Mona’s place was absolutely beautiful - the pictures don’t do it enough justice! We had a group of 6 and there was more than enough space. The pool and outdoor kitchen was our favorite part - the pool was almost always in the sun (but there’s shaded seating if that’s not your thing). The walk to the beach is short and easy. There are 3 restaurants within walking distance and 10 or so more within a 10 minute drive. We took the boat across to Tamarindo one day and it was relatively easy. We would highly recommend Mona’s place to anyone looking for a relaxing beach vacation. The house and location were exactly what we were looking for!

Amazing house and location. Lots of wildlife around, only couple minute walk to the beach which was very quiet with fantastic surfing and walking. Kristi and Doug were very responsive with recommendations and help with a few minor issues beyond their control. Highly recommended

The house is absolutely lovely, very comfortable, the kitchen is large and spacious, and the common areas are very large and comfortable. It's very close to the beach, you can walk there. They come every morning to clean the leaves and the pool. My favorite part was the privacy.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The location couldn’t have been more perfect for access to the beach and the local restaurants made it very convenient to access delicious food! Kristi was always very responsive and was proactive about providing recommendations for us. The house itself had everything that we needed, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. I would highly recommend this house to anyone staying in the Playa Grande area!

Lovely house near Playa Grande! The house was beautiful, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the best parts was the location—just a short walk to Playa Grande, making beach days easy and relaxing. The area felt peaceful and safe, It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy Costa Rica.

A huge favorite for the whole family. Very comfortable for 9 people; everyone had their own space. We felt comfortable as soon as we arrived. The house is welcoming, clean, and has everything you need. Very well equipped, both inside and in the outdoor kitchen. We found everything we needed, even for a BBQ. The outdoor toilet and shower were spotless. Kristi and Doug were also amazing! They gave us tips and useful contacts for nearby, personalized activities. Without hesitation, we 100% recommend it!

The house was beautiful, so comfortable, and in a fantastic location. The recommendations were excellent and they were able to help us find some baby gear for our stay. We loved our time at this house! Also, highly recommend the tours with Daniel! He and his daughter were so kind and knowledgeable.

Great place in a beautiful community. We felt secure and safe, with everything just steps from the beach and nearby restaurants. It was perfect for kids and families, and we truly enjoyed our family vacation. Highly recommend!

Beautiful property so close to a world class beach!!

Beautiful, clean and nicely designed house and property in a private setting mins from a beautiful beach where you can walk for kms on flat sand and enjoy the most beautiful sunsets. Very efficient AC units throughout the two buildings. We stayed here for a week in November with our adult kids and spouses and it fit the bill, providing enough indoor space for everyone. Great indoor and outdoor cooking areas and nice size pool to relax in after excursion days that was cleaned daily. Playa Grande has a wonderful laid back vibe that we enjoyed but if you are looking for a busier town just walk down the beach a bit and a 2 min boat ride over to Tamarindo.

Beautiful villa 3 minutes' walk from the beautiful quiet beach of Playa Grande. Beautiful outdoor kitchen with BBQ, counter, refrigerator and fan. Beautiful indoor kitchen with large common area. The hostess Kristie is very friendly and recommended many interesting local activities: surfing lessons, boat trips for snorkeling, fishing and visiting the mangroves with crocodiles. I would highly recommend this villa.

Kristi (property manager) was super helpful and very responsive. We locked ourselves out of one of the rooms and they were there in 15 minutes. Also provided a lot of recommendations for things to do and places to eat. We were visited by a family of monkeys on our final day, almost like they were saying goodbye. Great vacation!

Beautiful home! Our vacation included myself and my husband, three adult children and their spouses, and my elderly mother. The house was perfect! Everyone had their own private space with plenty of space for us to hang out as a family. There is a book full of helpful information for the surrounding area. We felt very comfortable and safe. My mother felt very comfortable and safe when she stayed back at house while we out exploring. Check in was easy and the house is accurately described.

Great place to stay. Easy to walk to the beach and to restaurants. We meet family and friends there and it was amazing place to hangout. There were even monkeys in the tress in the yard.

We loved our time here! When we had questions, the house manager got right back to us. It is such a great location for walking to Playa Grande and a couple local restaurants. We especially enjoyed the pool and little touches like the book of local recs.

We loved this house and the neighborhood! We had 3 kids with us ages 3 and under, so having a pool right there was perfect! The beach is literally a couple minutes' walk, which the kids did no problem! Mona put me in touch with Kristi, her property manager. She was so helpful all week getting us connected with fun tours and activities that were kid friendly! The howler monkeys made an appearance in the trees right on the property, plus we heard them each morning! Very exciting for the kids and the adults! The house and property are beautiful and look exactly like the pictures. This was our first time to Costa Rica, and staying here made it extra special.

Our group of 7, two families, had the best stay here!!! The house has a modern, beachy feel and it was just a short walk from the beach and an awesome cafe called Cafe Mar Azul. We ate there everyday. We saw a family of howler monkeys swinging in the trees on our very last day! Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Great location! So close to everything. We felt like we never needed to get into the car for anything.

My family and I had such an amazing time at Mona’s place. The backyard pool was a great gathering place and we loved how close of a walk it was to the beautiful beach. We enjoyed early morning walks and taking in the sunsets. The home is in such a great spot and we loved how secure and safe we felt throughout our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot!

We had such a great time celebrating my husband’s 40th with a couple of other couples. The house had a great set up for privacy when traveling with others, very close walk to the beach. We saw a family of monkeys our first morning. The landscaping is beautiful, house was clean and well set up. Great restaurants near by. We all want to return soon!

Mona’s place was great. The location was amazing. It is in a great area with a few good restaurants and a small market. The house was a perfect size for our family. The beach was a 3 minute walk and was absolutely gorgeous. It was one of my favorite beaches in the area. Great for kids of all ages, boogie boarding and surfing.

Mona's Place was Gorgeous and so close to a beautiful beach (3 minute walk) We loved our time here to relax. We even saw family of monkeys swinging in tree above the pool and crabs and butterflies and tropical birds during our stay. Do bring insect repellent as lots of mosquitos in Costa Rica.

What a wonderful pocket of paradise Casa Tucan was for us! This house is in the intersection of a nature preserve and the beach, far away from the urban noise so please respect the preservation efforts of the community and of the country. We soaked in the sounds of howler monkeys, the gentle glow of stars at night, the gentle laps of the waves (literally less than 200 feet away), and the neverending visions of butterflies and parakeet flying overhead. Mona's property felt so much like a home! It features a kitchen layout bordered by a family-sized table seating eight comfortably. The layout was thoughtfully done to consider little things such as a littering of outlets in and around the property, all our devices did not run out of juice! While there will be electrical power interruptions, property managers Kristi and Doug are accessible through Whats App respond immediately!

This home was perfect for our group of 7. 2 minute walk to the beach, and multiple restaurants also all within 10 minute walk. Community felt very safe, and the locals were all so friendly. We loved the privacy of each bedroom everyone really has their own space to relax. The pool area is where we spent most of our time and the outdoor fridge and bathroom is a huge plus. We saw monkeys, so many birds, and crabs all from the backyard. A/C keep the house nice and cool. If you don't feel like renting a car it is really easy to setup shuttles, and the drivers are so accommodating. I recommend renting some bikes from a local shop to explore the neighborhood and ride on the beach. Overall it was a prefect place for a group vacation and the host was very responsive and accommodating.

We loved staying at Casa Tucan. Beautiful home and a great location. Kristi was great and super helpful. The location was amazing close to the beach. We will be back.

The property is spacious and accommodated our two families. It is a 2 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute walk to everything else in the community. Our kids loved the pool. There were monkey sightings every day! The rooftop balcony is great for wildlife viewing. Thanks, Mona.

Super nice place for groups. Easy to get to Tamarindo via boat if desired, but also great for chilling at home by the pool or on the beach. Highly recommend!
