Loved our stay in this treetop home! Beautiful views with plenty of cozy places to sit and enjoy this uniquely built home. Beds and pillows were comfy, towels provided were plenty, and the kitchen met all our needs. Also made use of the cooler provided for a beach day nearby.

Our stay was very fun! Bismark, the property manager, was super helpful and always around if we needed anything. Beautiful scenery. While we were hesitant about the no a/c, it proved to hardly be a problem as the home is very open allowing for wind to come through windows, etc.

Gorgeous views. Stunning sunsets. Macaws, toucans, squirrel monkeys, agouti, squirrels, butterflies, hummingbirds, saw a sloth when we walked to the beach. This was the perfect introduction to the beauty of Costa Rica. We loved our stay at Casa Neruda. Highly recommend.

I've never lived in a house with such a view… I simply loved lying in the hammock and enjoying 180 degrees of the Pacific coast. We were so well received by the caretaker and his wife, who also washed our clothes for a very small fee. Plenty of nice, large towels for both the beach and the bath... In addition, exceptionally good information about the house and the options in the area. THANKS for the experience!

If your looking for a private space with breathtaking views BOOK IT. We were hoping to see more wildlife, but we did go in rainy season and had a couple storms. Also, the hike up the stairs to get to the cabin is not for the weak lol thank goodness for the luggage lift. Everything was worth waking up to the views. Pura vida 🫶🏼

The view was priceless….waking up to this was a once in a lifetime experience! The house was super clean, the beds were very comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay immensely!

We immediately felt very welcome thanks to the warm reception from Bismark and his family. The house is cozy, comfortable, and the view is really breathtaking. We saw toucans and monkeys in the garden, which made the stay extra special. The location is quiet but still close to everything you need. Absolutely recommended. We would come back again in a flash.

Beautiful location and amazing views!

Amazing location. Very cute, charming house. Everything was clean and the host was friendly and welcoming. The views were beyond amazing with birds, monkeys and wildlife all around you. The house does get hot during the day (we stayed in late May) but did cool off enough to sleep comfortably at night. Location is great with short walks to several beaches and into town. Highly recommend!

Our stay at Casa Neruda was amazing! The posted pictures of the house were absolutely representative of what we experienced. The house is perched at tree-top level which not only has amazing views but gives you the sense that you're living in an outdoor zoo. The monkeys (daily alarm clock), toucans, macaws, iguanas (and Toby) all made a point to introduce themselves during our stay. Quite the experience. And the beaches and restaurants were all equidistant from the house and within walking distance. Super convenient. We couldn't have been more pleased with our choice to stay here and wouldn't look elsewhere if returning.

Wow! Just, wow!! Casa Neruda was my family's Costa Rican dream come true! From the moment you cross the threshold you are met with mild blowing, stunning views of the MA Nat'l Park and the Pacific. The close proximity to the park and town conveniences was fantastic, and the views from every window, balcony, walk and stairwell made wildlife viewing endlessly entertaining. For me, this house encompasses all the character, quirk and charm when I imagine a home in CR. The open beam ceilings, wood floors, and hand painted details everywhere was so unique and homey. Nothing cookie-cutter about it! Appreciated the recos for dining and souvenirs (shout out for Cafe Milagro coffee!), as well as great info on nearby beaches. Ty Victoria for allowing my family use of your incredibly special home. This was truly the house of our dreams and a vacation we will never, ever forget

Phenomenal views over Manuel Antonio National Park and the tranquil ocean. The capuchin monkeys, agoutis, tropical birds, squirrels… kept us company on the terrace. Had a fantastic stay here.

If you want to wake up to the most spectacular ocean view, feel like you are in a treehouse, and see National Geographic level wildlife right outside of your window, this is the perfect place for you! Just outside the window and in the neighborhood we saw: Scarlet Macaws, a sloth, howler monkeys, spider monkeys, white faced capuchins, a porcupine, and Toucan’s. The house itself is homey and charming. There are several patio’s to hang out on, each one with ocean views and being eye level with the treetops is exceptional for bird watching. There are a lot of steep stairs you will need to walk up from the parking lot to the house. Fortunately there is a lift for luggage so you don’t have to lug suitcases all the way up, but be prepared to walk (if you can do it, it is well worth it!) Casa Neruda exceeded our expectations and was the perfect way to end our trip to Costa Rica, we just wish we could have stayed longer!

Sunset on the rooftop balcony could not be beat! Best view around! Watch the sunset over cocktails then go out for dinner at one of the many local restaurants. The house should really be classified as a treehouse. Tons of birds and monkeys! Monkeys running and jumping off the roof into trees provided endless entertainment! No air conditioning, but with open windows and fans the house was tolerable in the heat of the day. There are the 100 steps to climb - so do not forget anything before you head down. There is a lift to bring luggage up and down. We loved our stay, highly recommend to others, and hope we get to stay here again!

What an amazing location! It’s certainly worth the steps! Victoria and Bismarck are great hosts. The views are astounding and the birding on the decks is better than the nearby parks. It’s certainly hot in Manuel Antonio but this location has lots of fans and a great breeze. Highly recommended!

Most beautiful house ever.. great views and most beautiful views. Will recommend this place to everyone traveling to Costa Rica. We end up extending our stay, didn’t want to leave.

A charming place with several balconies, great views with sunrise and sunset. The fans ensure good cooling even in heat. We had monkeys, macaws and other (beautiful) animal visits.

Victoria: Super responsive and easy to communicate with. She was always quick to help whenever we had questions. Bismark and Ada: They really made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Always welcoming, friendly, and genuinely kind people. You can tell they care a lot about what they do. The animals (Tobby the dog, Dominic, and the other cat): Such a nice bonus to the stay. Very friendly, well behaved, and fun to be around. We spent a lot of time with them and will definitely miss them.

4 days in this fabulous house, an amazing view and soothing place! Birds, butterflies, monkeys… you can stay on the quiet terrace and enjoy the landscape. The beach is just down the road, 5 minutes by car, beach with few people. Excellent stay

As everyone has commented, the pictures do not do this place justice. I will never forget watching fireworks go off at multiple beaches on New Years, walking to the beautiful local beaches (our 6 and 9 year old easily made the trek), or watching a family of monkeys coming down every morning outside. It is pure magic. In my planning, I had marked down a number of restaurants to eat at and enjoy the sunset; however, upon arriving, these plans quickly went out the window as one of the best views was from this place. Also, Bismark was wonderful at helping us get our bags from and to our car at the end. So incredibly grateful to have been able to stay at a place like this.

The views!!!! Stunning from both balconies. Bismark was so helpful at both check in and out. Very friendly and my boys fell in love with Toby, his dog, that would come visit us everyday. This house was so relaxing to stay at. It is in an amazing part of Manuel Antonio, where it feels so much less touristy. We loved the views! Almost anywhere in the house had gorgeous views of the ocean and coastline. We would absolutely return here again in the future! The host and on-site caretakers were fantastic. Thanks for offering such an amazing place to stay.

Absolutely beautiful, spectacular views and the home itself is amazing. We started planning a trip back as soon as we walked in the door!

We absolutely loved this villa. It has the warmth and character of a home someone built and decorated for themselves, not a generic rental. In early December, we never needed AC — the house stayed cool and fresh throughout the day and night. There are so many inviting spots to relax: a hammock, balconies, window seats. The views are stunning, and the beach is just a 13-minute walk away. Highly recommend!

This is a very special home in an amazing location. It’s so nice to have Bismarck and Ada nearby as they are very kind and helpful. We loved Emilio’s cafe and walks down to Biesanz and Playitas. We enjoyed everything about our stay.

We loved our stay at Casa Neruda! Our flight was delayed and we arrived after dark, but Victoria's directions led us true and Bismark and his wife were so welcoming, letting us into the house and moving our luggage up the hill via a clever elevator. As many people have remarked, the photos do not do the place justice - the views are amazing, and there are multiple balconies - plus windows everywhere. It is truly like being in a treehouse surrounded by beautiful gardens. We went to the national park nearby but saw almost as much wildlife from the house, including an entire family of capuchins that dropped by to sample the coconuts from a palm outside the kitchen balcony. We only had a couple of days and wished it had been longer. While there, we dined at Emilio's and got pastries, coffee, and take-out from Cafe Milagro, which Victoria had recommended - both excellent.

This stay exceeded our expectations! The house is absolutely beautiful and has so much character. The panoramic views are even better than the photos, and seem to be one of the highest views on the island. Would definitely book here again for our next trip!

This has been one of my favorite places so far. My best friend and I just loved it. The views are amazing, sometimes it was hard to leave the house because we just wanted to be there in the terrace looking the Bahia. Yes there is 100 steps to get there but is so worthy. The person in charged of supporting us with the checking was incredible nice and friendly. We really felt like home in this place. If I go back to Manuel Antonio this is the place that I will for sure stay. I fully recommend it. Just note that to get to the restaurant you might have to walk a little, but if you have a car you are good. We rented a car which made everything super nicer. Again this is the place you want to stay in Manuel Antonio ❤️

Gorgeous views and wildlife. Walkable to two beaches and to restaurants. Nights were fine without air conditioning. Google maps didn’t get the location right, but the check in instructions gave very clear directions. Would stay again.

Nicely finished home with amazing views. Morning coffee watching the squirrel monkeys play was amazing. Beach access is very close but a steep walk back up to the property. Workout was worth it for us, but rent a 4x4 if you’d rather drive down.

We enjoyed the beautiful view from the balconies during our brief stay. It was nice that we were able to sit outside, covered, during a rainstorm and remain dry.

Simply an absolute highlight of our year to stay at Victoria’s home. Breathtaking views, wildlife and walkable restaurants. This was our 4th visit and we love it more every time! Our two boys, now 14 and 12, wouldn’t think a trip to Costa Rica was complete without a stay at their favorite house. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great location. The view from both balconies is amazing. Interesting layout. Just be prepared for the stairs up to the house.. Bismarck, and his family, was very helpful. Lots of wildlife all around the house, especially in morning. Just a note, …, the house does not have AC, but is equipped with good fans in each room. Open the doors and windows and enjoy the breezes.

Outstanding views. We saw tucans and macaws from our deck, the ocean view is wonderful. We happily relaxed in the airbnb on downtime. No AC, but plenty of fans going and an ocean breeze. Be prepared for 100 steps up to the villa. There is a lift to pull up and down your luggage. The photos truly do not do it justice. The property caretakers are wonderful and helpful. There are a couple other villas near but it really feels very private. We had a great time and would definitely come back one day.

Of everywhere i've stayed in Costa Rica, Casa Neruda truly stands apart. It is the epitome of a tropical tree house escape with an exhilarating view that is uncanny in every way. An immaculately maintained property in the heart of Manuel Antonio - a jungle retreat with sweeping panoramic views of the ocean and canopy. The two sun decks afford an opportunity to experience captivating sunsets and "fly bys" from all manner of tropical birds. The property manager, Bismark, is a kind, welcoming, and cordial host who greets you with a smile and really solidifies that you are in a unique paradise. The steps to the property do require physical stamina, but you can certainly take your time and enjoy the ascent through lush vegetation and gardens. Casa Neruda is the only place I would ever want to stay in Manuel Antonio.

Excellent home to spend our vacation. We did not want to leave. The views are outstanding. The location is very central to restaurants, a beautiful beach, activities. Couldn’t be better.

The view from this house is exceptional and the tico couple who oversee the property are very friendly. My friend and I were able to walk down to the beach and up to the restaurants. I will definitely recommend this place to others.

An absolute gem! We loved every second.

We loved staying in Victoria’s very beautiful and stylish home. It was well equipped and just as she described it. The views from the two terraces were stunning and we were treated to a monkey show in the mango trees! The beds were very comfortable and there were lots of good quality towels to choose from. Bismark and his family were super friendly. My only minor complaint was that the light bulbs were very bright - would have preferred more mellow golden bulbs. But that’s all. We worked out - after logging our suitcases up the many flights of steps - that there is an ingenious pulley system to take them up and down. I think we must have missed that on the instructions as we only found out about it when we got to the top. Good exercise! The beaches around Casa Neruda are beautiful and the little cove - which you can walk to if you don’t have a car - was perfect for safe swimming. We didn’t eat out as we only stayed two nights so can’t vouch for the restaurants. We’’ll def be back!

Probably the best view in the town

Great place! No whining about the 100 steps going up there. It’s worth the spent energy. The view is spectacular and the place is very private. The luggage is vaulted up there by a vernicular type of elevator. The onsite caretakers Bismark and Alla were always there and very helpful. Bismark even went bushwacking thru the thorny underbrush looking for a garment that was taken by a monkey from the veranda. Never found it and now there’s a monkey somewhere wearing a woman’s nightgown! Beaches, restaurants and a super market are within one and two kilometers away. No need for a car. 2 queen beds, a main level day bed and a hammock provide good sleeping options. Great nearby places to eat: Emilio’s , Agua Azul and Cafe Milagro.

This place was beautiful! Views all around, and surprisingly a lot of wildlife. The on-property management was great and the host and Bismarck were so friendly. It is conveniently located to nearly everything. The directions were a little confusing but once you see the toucan mosaic - it's very easy to get in and out! I would recommend to anyone - it was our easily favorite stay!

Amazing stay!

This place is beautiful and has amazing views of the greenery below and sea beyond. Saw squirrel monkeys, macaws, and beautiful sunset. The walkable beach was very fun, with warm, calm water and more wildlife. Well stocked with towels and outdoor shower. Do note the climb back up from the beach and up the stairs to the place may be difficult, although there is an elevator for luggage.

This house was a highlight of our trip to Manuel Antonio! It probably has the best views in the area. Perched on a hill down a narrow road, it’s still easily accessible. Bismarck and his wife are wonderful people—they helped us carry our luggage up using a small elevator when we arrived. We all loved the patio and the breathtaking views. At night, we could hear lots of animals, and in the morning, we saw dozens of monkeys jumping through the trees! Victoria is an excellent host and provided clear instructions throughout our stay. One thing to note is that it’s more of an open-concept house. While the bedrooms technically have walls, they aren’t soundproof. The smaller bedroom is loft-style and opens to the kitchen downstairs. This wasn’t an issue for us, but it’s something to keep in mind. Also, there are no curtains or blackout drapes, so bring an eye mask if you’re light-sensitive!

Beautiful accommodation with the best views. Was perfect to spend time relaxing on one of the balconies, watching the wildlife. Daily visits from monkeys and agutis, countless birds including Scarlet Macaws flying over. Easy to follow instructions provided as well as local recommendations.

Only problem with location is climbing all the stairs it’s very hard for other people that are not young

Our stay at Casa Neruda was even better than we anticipated. The beauty of the home inside and out and the views were nearly unbeatable. We saw monkeys and macaws from the balcony, the ocean views were amazing, and the interior of the home was very comfortable. Victoria and the caretakers onsite were very responsive and friendly. My girlfriend and I went alone and it was absolutely worth the price.

Five stars just aren’t enough to describe how awesome this place is! The view is fantastic, we saw more wildlife from the porch than we saw our entire time here in Costa Rica. The house is lovely, comfortable, well furnished and included even towels for us to use at the beach. Bismarck and his wife were super friendly and helpful and were there for anything we needed. Can’t wait to stay here again and thank you!!

This place is even more beautiful in person. The views are amazing. There is no AC -I booked the place based on other reviews saying it was not an issue - however there were some nights that were so hot! There are plenty of fans though. Maybe we just got an extra hot and humid week. The directions were hard to follow. I’d suggest mapping Jungle vista hotel then look to your right for a tiny parking lot with a mosaic bird and a green hand rail going up the hill. The lift mentioned really isn’t visible. The beds were ok but the pillows were hard. Also the daybed downstairs squeaks and is very uncomfortable- all that being said I still give it a 5 star because it’s gorgeous and there’s tons of wildlife. They had plenty of towels and even a couple of yoga mats. There were not mosquitoe nets but Victoria did have the caretaker get a couple for us the next day.

Incredible views, beautiful old house with modern additions. Sat on the balcony or in the hammock and watched howler monkeys and flocks of macaws and the beautiful panoramic vista including Manuel Antonio park. House felt like something out of a movie. Note there are many stairs to climb to reach the house (we counted 100!) but it got our blood flowing and ready for the day. Groundskeeper was very attentive and friendly, and the kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. Would love to come back again.

We enjoyed our stay , it’s a great location and a n amazing view from the house. walkable distance to the beach and not far from Manuel Antonio park. It was a little hard to find but Victoria was responding timely to my messages.Definitely recommend

What a wonderful stay! The view was spectacular and Victoria’s place was absolutely worth staying at. Peaceful, restful and everything was provided for. Make sure you look for the Tucán when you arrive and Bizan will immediately make you feel at home. We would definitely stay here again and loved it!!! Pura Vida!

30 years aga, a trip to CR changed my life. Nestled in the lush greenery near Manuel Antonio was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and surrounded by the vibrant sights and sounds of the rainforest. The accommodation itself was a true haven, seamlessly blending modern comfort with the natural beauty of the surroundings. Our cozy yet spacious villa boasted breathtaking views of the jungle canopy and distant ocean, providing the perfect backdrop for relaxation and rejuvenation. The interior was thoughtfully designed, with rustic touches that complemented the tropical ambiance. The open-concept living area featured large windows that invited the outside in, the hammock allowed us to enjoy the fresh air (so don't worry about the lack of AC) The deck was the highlight. we spent many tranquil mornings sipping coffee, watching toucans and macaws fly by and then in the evenings watching the sunsets. Thank you so much!

Victoria’s house was the perfect vacation spot for my family of 4! It is open, yet cozy and comfortable. The house is perfectly positioned to watch the sunrise while laying in the master bed or from the upstairs balconies. The sunset is viewed from the balcony outside of the second bedroom. This also happened to be the best place to watch the monkeys climbing through the trees, as well as the beautiful toucans and macaws. Although the walk to both beaches is manageable, the nicest beach is the one down the gravel road to the left. There are also several restaurants within walking distance if you don’t feel like driving to dinner after a day of touring. Victoria quickly responds to questions and provided helpful local information and clear directions. Bismark, the care taker, is very nice and helpful. I could not imagine getting the luggage up to the house without him and the luggage lift.

View is just amazing..

We loved our stay at Victoria’s place. It is a true gem and we can’t wait to return. The stairs meant we had an incredible view from the patios. We saw amazing wildlife each morning and dusk, including two scarlet macaws putting on a show for us. We traveled with our two boys, ages 6 & 8 and it was the perfect place for our family to spend three nights enjoying the area.

Perfect view and great vibe! We saw so many animals and the monkeys coming on our deck was definitely the highlight! My kids LOVED this place! Great hosts! Would return for sure!

A beautiful apartment with stunning views. great amenities, though we didn't use the kitchen to cook, choosing to eat out at the restaurants up the hill. Bismark and his wife who live next door were extremely helpful caretakers, providing much needed help with ferrying luggage & a laundry service. We very much enjoyed our stay at Victoria's guest house. It was as described and a welcome break from hotels.

We loved this property. Beautiful views from all sorts of balconies and windows! It felt very private despite the other homes nearby. An excellent place to relax. There are a lot of steps but they lead to fantastic vistas. The secret beach was nice and we always found parking after 3:30. But the water this time of year was too warm for us. Our best experience was at Rainmaker Preserve, about 30 minutes by car. Great little hike, hanging bridges and gorgeous waterfalls with pools for swimming! We went twice and we highly recommend it! We actually saw more monkeys and birds around the house than at the national Park!

I will return without hesitation! The view was beautiful we hadn't planned enough time directly on site. Animals around the corner is an experience in itself! We didn't want to leave

The pictures truly do not do this place justice. You are nestled right up in the hills overlooking Manuel Antonio beach and the park, and the view never gets old. This was definitely our favorite Airbnb that we’ve ever stayed in. Our stay was made even better by the lovely Bismark and his wife Ada, who are so friendly and welcoming. Our favorite part of our stay was their dog Toby, who is so friendly and happy to hang out. Please be sure to spoil Toby with lots of belly rubs during your stay!

Great place to stay, with a stunning view! In summer period it can be hot because there is no airco (only fans) en no way to block the sun. If you are out all day no problem! The family Bismark (concierge) are great and very helpful and kind.
