Being here was full of beautiful moments and solace sitting outside, with the clouds and birds soaring above and below. Yami is a magnificent host while a Tucker is away, and a talented cook to boot. Also her friendly demeanor and way going presence was extremely appreciated! Tucker was great helping us find the house amidst a down pour snd dark the night of our arrival. I couldn’t hope for a better place to spend some time; we would have enjoyed a few more days. Due to travel issues with immense rains ahead of our stay, we were only treated to two nights there and hope to return one day. Go enjoy the hot tub beyond the bringing bridge one morning at or near sunup! .

We have travelled all over the world and have seen our share of unique and beautiful homes and Volare is at the top of our list. An architectural gem with the most extraordinary view, it really is like living above the clouds. Don’t miss staying here!

Our family had one of the most memorable stay at Tucker’s place. The view from the deck was unbelievable. The property is set on a very picturesque place. We saw lots of birds including Tucans from the deck! We also enjoyed the hot tub above the clouds. Tucker was always very responsive and helpful. Another absolutely great part of the stay was the caretaker Yami who went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. She kept our place clean, did our laundry and even helped mend one of our suitcases that had ripped! The only suggestion would be to upgrade the interior including the rooms, bathrooms, towels, etc. Also there is a restaurant close to the property which played very loud music on our first night which felt intrusive.

A absolute privilege to spend a few days here as a family. A gem of a house that felt immediately like a home. We loved the quirks and the passion for enjoyment. Top of our price range but to us it was worth every penny. Thank you Tucker.

Beautiful views from the deck! Saw toucans and many other birds on the property. Interior was very charming with lots of unique decor and touches. Kitchen and bathrooms stocked well with everything you’ll need. Felt safe and secure also.

Our four-night stay over the New Year’s Eve holiday at Volare was nothing short of magical! It was the perfect setting for our family to come together and celebrate the start of a new year. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how peaceful and beautiful the home was. The natural light pouring through the windows made the entire house feel warm and inviting, and we couldn’t get enough of the stunning views—especially the clouds and the birds that graced the sky each morning. Tucker was a fantastic host, always available and ready to help with anything we needed. It was clear that she cares deeply about the space and her guests. Yamilet, the property manager, was so friendly and helpful. Everything was spotless and felt like a true retreat. This was the perfect escape for our family to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the holiday. We can’t recommend it enough. Whether you’re looking to unwind or explore, this home is an absolute gem. We can’t wait to return!

We were very well looked after by Yamilet. She cooked wonderful meals for us. The setting is spectacular. The hot tub is very special.

A stunning airbnb with the most breathtaking views! Food prepared by Yamilet was a real highlight and it felt really homely. Yami was also happy to help us with laundry which was so appreciated after a long week of travel! The rooms are really spacious, well decorated and the beds super comfortable. This was by far, the best Airbnb I’ve stayed in. The photos simply do not do this place justice. The view is incredible, the property is spacious, there’s many great restraunts nearby, there’s a lot of fun adventure activities nearby as well, and the place is well kept and cleaned daily. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay, perched as we were on what felt like the top of the world. The bird activity was amazing, and we experienced some very exciting storms on a few evenings. We loved Yami--she is adorable, helpful, and discreet while freshening the spaces each day. Husband got to experience paragliding thanks to Tucker's recommendation. The home has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Having a car is a must.

I've traveled and stayed at lots of properties over the years, and this was by far the best experience that me and my family have had. Tucker helped with EVERY detail. From a driver to get us around Costa Rica all week to the warm and welcoming details at the home. Tucker has all the best contacts when it comes to scheduling excursions and site seeing around this beautiful area of the country. Carlos was our driver and he helped with everything, even down to going to the pharmacy for medication for my son's terrible sunburn. Yami was our cook and housekeeper, she was the most delightful woman! She cooked delicious meals for us at the house and helped me practice my Spanish. Overall, this home, the hosts, and Volare are an absolute treasure.

We stayed four nights. From San Jose airport, the drive was two hours through small towns, mountain roads, etc., but Google Maps took us right there. Cell signal was spotty, so download an offline map. The property was beautiful and as pictured/described. The property manager lived in an apartment on a first/basement level, though we only saw him once briefly. The owner and property manager were proactive with helpful information. The housekeeper only communicated through WA. The area was not touristy, which we had known/planned. Most locals did not speak English, and we were glad that we had basic fluency in Spanish. Turrialba was 20 minutes away and had what we needed such as restaurants, groceries, retail, etc. They all took Visa. We visited a few nearby waterfalls, walked around the town square area, and simply enjoyed the property's peace and quiet. Coffee plantation tours and rapids rafting were apparently nearby, too. In summary -- we plan to visit again someday :-)

Hello Mommas and families! We just had an epic vacation in Costa Rica and we were blown away by Tucker’s hospitality and assistance with planning! Yamilet is a local Costa Rican woman who cooks and manages the property and she was incredible! She was such an amazing babysitter to my two daughters when we went white water rafting and when we went on a horseback riding tour! Costa Rica is a jewel and the people, the scenery and the warmth we felt every day make it such a rich experience. Yamilet made us breakfast every morning as we took in the incredible vistas surrounding the property. We had the best time! I highly recommend Tucker’s place Volare!

Our time at Volare was relaxing, beautiful and welcoming. Tucker was a great host and went above and beyond in her communication from the time we booked with her. She was a great help in getting us set up for a couple fantastic excursions and was especially helpful and flexible when we ran into a payment issue. We were very happy to have Yamilet cook a delicious meal for us the night we arrived and she took great care of us.

We had a wonderful time at Casa Volare. The house is well equipped and super comfortable. You will find lots of activities nearby as well as restaurants and supermarkets. I highly recommend this vacation rental!

This was an absolutely exceptional find for us on our first visit to Turrialba as a family of 5 + my oldest daughter's friend. Tucker, Mau, and Yami made us feel welcome from months prior when we booked and Tucker provided recommendations for whitewater rafting, canyoning, horseback coffee tours and other local to dos. Mau, who was on site a couple times with us, gave me further info on hidden local waterfalls and more. And Yami, well, she's the highlight of the trip - her cooking was the best I've ever had (sorry mom), and her energy was unmatched. Hire her to cook if you're smart! Note, if you're not a native Spanish speaker you'll do alright in this part of CR, but I'd highly recommend getting on that Duolingo (or similar) a few months before to ease your travel and activities. Tour guides will speak English sometimes, but most of this part of CR is 95% Spanish (rightfully so!) Have been to other parts of CR before and stayed elsewhere, but nothing topped this. Thank you!!

This property is wonderful! Close to Turrialba, stores, restaurants, the coffee tour & the Pre-Columbian ruins! Loved watching the birds from the deck & watching the clouds roll in! Yami was a big help & so nice to converse with even though my Spanish is limited!

Our stay at Volare was outstanding, to include the exceptional view overlooking the valley and city of Turrialba from both the decks and elevated hot tub connected to the house via a walk bridge, the unique open air house design, and the superb daily visits by the homes care taker, Yami, to insure all of our needs and desires were attended to. The owner Tucker had prepared a very detailed instruction manual for all functions of the house along with many recommendations for sight seeing and restaurants. Although our stay included a daily dose of rain it did not dampen our spirits because of all the amenities we enjoyed. We look forward to our next visit at Volare.

Volare is stunning! and we spent 4 happy nights there. The house is exactly as described, the views breathtaking. We loved lighting the open fire in the evenings for when we got out of the hot tub. Yami the housekeeper cooked our breakfast daily and also two evening meals. Her food was sooo amazing!…the evening meals she cooked were among the best in our three weeks of travel in CR. I can also highly recommend the white water rafting experience recommended by Tucker. I was very apprehensive but loved every second and that was also a highlight of our trip. Do not hesitate to stay at this special property.

Volare is a beautiful home with breathtaking views. The host was hospitable, friendly and accommodating. The housekeeper, Yami was helpful and friendly. She kept the home clean and did our laundry daily. We felt safe and cared for during our 4 night stay. Our group of 2 couples highly recommend Volare. We will be back.

If you’re thinking about it, book this place. We booked for the weekend and were excited to be in the area but ended up never leaving the house - with no regrets!! All parts of the house are thoughtful and beautiful, we saw so many birds and enjoyed the huge deck so much! Better than the photos! I will return!

Absolutely beautiful!

Pictures do not do this place justice. Spectacular in every way. We had activities planned but I wished I could have just stayed put and enjoyed more of the scenic views, parrots flying by, and pure relaxation. Everything you would need was included. I judge places by "if I would stay there again", heck yes, would love to stay there again. Highly recommend.

If anyone is considering booking Volare, do not hesitate for 1 single moment. The views are stunning and the house itself is just about perfect. Our host had the best communication and there was practically a team of people to help make sure we enjoyed our stay. Tucker was even able to help arrange a guide to meet us at the airport and help us drive to the property since arrival time went from early afternoon to after midnight... We felt safe, secure and comfortably at home during the entire stay and the only thing I really felt was lacking was more time there. If I were ever to travel back to that part of costa rica I would not dare stay anywhere else.

We loved Tucker’s spot. Yami was so friendly and welcoming. She was very responsive and quick to help! She prepared a delicious dinner for us our last night that I only wish I could’ve eaten more of! Miles spoke English and was also helpful with great local recommendations. The space is comfortable with beautiful views and fun even when you’re engulfed in a cloud. We loved our stay and its proximity to so many attractions and adventures.

Wow, what a beautiful place! The accommodations far exceeded our expectations!! It was so relaxing in the morning to listen to the birds and watch the clouds shift over the valley. The waterfall on property was a short hike away and pretty. We LOVED this home and can’t wait to visit again sometime soon!

Would recommend! Host had a helper come do some basic clean up each day. Great views with lots of privacy. We loved the fact we could bring our dog with us. Hot tub was not that hot but very cool concept with the swinging bridge. Pro tip - close the blinds at night to keep bugs away from the lights inside!

We were planning a 50th surprise Birthday trip for my fiancee and this was the perfect place. Tucker is definitely a pro when it comes to organizing and planning an affair like this. Her recommendations were really great. I really recommend the rafting trip on the Pacuare that she helped us put together as well as the meals that were provided by her awesome housekeeper, Yami. She's really worth her weight in gold. Her food was amazing and she is a just lovely, helpful person to be around. The views from this place are ridiculous and the design of the architecture and landscaping let you fully experience these beautiful surroundings. Whether it's clear and sunny or shrouded in mysterious clouds, this place will have you feeling like you're on top of the world! Everything here is well thought out and provided for. Communication was always very prompt and included a lot of helpful details. If you are planning some quality time together with friends or family this is ThE PlAcE!

Tuckers house is AMAZING as you can see from the picture the house was custom designed to maximize the views on the mountainside, what you can't "see" is that the views are even better in person. This was the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica and I can only hope we will be lucky enough to return someday. Make sure to have Yamilet cook for you she an unbelievable cook and, being the best meal we had when in country, added to why this was the highlight of our trip. Tucker had lots of great ideas for us over our visit, we were lucky enough to also overlap with Mau who, when he is not running adventure trips, lives on the property. He was also a huge help and set up all our activities (Rafting, Waterfall Hikes, Volcano Visits) we enjoyed his company so much we asked him to join us for dinner which was truly our pleasure as he told us all about the real Costa Rica. If you are reading this review book Volare in haste before you miss out and someone else gets your dates.

Volare was my best exprience in airbnb. Amazing view ( you even don’t wanna go outside for having fun). The hot top was the best I have ever tried. Having breakfast in the terace is bery joyefull when you are above the clouds. There is very beautiful fireplace inside the living room which is astonishing. you can have your best sleep in the hanging beds😴. You can play very louad music and have a party without any concern😍🥳 There are lots of fun place close to the hous including hot spring, rafting, zipline, and descending waterfall in rappel

Volare epitomizes Costa Rica’s vibe of pura vida - living the pure life. From the moment we entered this villa of glass and steel, we were smitten by the grandeur of scenery that surrounded us with the lush foliage and the chirping birds that we’d never seen before. The piece de resistance of course was the tree top hot tub that soon became a family favorite and a nightly ritual. The multi talented Yami who kept the house in tip top shape and cooked the freshest and most flavorful dishes for us was definitely one of the highlights among many others like our guide Mau and our host Tucker who truly wanted us to have a memorable experience. Every creature comfort was taken care of right down to marshmallows and bamboo skewers. The hike down to the waterfall was also carefully orchestrated to make it kid safe. Yami would not let us say Adios - instead Asta luego and she’s right - we’ll definitely be back again.

We had a great couple of days at Volare, and wished that we had booked a longer stay. Tucker was an outstanding host --she responded very quickly to all questions and helped us plan our stay. The house itself is absolutely amazing. Clearly a lot of thought and expertise went into its design and construction. It's worth a visit just to relax in such a space (and I should note that I found myself wondering how they manage to keep all that glass so spotlessly clean!). We stayed only two nights (unfortunately), and on our first night we got takeout from Chani's, per Tucker's recommendation. Chani's was charming and the food was excellent. The highlight of our visit was shopping and cooking with Yami (this was arranged by Tucker after I spoke to her about our plans). Shopping with her was a wonderful experience and her cooking --wow, what a truly fabulous meal! Highly recommend a stay at Volare and if you do stay there, don't miss a chance at Yami's cooking.

Volare was absolutely breathtaking. The views were incredible. It was the perfect place to relax and explore. Tucker provided wonderful suggestions of excursions and restaurants. Yami was extremely friendly and helpful with the check in process. One item to note is that a lot of businesses in the area are closed on Sundays and Mondays. This was no problem for us, but just something to be aware of.

This is a special and unique Airbnb. The view is fantastic. The house is extremely comfortable and has everything you need to make it on your own or choose to have the house manager make meals for you, which I highly recommend. I have seen experiences to go have a meal at a Costa Rican home and this is exactly that in “your home”. The food is wonderful! She is an amazing person with the sweetest face and demeanor that you will ever encounter. The pre experience of booking and communication is very good and leaves nothing to question or worry about. I also highly recommend booking experiences such as rafting via Tucker. They have top notch connections to make your adventure safe, super fun and easy. My major regret. Not hanging around the house more so will look to have more down time at home vs running about all the time. I will be back!

Stay here!!! If you want an off the beaten path type of place, this is it. The views are amazing. We paid extra for Yami to cook for us and you do not want to miss this opportunity. My 8 & 10 year old loved helping her in the kitchen and learning from her. She doesn’t speak English and we don’t speak Spanish but there were tears when we left because of who Yami is and the warmth and love she puts into everything. We hired Tito to take us on a waterfall hike and he was so wonderful and patient with my kids. If you have kids, don’t miss Haras Turrailba, 4 min away from the house with farm animals, a restaurant, horse riding, etc. we spent hours there and the people were just as warm and friendly. YES the house is amazing, but the people make this experience worth every penny. All the love for this beautiful home and the wonderful people!

The house Volare leaves us speechless! An unbelievable experience! Watching the sunset from the bathtub outside, watching the various birds fly by from the hot tub outside. In the evening, eat Marshmellos by the fireplace. Yamilet is the best cook for dinner and breakfast! And she immediately removed big stains from my white shirt. THANK YOU! Mau was a huge help with any questions we had! to do in Volare: - Rafting on the Paquare River! - Day trip on the coffee farm in the village! - Restaurants: El Portis & Rio!! What an amazing experience. We didn’t want to leave this beautiful home. Tucker, Yami and Mau were all so incredibly helpful they made our stay so effortless. The food was delicious. This definitely isn’t a normal Airbnb, you have the luxury of having Yamilet cook for you as much as you’d like and even clean as well. It’s pretty much a hotel experience! You always have Mau who goes above and beyond at making sure you are taken care of and have everything you need to make your stay incredible. I personally saw this place and immediately thought, that’s where I want to marry my best friend. Tucker being the exceptional host she is, booked all of our excursions for us and even had a lawyer available at the property for us to make everything official. The excursions themselves were absolutely incredible, from canyoning to white water rafting. With that being said, the views from Tuckers house and how welcome we felt was the highlight of the trip! Can’t believe you’re still reading this review, you should have already hit the book now button!

Pretty interesting place to stay. Up at a pretty high elevation overlooking the mountain and town below. There is a nice upscale restaurant that we enjoy going to about 5 minutes away. It is called Celler Ladera. Another great restaurant just 5 minutes away is called Rancho Donde Chani. Has some nice wood grilled meat skewers. Overall we enjoyed the property and the mountain scenery.

This Airbnb was magical. The view from the house was to die for. Every time I looked out the windows I would lose my breath all over again. You just never get used to it. Book meals with Yami - literally every meal that you can. She’s an amazing cook, and just the sweetest person ever. We did the cheese farm tour for our 6 year old and she was able to experience everything! That whole family was just the best and seeing my daughter connect with them regardless of the language barrier filled my heart with so much love. They truly went out of their way and it was natural for them. The coffee plantation tour on horseback was another must. Not only was the entire plantation and surrounding plantation beautiful but you learn a lot about coffee and Costa Rica. You also take a short hike to the most amazing waterfall and end with a delicious lunch. The kindness of the Costa Rican people is apparent here too. And finally, Mau. The caretaker of the property. He is the best. Usually I would never book an Airbnb where I actually have to talk to someone, but I trusted the review of previous guest.. and I’m so glad I did. Of course it helps that he speaks English and can help translate or teach you Spanish. But he is such an interesting person and knows so much about Costa Rica that he can share. I had a hard time moving on to our next Airbnb without him and I would book any property or any excusión that he recommended. He truly wants you to enjoy your time and has the best interest of the guests at heart. Keep him as close to you as possible, he is invaluable. I could probably write a million more words describing how great our stay was but I’ll leave it at that. :)

Tucker’s “Sky Lodge” is an eagle’s vantage point on the town of Turrialba. Wonderful design, teak, big deck - the perfect place for a small group to retreat, share a fire, an amazing meal from Yamy, and dig into a good book. The constant shift of layering clouds is fascinating. sitting on a grassy lawn surrounded by Amaryllis flowers listening to a roiling stream is a bonus. Best birdwatching perch I have ever seen.

The house was spectacular with the most amazing views extremely down to the detail of the description is what was offered, Mauricio and Yamilet were absolutely amazing hosts! From the food that was prepared to the details of the different events planned out I couldn’t of done it without their help took my family last minute very short trip but definitely worth it and will be coming again.

Book Volare. It was such an amazing time for my children and the view is to die for. Staying at Volare is like you are staying at an old friends house and makes you feel like you are one of the locals in Costa Rica. Yami is a diamond and does so much to make your stay special! Make sure to request her to make dinner for you. It was so so delicious! Despite me only taking French and knowing hardly if any Spanish, Yami was so good at communicating! Definitely take the coffee tour Tucker recommends AND if you have small children or just want an authentic Costa Rican experience ask about visiting the farm! It’s yamis sisters farm and it was one of our highlights while in Costa Rica. Her family is so kind and welcoming and the kids were able to experience real farm life, including lassoing a calf! Lol. Anyways I have blabbered on enough. Definitely make this a destination in your trip. Completely worth it!

Feel like the Jetsons, living in the clouds, with circling birds below, parrots above, and the most incredible house with views from each room. Well stocked with appliances and a romantic fireplace that was fun both in doors and out. Hot Tub in the sky, accessed across a swinging bridge, provided comfort as we took in the panorama! This place is amazing..pics don't do it justice. I don't have the words to describe the view when clouds roll in...surreal fantastic experience!!! We only stayed 5 days..but wish we could stay for a month. Yamilet is a phenomenal chef!! House has everything you need. Please stay here!!

Tucker’s place is nothing short of amazing- probably the nicest Airbnb I have ever stayed at. The care and attention to detail is outstandingly and the views spectacular. Every space is well thought out and well constructed. We loved the house and the views. The only downside from my perspective (and depending on where you are from and what your expectations are, this may or may not matter for you) is the noise. The road down to Turrialba winds down the hill beneath the house and while it isn’t visible it is very steep. Trucks, buses and motorcycles roar up and down. There are also literally hundreds of dogs across the hillside that bark most of the night, ending just about the time the roosters start crowing. If you are sensitive to noise, bring earplugs for sleeping!

Tucker's airbnb was absolutely amazing. her team of Mau and Yami are second to none. The pictures don't do the place justice, it's that incredible. Definitely recommend staying here!

Beautiful home with an amazing view. It does look over a paradise like scene with tall mountains and a 270 degree view. House is spacious and great for a large family or or small group. Plenty of space to have your own area and great spots for gathering together. Yami and Sonia cooked an amazing dinner for us. It was so much food….. Check in and out was easy and we would stay again if In the area.

Volare was amazing! If you're looking for a true Costa Rica experience, this is your place. Mau was an awesome guide, taking us to places we would have never seen on our own. Yami was a delight and her dinner was amazing. Can't wait to come back!

If you're here to explore Costa Rica, do yourself a favor and try out Volare! We spent a few nights and places on/near the beach and this was such a nice and refreshing perspective. The view cannot be beat - watch clouds roll in and give way to a beautiful sunset and/or night sky. We had a toucan waiting for us when we took in our first peak off the patio. Tucker, Yamilet and Mau were so helpful with anything and everything we needed! Definitely get a dinner or two prepared by Yamilet and get Mau to show you around at nearby waterfalls and the greater Turrialba area. A wonderful overall stay!

You can stop looking elsewhere, this place is amazing!

Beautiful home with an equally beautiful view. Tucker and Mau were very accommodating and offered suggestions on how we can make the most of our stay. Mau took the time to review our itinerary and helped us with reserving various attractions and transportation for the remainder of our trip. We also highly recommend reserving the masseuse, Gisele. She provided a very relaxing massage and had a very friendly demeanor. In conclusion, we are definitely coming back to Volare on our next visit to Costa Rica. Pura vida!

Our stay was wonderful. The view from the house is beautiful and the home is clean and well taken care of. Yamilet made us a delicious meal and leftovers continued to feed us for breakfasts the next two days. Would highly recommend!

This trip started out like a bad dream. Multiple flight delays & cancellations, luggage lost for days, and an awful two hour+ immigration experience and yet… this was one of our best vacations. What sets this place apart isn’t just the beautiful house & outstanding views, it’s the people. I’m always skeptical about so many good reviews, but this place earns them plus some. Tucker was quick to answer any question, arrange activities, & even made herself available if we needed to vent when our flight issues went sideways. Yami is an amazing cook. We had her make breakfast & dinner multiple days. Even our picky eaters loved everything she made. Fresh-made juices & fruit were part of each meal. She was flexible when our plans or massages cut into meal time. If you’re one the fence just book out a dinner and see for yourself. She’s fantastic. We had massages multiple days and they were fabulous. Giselle is a beast! I’ve had a lot of massages, but these were the best. If there’s one person who is the true MVP of our vacation it’s Mau. He waited for hours and hours to meet us at the airport and then drive us back to Volare. He helped with the car rental, the luggage, everything. He took us to so many wonderful locals only kind of places for meals & sightseeing. When we ended up staying an extra day he got up at 3am to drive 90min each way to take our rental car back. We are seasoned and independent travelers. Rarely do we ever hire guides but I can’t say enough how Mau made all the difference. We loved meeting him and hanging out. He made our trip and became a new friend. We are already making plans to go back to Volare.

10/10 we would stay here again and I have already recommended the property to multiple friends. To start, Tucker was extremely communicative with quick responses and beyond helpful, more than any airbnb host I've ever had. Not only are you getting an amazing view but also someone who will help with everything you need. She helped us plan a waterfall excursion, rafting the Pacuare (must do!!!), meals, massages, and even more options if we only had the time. Once there, Mao was so friendly and helpful (and spoke good English) and made our excursions even more memorable with his vast knowledge and suggestions. He took pictures of our family during our waterfall hike, helped us pick out snacks from the local store and suggested stopping for some Turrialba cheese. Yami was very sweet and made delicious food... and coming home to made beds/a clean house/laundry is a rare experience in an airbnb. You will come across some insects like ants/flies/moths, but that is to be expected in a tropical county like Costa Rica and wouldn't impact my decision to stay here again in a heartbeat, just to make you aware (to be fair, we're from Colorado which has very few insects). But there are no mosquitos, at least that we noticed. I know this is a long review but do not pass up the chance to stay at this amazing location with these wonderful people. 🙂

Tucker’s home is absolutely breath taking. My family, myself, parents (69/65), husband (36), and children (4/2) stayed 3 nights in this beautiful house. Yami the housekeeper is incredibly kind and makes delicious meals. Mau, the grounds keeper, speaks fantastic English and is a great tour guide. He took us to the most amazing waterfall and ruins near by. He is very knowledgeable of the country and history. We felt very comfortable with him and would highly suggest having him take you on a couple tours during your stay. Tucker is very helpful and helped arrange massages, meals, activities and even covid tests. This place is a must stay if you want to escape into the clouds!

Our stay was tremendous. The Villa is even better in person than in the pictures (which is hard to imagine). You truly feel like you are living in the clouds. Tucker and her team are simply the best "group" of hosts we have ever encountered in stays with Airbnb or VRBO. Yamilet's cooking was delicious and Mau was there helping us every day. He joined us on our excursions every time out and was so informed about everything. It was like having our own guide throughout our entire stay! We are already planning our next stay at Volare (but longer this time) sometime next year.

There is so much I could say about this place! No matter how high your expectations are, this place will exceed them! Both the architecture and decor are amazing. You will be blown away! On top of how amazing the actual house is, the people here are fantastic. To start, before you even get there, Tucker is incredibly responsive and helpful. She helped plan and recommend activities and even helped us to plan parts of our trip before we got there, such as how to book the ferry. Yami is amazing, her cooking is delicious and she is an excellent Spanish teacher. Mau was super helpful and great to have around. The waterfall on the property was private and gorgeous with pools to swim in. The town and surrounding areas have so much to do and see and we wish we had stayed more nights to experience more of it. This is by far the best place I have ever stayed

We had a great stay at Tucker's beautiful home outside Turrialba. We had spent a week on the Caribbean coast and this was just the relaxation we needed before our return home. The house is very well appointed. It was very luxurious to have a few meals made and cleaned up by Mau and Yami. Yami also beautifully took care of our laundry. Luckily we mentioned our plans to visit Irazu Volcano to Mau because he let us know we need a reservation and that the road isn't easy there but worth it. (Pack a sweatshirt if you go!). Mostly we just relaxed and watched the birds. Three toucans hung out near the house during our stay which was quite remarkable. It was a treat to be above the clouds at Volare.

Where do I began? This pictures you see as cool and beautiful as they are don’t hold a candle to what you will visually see in person. INCREDIBLE! Everything about this home is breathtaking and yet you strangely feel at home with all the personal touches throughout this home. Yamilet made us breakfast and dinner and wheeeeew…. There are just not enough words in the universe to describe how delicious her meals are. Mau took us everywhere we wanted to go.. even places we didn’t know we wasted and he knew we would enjoy. You MUST plan on Mau being part of your planning. Driving there yourself will be challenging to say the least. I also am huge on spa’s and all the tranquility stuff. You def need to do the massage on the breathtaking deck. The local people are super friendly, but outside of Mau there was very little English. Not an issue at all, but definitely something you may want to plan for. Our experience was better than any 5 star hotel we stayed at. I highly recommend you JUMP at any opportunity you may have for a vacation an book this place. You will be the envy of everyone back home.❤️

I highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone!!! You will have the time of your life!! Some of the sweetest most genuine people I have ever met! I’d go back in a heartbeat! The house is beautiful, the view is breathe taking. It’s seriously everything you could ever ask for!!!

Volare is a beautiful place to stay and is one of a kind! This has quickly become one of my favorite places to stay and is well worth the ~2hr drive from San Jose! Tucker (the owner) has created not only a wonderful stay but an experience. Tucker can get you in touch with many different tour options and a cook, Yami, who was an angel! Highly recommend this place to everyone!

Such a a great stay! The house is beautiful and the views are amazing!! Tucker was a great host and yammi the housekeeper was super friendly and a great cook. A rental car would be a good idea to have while staying here to get around to all the great things near by. Make sure to get up early to catch the beautiful sunrise over the city. I’d recommend this place to anyone who wants a relaxing getaway or a great spot for your Costa Rican adventure!
