sunsets nightly from the large balcony. lots of activity options in the area too. we'd surely recommend to friends.

We had a wonderful idyllic stay at The Beach House. It was clean and in a perfect location and the staff where wonderful help. We enjoyed the solitude behind the wall at the pool and loved the closeness to the beach. Yavonne was a wonderful addition to our time there! Besides being a great cook she was so friendly and created a connection point to the locals of the area and the culture of Costa Rica. She bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable and our meals fabulous. Definitely hire her if you plan to stay. The beds were comfortable and the housekeeper did a wonderful job keeping things clean and sanitized. We would definitely stay again. Lydia was a great help in answering all my questions prior to our stay. I would advise reserving a golf cart weeks in advance of your stay to tool around the area. They are popular and in high demand.

Fantastic house, in the absolute best location. Everything you need is within walking distance. The beach is beyond spectacular. Ivonne the chef is delightful and Yesinia the housekeeper is the best. In general, the people in the area are so warm and welcoming. Can't wait to go back.

What an amazing experience! The staff is what makes this house special. Ivonne’s cooking was outstanding and she was incredibly acommadating. Evelyn will truly make you feel like you're being pampered and taken care of. Jose will make you feel safe and secured.The location is second to none, between the pool, the beach and the views there’s nothing else you need. The people in Costa Rica are beyond friendly, all of our activities and excursions were easy to arrange and met all of our expectations. We were a party of nine mostly adults with a couple of teenagers. I speak Spanish fluently which was definitely helpful, however we found that most people spoke English. We arrived on Saturday and were greeted by Lydia a lovely lady who showed us around the property. Evelyn was there all week long taking care of us as well as the property. Everything from the laundry to removing crabs that ended up in the pool from the night before. On Sunday I sat down with Ivonne and we made the menu for the week. She cooked just about every meal we had and for that service we paid seperatly that includes the shopping but not the food cost. We stopped in on the way to the house at a super market and bought some alcohol, snacks, water and ice. Tip-buy lots and lots of ice the refrigerators at the house make very little ice and it’s very hot even in the green season. The water was good but we had a couple of people with sensitive stomachs so we purchased water. Tip-make a list before you head to the store on the way in, if you don't rent a car getting around is expensive. The house is well equipped but could use some repairs and some updaing. For example, the dinning table outside is a great spot to enjoy meals but only sits six. We definitely encountered some small issues but they were addressed immediately. Overall we had a wonderful time and would recommend this house it’s location and staff is priceless!!!! Thank you for sharing your home and giving us a truly memorable vacation!!!! The house is a lovely place, which has a lot of cleanliness and tidiness, as well as a spectacular location. Their equipment is very complete. The people who work there do it with great care to ensure the peace of mind of the guests.

Bertha's place is pure sunshine on a beach that has absolute sunshine in itself. A beautiful place with great pool ,fantastic chef ( food that you always dreamed of), house cleaning that is completely done without you knowing she is there. This place is a gem on the coast with beautiful sunsets, second story balcony with sun setting and having dinner with our group of ten friends is priceless. We used a golf cart and had no car and this worked out great as everything is in close proximity . Any tour will pick you up and this is great. A big thank you to Bertha for renting a house that is clean, relaxing,enjoyable , close and easy to beautiful beach , easy and quick to communicate with. Thanks!!!

What an amazing place! Rarely do pictures and expectations meet with reality. This magnificent home has an unmatched location and while our hopes were very high, everything about this trip exceeded our wants and needs. Having the pool was a very nice bonus. We used it every day. The sunsets were indescribable. Our chef, Yvonne, was superb. Her meals were exceptional, timely and well-conceived. The best. In fact, she was extraordinary. Evelyn was a wonderful addition and the house was always spotless. Evelyn was always quite diligent and friendly does not begin to describe her. Celia was also good but there was a bit of difference when Evelyn cleaned for us. Having Jose as our guard was a comforting touch. While we never really felt the need for additional security, it was great being able to sleep each night knowing that Jose was watching after us. We felt fortunate to be able to ask for our three beach bonfires and Jose is a master. Each of your staff became like family to us during our stay. A+. Could not have been better. We had only one unforeseeable issue with a clogged drain for an air conditioner which put some water on the floor in a downstairs bathroom. We called and it was addressed immediately. This place is lovely. It’s on a really nice beach that is tranquil, a nice mix of locals and tourists and a overall great pura vida vibe. The house staff- chef and housekeeper and security guard were genuinely lovely people and pleasant to be around. The also did an excellent job. We would go back to this place.

Great Location with amazing views. Coco Loco restaurant right next door which we loved. Bertha was great at helping us plan for our stay. My only advice is that if you don't speak Spanish it might be difficult communicating requests and food choices. I speak a little Spanish so we were able to manage. Also note that Good Friday and Saturday were extremely crowded on the beaches and difficult to get in and out of Playa Flamingo but the rest of the week was fantastic. I highly recommend Tico Adventures. Christian was able to help us with planning our tours as well as provide us with a driver when needed.

This was a fantastic stay! We loved the direct proximity to the beach - literally 10 steps across the very narrow road and you are standing on the sand. The sunset is amazing seen from the upstairs porch or down on the beach. The beach is lovely for walking and waves were good for some body surfing while we were there. We took Bertha's suggestion to use the cook, Yvonne, for the week and were so happy we did so! She made breakfast, lunch and dinner (menus planned and coordinated with us on the first day) Sunday through Friday for the very reasonable rate of $425 for the week. All delicious. Yvonne also helped us plan some fun outings. We loved the service provided by Erica and Jose with daily housekeeping/laundry, security, and helpful tips. We had been a bit concerned that the place is right next to the Coco Loco restaurant, but found that it was not a problem at all other than very briefly once or twice with some traffic in front. The upstairs master bedroom is spectacular, with the same view seen from the upstairs porch. The downstairs bedrooms are smaller and darker, but we found that we really spent all of our time outside on the porch or by the pool when not on the beach, so all we cared about was getting a good night's sleep, which we definitely did with the soothing sound of waves crashing in the background. Highly recommended!
