The house is beautiful and comfortable, with a well appointed kitchen and flexible shared areas. The bedrooms were comfortable and everything was clean. We enjoyed both pools, as it was really hot during our visit. The views and the wildlife were fantastic. Lorraine is helpful and responsive and an information folder really helped us plan our visit. Would definitely recommend and would be happy to come back.

Lorraine's house was amazing. I have rarely stayed in Airbnb's with the same cleaning standards as I have for my own house, but her house was SPOTLESS and so well taken care of. It was cozy and comfortable, had a beautiful view, gorgeous surroundings and was so well-stocked. It also had an incredible sun porch that we had our coffee on every morning. I still miss it! Lorraine met us at the house when we got there to show us everything and explain how everything worked, which was really great. She and her husband, Real, live on the property, which was also helpful. They were available if needed, but also gave us privacy. She had a book of recommendations in the house, and we used her recommendations to go ziplining one day. The private pool and patio were great, and we used them all 3 nights we were there. We also used the community pool a couple of afternoons, which had a fabulous view of the ocean and only 2 other people in it both times we were there. It was a great stay!

Our family had a fantastic time at Lorraine and Réal’s home. The location in a private, gated community was beautiful and convenient for visiting nearby beaches and restaurants in town. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the private pool (so nice at the end of a hot day), and while we were there, we saw monkeys, iguanas, geckos, and many birds. The house was thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We cooked one dinner on the Blackstone griddle on the patio and found all the kitchen equipment in fantastic shape. Non-stick pans were nonstick, and knives were sharp! Also, special recognition is required for the special deluxe toilet paper. ;) Lorraine and Réal were so friendly and helpful. We highly recommend their home for anyone looking to stay in the area.

Absolutely gorgeous home and surrounding neighborhood with lots of privacy around the home itself and we felt very safe with Lorraine and Real in the house right next door. The private pool was awesome and we also enjoyed the club pool. There were lots of things to do and Lorraine was very helpful getting us passes on short notice when we decided to try the animal sanctuary, the Thermal adventure, etc. We went deep sea fishing and the charter picked us up right at the beach 5 mins away! This home is very luxurious, drinkable water, bathrooms that worked well, an amazing terrace and great outdoor space too. I did a yoga class with Lorraine and it was a fabulous way to start a day ❤️

The house is beautiful, the pictures do not do justice to how wonderful it is. The house is clean, with a well equipped kitchen and the appliances work great. Everything you need is there and the pots and pans are in good condition. There are air conditioning units in all the bedrooms but not in the living room or dining room. There is really no need as there is plenty of air that comes through the big windows and doors. The outdoor space is wonderful, the private pool is great! There is also the club pool but we had no need to use it. Lorraine and Real are available if you need anything and they are super friendly. The best hosts! Thank you for letting us spend a few days in your gorgeous house. We had the best time!

We made 4 houses to visit Costa Rica and chose Lorraine and Réal's house as our top 1! Super private and incredible communal pool just for our 2 families, maybe because we're in low season. There are all the necessary comforts, the house is very well-equipped: kitchen, bathroom, laundry room… nothing to complain about. In the heart of nature, we were delighted to be immersed with the local wildlife. We were able to see capuchin monkeys and howler monkeys, a scorpion… thank you for this stay at yours, it was a joy!

We just spent 2 weeks. We were 5 adults and 2 children of 1 1/2 year and 3 years old. The house was very comfortable, clean, very well equipped with a nice refreshing pool, it felt like home. It is well located with many beaches nearby including Playa Panama, our favorite for children and which is only 5 minutes away from the house. Perfect for children because no current and few waves. Lorraine and Réal are available at all times, they respond very quickly. In short, a slice of heaven!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Encantada. It was private and peaceful. It is meticulously maintained and very clean. Lorraine and Real are helpful hosts, who have lived in Costa Rica a long time and have many great recommendations for the area. Highly recommended!

Lorraine and Real's home was beautiful. Four of us stayed and we were very comfortable, but it could have accommodated more easily. The terrace was so nice for coffee in the morning or drinks in the evening. Real took great care of the property, he maintained the pool daily. The neighborhood was very safe with guards at the gate (they were professional and kind). For me, what really made this place stand out was Lorraine and Real. They live next door and were so helpful with anything we needed and any questions we had. They are lovely people and made the stay extra special.

This is exactly how and AirBnB experience should be! If we could give 10 stars out of 5 we would! Every single detail was thought of. it was obvious this was a loved and cared for home rather than a priperty managed rental property. Lorraine and Réal are such warm and wonderful people! Definitely take Lorraine up on a yoga session. She is so gifted! and the surroundings were so beautiful. their activity recommendations were spot on. I know I am gushing but I can't help it! our group of 7 were thrilled!

If you're thinking about visiting the Guanacaste area, this is the place. The location was perfect, easy to navigate to and around the area. Lorraine was incredibly helpful with identifying activities, restaurants, and grocery stores. The property is gorgeous and peaceful and the wildlife was impressive - we heard howler monkeys every morning while drinking coffee and getting in a morning walk. I would come back again in a hot minute!

Lorraine was amazing. She was so helpful with identifying restaurants and booking those restaurants for us. She also helped us identify tours and also booked tours for us. She gave us advice on grocery stores, fun things to do, etc. Always available and incredibly helpful.

If you are looking at this listing, BOOK IT NOW! This house is the perfect location if you are looking into vacationing in the Guanacaste area. Close to so many beaches and adventure excursions. The house itself is beautiful and immaculate and you'll have access to your own private pool as well as a GORGEOUS community pool within the gated community. But what really set this location apart for us are the hosts. Lorraine and Real are the kindest Airbnb hosts we have ever dealt with. They are so welcoming and go out of their way to help you with anything you need, including offering to make reservations for you. This was one of the best trips my family and I have ever been on and Lorraine, Real, and their house were a part of making it so.

We had a very great time at Lorraine’s and Real’s place. The house was very clean when we arrived. Everything we needed and more was there. A big plus is the pool located just in front the outside dinning area where you can watch the kids playing while sitting outside in the shade. All their suggestions of activities and tours were of very high quality. Their hospitality was exceptional. Pura Vida!

I don’t think the photos do this home justice-it’s even more beautiful in person! One thing to note—there are a lot of stairs to get into the home, for those that might have a problem with mobility. It worked well for my group of girlfriends!

Lorraine has a superb place. Everything is as was published, especially the photographs. The water quality was very high, and even drinkable directly from the faucet. When we arrived, Lorraine was present to show us all the places of the house and gave us significant indications. Everything was clean and ordered. The signs she posted on the switches were very helpful too. If you are willing to rent this wonderful place, I would suggest the following: please be kind to Lorraine and Real (his husband) and keep everything in order, dishes washed and trash in the outside can. We always do that, but some people do not usually do their best to return the place in excellent shape. The place is too nice to return it dirty and messy. Please remember to shut off the air conditioners if you go outside! Thank you, Lorraine and Real, for such a lovely time in your villa. We hope to return one day in the future! A bientôt! Pura Vida!

Lorraine and Real were very friendly and responsive hosts. We had a maintenance issue, but it was addressed promptly. The whole family enjoyed the beautiful terrace where birds could be observed, the refreshing pool, a well equipped kitchen and privacy and comfort for all. Lorraine also assisted in booking a boat tour for the family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We absolutely loved our time in Costa Rica and this was the perfect home for our family during our trip. As mentioned by other reviewers, Lorraine and Real are incredible hosts and provided us with local recommendations that perfectly fit our needs. The house itself was extremely clean and well equipped with all the necessities. We saw monkeys, iguanas, parrots, and many other birds in our backyard and enjoyed both pools. There are also several beaches nearby that we enjoyed on our “rest” days. 10/10, highly recommend this place.

Lorraine and Real are perfect hosts. They are extremely friendly and helpful and they know much about the area. They welcomed us warmly with rides to and from the ‘club’ pool for our adult kids while we picked others up from the airport. Their property is gorgeous and perfectly maintained, and very homey and comfortable at the same time. The club pool is amazing—beautiful views and very spacious. The house itself was sparkly clean and inviting to be in. Lorraine and Real live next door and make themselves very available and are also completely respectful of their renters’ privacy. We enjoyed talking with them multiple times and found them both interesting and aware. They speak 3 languages and are full of talents, knowledge and expertise in many aspects of life. I can’t say enough about what a perfect spot for 6 of us to have a family trip.

Lorraine and her husband are extremely friendly people, they were always aware of us and anything we might need. The house is in a safe residential area, surrounded by nature and five minutes from the beach. We loved the place and it will be a pleasure to be able to return.

Lorraine and Real, thank you for the use of your beautiful and secure home. The home, the exotic wildlife (particularly the sounds of the nearby Howler monkeys) and wonderful view of the Pacific was great. Being within a short drive of the Liberia airport was convenient. We enjoyed our day trip to the Palo Verde national park area and the boat ride on the Tempisque river. Also, the beach at Cabuyal was gorgeous, with sufficient shade and tables. To fellow travelers I would recommend going to Cabuyal beach on a weekday, because the weekend gets crowded. It is beautiful. Also, rent a 4-wheel drive SUV. I had no problem renting from Enterprise at the Liberia airport, everything was above board. Once you're off the paved roads and onto dirt, the bridges get washed out and the roads get deep ruts, you will need the ground clearance.

Lorraine and Reál’s home was just right for our spring break trip and the perfect home base for all of our adventures. We felt right at home, had all the kitchen necessities plus extra items that are thoughtful and useful. I loved sitting on the balcony every morning listening to the birds and sipping coffee. My son loved the pool. All of Lorraine’s suggested stops were perfect and we especially enjoyed the river boat trip and the large iguanas. We only wish we had more time!!

Our hosts were a great hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by our hosts with radiant smiles. They were available for the duration of our stay. We were treated to the delivery of organic bananas that grow on the grounds of the hosts. And what a gift of a yoga session offered by Lorraine. The places are pristine. Everything is functional, nothing is missing in the kitchen. The outdoor lounge (covered) is definitely the place where we spent the majority of our time. The view of the bay was fantastic. The rooms are spacious, the beds are very comfortable. Definitely a favorite place. A memorable stay. Thank you Lorraine and Réal, you made our stay a comfortable and full PURA VIDA. Lovely, immaculate home. Hosts were exceptional, offered great recommendations, were available anytime and gave us the magical space we needed to relax and enjoy family time. Loved the terrace for yoga and sipping coffee. Quiet, secure neighborhood. Didn’t use air conditioning most nights and were treated to howler monkeys (close enough to hear but distant enough not to be a nuisance). Access to the community pool was a fantastic perk — it was huge and usually completely empty. Amazing sunsets with a Pacific view. Highly recommend!

The hospitality and home of our hosts went far beyond our expectations. This enchanting site allows you to enjoy the dry jungle, its birds and monkeys, an impeccable pool to cool off, and a beautiful environment of neat plantations of all kinds, in complete safety and peace. The wide availability of Lorraine and her spouse, their knowledge and kindness make them exceptional hosts. They troubleshooted and guided us to very good resources more than once. We mostly ate at the house, and the kitchen is very well equipped. La Casita del Marisco restaurant in Playa Hermosa is very good. It is best to get to Panama Beach by car, and plan about a thousand colones to pay the people who monitor the car. We really enjoyed the hike to Rincon de la Vieja Park, the boat trip to the Rio Tempisque, the visit to the Centro Rescate Las Pumas refuge and Cabuyal beach.

The villa is very well maintained and it feels like home. During our stay, Lorraine and Réal were there for any questions we might have. The pool is maintained every morning. Our family vacation was perfect and we loved staying at Lorraine and Real’s beautiful home. The location was perfect for exploring Guanacaste and the tropical views can’t be beat. We enjoyed using the private pool and really appreciated the welcoming touches throughout the home - dishes, towels, toiletries, etc. Lorraine was available to answer any questions we had as well as to provide recommendations for restaurants, beaches, tours and more. Both she and her husband checked on us throughout our stay and made sure everything was perfect. We will definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough to visit Costa Rica in the future!

This is a Costarican dream house! Even in the rainy season, we had a great time there. Our children played in the small and big pool (5min walk) for hours. At night there were lights in the pool which is handy as it darkens every night at 6pm. Great sunset view on the ocean, clean and beautifully decorated rooms. The owners live next to the house and are very friendly and helpfull. The house was once there home and you feel that. Very clean fridge, also plenty of pool toys for the kids. If we ever decide to live in Costa Rica, this would be the house we would buy 😄

We had a great time staying at Lorraine’s. House has a great location very close from the Liberia airport, a few beaches and also close to supermarkets and restaurants. Our stay at Villa Escondida was extremely pleasant. We really enjoyed the new pool, the sunset views from the house, and being able to prepare BBQ in the afternoons. The house is fully equipped and we found everything clean, tidy and in good condition. Lorraine and Real are very attentive hosts, always with a short response time and willingness to help us. 100% recommended accommodation!

This is a lovely house and so well equipped! The hosts are extremely helpful and gave us so many ideas of what to do. A week was honestly not enough time. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool and doing many of the local excursions with our two young adult daughters. I highly recommend!

Excellent choice in every way. It was the first time with this app and we were delighted with the host, the place, its nearby beaches, the house and although the pool was a little far from the house, we had it to ourselves. Highly recommended

Lorraine’s house was a home away from home for us. Our group consisted of two families- four adults and four children (ages 4-8). We found the space to be perfect for us. There were several spaces to spread out. The outdoor porch was so relaxing in the evenings as the breeze came in from the hillside, and the sunsets were spectacular. The location of the house was also convenient. You have multiple beaches just a short drive away, the adventure park, volcán Rincon de la vieja, and several waterfalls. The pool is a short drive/walk. We visited the pool and were alone for most of the time - like a private pool! The sunsets and views are stunning. One morning we saw monkeys swinging from the trees in the backyard, and were awakened by the chatter of birds. Lorraine and Real are a wealth of information and can help you with recommendations- truly kind and generous. Communication was easy and fast. It’s a gated community. We felt very safe. House was clean, well appointed, and well stocked. We wanted for nothing during our stay, except maybe more time in Costa Rica!

Lorraine and Real have a beautiful home that is comfortable and is perfect for a place to get away. We half worked and half relaxed and we were able to accomplish both goals each day. Lorraine is a knowledgeable hostess, she gave us many options to consider when we asked for recommendations to a florist, a personal chef, a place to celebrate a special occasion and more. Lorraine’s house was in perfect order. She was there to greet us when we arrived. The pool available to those who stay in this house is beautiful and refreshing. We had access to it and it was a wonderful way to cool off after a long hot, sweaty day. Each bedroom was equipped with an air conditioner but in the master suite, I was able to cool down and sleep without the ac every night , using only the ceiling fan and an open door to a private deck that had a fantastic view of the ocean. We totally enjoyed our time at Real and Lorraine’s. I am Hoping to return any I will definitely book this house again if is open during that time.

Lorraine's place was great! This was my first time in Costa Rica and I went with a my children and her place was just what we needed for eight people. It was nice and spacious and very clean. Lorraine also helped us with things to do while on our vacation, which helped out tremendously. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Beautiful place! Nice and clean. The kitchen well furnished! The rooms were nice with the air conditioning units! And Real was such a helpful host! We ran into a couple bug issues and he was the brave soul that handled them haha! Would definitely stay here again. Also, GO TO THE POOL DURING THE DAY. My biggest regret was that we only went at night and you couldn’t see hardly anything!

The kitchen was well equipped, the bathrooms were spotless, the bedrooms, living spaces and outdoor balcony/deck were enormous and stylish. The location is within a short distance from many towns and beaches. And the pool! So lovely.

Excelent host and beatiful home

Lorraine's place was great! This was my first time in Costa Rica and I went with a group of friends and her place was just what we needed for five people. It was nice and spacious and very clean. Lorraine also helped us find a place to do our COVID tests for the flight back which helped out tremendously. She offered a lot of great tips on what to do and where to go locally. My only piece of advice, which I didn't know when I got there, is to make sure that either you have arranged a tour if you want to do things around the city as there are not cars easily to come pick you up. Or you should rent a car. Other than that, we walked to the beach which was about 35 minutes away (walking) (I didn't mind), but there was so many beautiful beaches around the area. I would definitely recommend staying here!

We were for new year at Villa Encantada and it's just great. The house is super comfortable, spacious, ventilated and equipped with everything! It is located in a very quiet residential complex. The pool is spectacular with a 5-star view Lorraine is always attentive to answering our doubts! He recommended us to go to Playa Cabuyal and it is a true paradise. Definitely an extraordinary holiday! We will be back!

Great home! Spacious and perfect for a large family. Very clean and true to the photos. Lorraine was available 24/7 to answer any question we may have. Super nice pool a 5 min walk away! We spotted monkeys during a short walk in the area! 10 min from a very beautiful and quiet beach and close to several activities! A great place to pick up and enjoy your vacation.

5 stars all the way! House, location, hosts, all fabulous. Clean as a whistle, everything we needed, Lorraine and Réal have mastered Airbnb hosting. Views are amazing from both sides of this very roomy and comfortable house. Pool was outstanding with more ocean/mountain views for days. 5 min drive to the beautiful Playa Panama, where Lorraine told us to walk down a little way to rocks and snorkel. We saw and swam feet from a sea turtle, puffer fish, stingray! Can’t say enough. Can’t wait to come back and share this amazing place with more family.

Beautifull house on top of a hill in a huge gated community. Houses have a lot of space around them. Great views. Lorainne and Real are originally from canada and live in a smaller house close by and are very attentive. The house is big with one large patio and a smaller one with a bbq. The house itself got everything you need. There are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and one of the 2 upstairs bedrooms has it’s own bathroom. There is a great big public swimming pool. During our stay we were the only ones using it so sort of a private pool. We had a great stay and next time we will take some yoga lessons.

We stayed in this beautiful home and enjoyed every minute. Real greeted us and was very responsive to any possible need. The suggestions for restaurants and beaches we terrific! We had 2 families, one on the main floor and one in the upstairs rooms. We loved everything! The community pool was beautiful and warm!

This home was so beautiful and exceeded our expectations! Lorraine left a book of detailed recommendations and she was available to answer any questions we had. We felt safe in the guarded neighborhood. The view from the house was amazing. There was AC in all bedrooms but not the main living space. We were able to keep it at a comfortable but warm temperature by keeping the curtains shut during the day when we were out and all the windows and doors open in the evening when it was cooling down. Two of the bedrooms and a bathroom are accessible through an exterior spiral staircase. We were provided with all the basic amenities plus a full kitchen, towels, beach towels, beach chairs and more! Tennis racquets were not available. The yoga class was excellent. The home was 10/15 min driving from playa hermosa which was nice and 1hr from Tamarindo. I would definitely recommend having a car if you are staying here. Thanks for a great experience!

Lorraine and Real's home is beautiful and in a beautiful location. You can immediately see how much care they take of their property. It's in a great spot for anyone who wants to explore Guanacaste. Beautiful vistas, an amazing infinity pool with a breathtaking view. They went above and beyond to help us enjoy our trip by providing a lot more than they needed to. They were super nice, and I wish my group and I hadn't been so shy so that we'd socialized with them more. A few of us did a complimentary yoga class with Lorraine and she was a great instructor for both the newbies and the more experienced one in our group. Honestly we have nothing but wonderful things to say.

Our stay went even better than we expected. The instructions to get to the house were accurate and easy to follow even though we didn't get the GPS. The cleanliness of the place and the availability of the hosts simply impeccable. Lorraine and Réal's tips and tricks are accurate and helpful, feel free to trust them. meticulously clean and well furnished/stocked! the downstairs was hot in the afternoon. thank goodness for ac in the bedrooms. loved the outside deck, yoga class and most stunning pool. snorkeling was good in a few areas. Lorraine was super helpful getting an appt. with the dr. for us.

Lorraine’s place was incredible. The house is extremely beautiful but and Lorraine was also a great host. The property is extremely well-kept, the instructions for check-in and directions were very clear, and the place is quiet and private. However, it is also very close to the beaches and a five minute walk to the most beautiful pool. The place has everything you need with the well equipped kitchen and extra towels for the beach or the pool. You can eat inside or outside and the balcony is a wonderful place to hang out and look at the wild birds flying around. A bonus was having a yoga class offered by Lorraine during our stay. We highly recommend the house and we hope you will be as happy as we were for our holiday in Costa Rica.

they were fantastic host who had no problem letting us into their local lives and telling us all the good stuff to do. they took care of us as though we were their own family. The house was in a super convenient location very close to the beaches without all the tourism. they have a very nice guard tower so you feel secure going in and out of your complex I never once questioned if my stuff would be safe when I left it I would highly recommend staying here to anybody who's going to Costa Rica and I'm pretty sure we have found some long-term family friends

We had a perfect family vacation in this lovely home in Playa Panama. Lorraine and Real are excellent hosts. The house is spacious, very clean and generously equipped with kitchen items, beach gear, extra towels, etc. We arrived late in the evening and they even offered to drive to the car rental office so we could follow them to the house. (We didn't take them up on their kind offer because their directions were very clear.) When we arrived Lorraine showed us around and had left coffee, bread and fruit for breakfast. Their recommendations for activities and restaurants were all great. We never would have found some of the remote beaches we visited without their advice. The shared pool is so lovely - it has a spectacular view of the bay was was never crowded. A lovely added bonus was a Lorraine coming over for a private yoga class one morning. She is an excellent yoga teacher - if she offers, do yourself a favor and accept. We are so happy to have met Lorraine and Real and look forward to returning.

A great host. I support the production team a lot with whom we work there in Costa Rica, very attentive and always answering our messages and questions. We even had extra support from her with something we needed production, a real hero Lorraine. Thank you for your support and great hospitality. Lorreine and Real are two very friendly hosts and committed to their guests. Playa's house is very well equipped and spacious, has a spectacular view of Culebra Bay and Panama Beach. The place is very quiet, surrounded by nature. You can see a lot of birds and hear the howler monkeys (congo monkeys) in the mornings and afternoons. The house is fully equipped, has large and comfortable rooms, as well as a large terrace to sit and enjoy the spectacular view. It has air conditioners and fans. The atmosphere is very quiet, ideal for rest and leisure. We really enjoyed our days at Lorreine and Real's house.

Lorraine and Real are wonderful hosts with a wonderful home. You can tell they care about your experience from to the love and care they put into their home. We will definitely stay here again in the future, the views are spectacular. The pool is heaven and the neighbors are really sweet as well.

Our family had a wonderful time at Lorraine and Real's home. It sits on a beautiful, tropical hill top overlooking the ocean and the Panama Beach bay. Lorraine and Real could not have been better hosts - they are extremely responsive, they have a lot of local knowledge to share, and they went out of there way to help us out when our rental car reservation fell through last minute. Further, Lorraine is a wonderful yoga teacher. Her class on the porch overlooking the water was very relaxing, and you couldn't ask for a better setting. The house is set apart from the town and the beach, but everything is easily accessible by car. Its ~10 minute drive to Playa Hermosa where most of restaurants and the better beaches are. We highly recommend this location for anyone who wants a quiet, tranquil, beautiful experience in Costa Rica.

I had a great stay with my family including the young children. The house is beautiful, clean and family friendly. Everything needed was nearby with the beaches and basic shops about 10 min by car and the pool 5 min walk.

Fantastic location close to relaxing, swimming friendly beaches. Easy to drive around to other, nearby spots. Top notch hosts!

The location is amazing!

Lorraine is an excellent host and is close by if you needed anything. The community infinity pool is great and has an amazing view. You'll want a car to get to the beach and around, but the gated community is walkable. If you're coming from a city, you'll love the quiet punctuated by the sound of nature. Namaste.

Excellent place, service and excellent location.

The house was nice and big, everything we needed was there, the pool is a 5 minutes walking and it has the most amazing view i have ever seen, totally worth it. Loraine and her husband were really nice and there house was just next to this place. I would come back for sure!!

Great Place to stay. Clean, comfortable. Friendly hosts. You do need a car to stay here as its too far to walk anywhere.

Awesome place to stay. Pool is great and only 20 minutes from all the clll nightlife.
