Tom and Holly were gracious hosts, providing little extras on our arrival and helpful information about local places and activities. Casa Zenn lived up to its name - truly a peaceful and beautiful location to unwind. The back veranda and pool area is lovely. Toucans and fiery aracaras visited every day and monkeys came by a couple of days. So many butterflies and flowers to also enjoy. it is a nature lovers paradise.

We stayed 5 nights, my wife and daughter and I loved the place, the owners were very willing and they took excellent care of us, the house is very comfortable, a perfect place to rest and enjoy nature... we will definitely return

We had such a wonderful and relaxing stay at Tom and Hollie's. Their property is a stunning, private escape with thoughtfully designed landscaping. Tom and Hollie were fantastic hosts, providing excellent information including guidance on where and when to look for different animals. We highly recommend taking the time to read the well-curated booklets they have prepared, as they are full of great information on the local plants and animals. Thank you for a perfect getaway!

If you are looking for nature in a barely experienced natural way without sacrificing the amenities of a comfortable house including pool, this is the place to be! It's even more beautiful than in the photos and descriptions! Anytime again, it wouldn't be so remote. But this is only possible with the location, nature and the animals.

CasaZenn is a gem! We were very glad to be up at CasaZenn rather than right on the beach in Zancudo. It was so peaceful to retreat to the beautiful gardens, pool, and view of the ocean after playing at the beach or exploring the area. Tom and Hollie were super responsive and helpful! We had a few hiccups during our stay, (like an unusually long power outage) and they did everything they could do make sure we had what we needed. They also connected us with horseback riding and snorkeling tours within hours of asking. Both of which were wonderful! We saw dolphins in the bay and rode horses through the forest, hilltops, and beach. The highlight of CasaZenn is the attraction of surrounding nature. The mornings are incredible. Birdsong, howler monkeys, capuchins, and BUTTERFLIES! I have never seen so many butterflies, it feels like you are in a sanctuary. We also saw toucans, green parrots, macaws, and a sloth. The poolside is lovely morning, afternoons, or under the stars. 🦋

Simply magical and beautiful. We loved our time at Casa Zenn and hope to come back someday. This place is just something very special. Super lovely hosts, great surroundings and a beautiful house with a stunning garden. Watching the toucans and monkeys in the morning with a coffee is just something special. Some days we just enjoyed the garden and pool. Absolute recommendation.

Our stay at Casa Zenn was absolutely exceptional! Every detail was perfect, and the garden is a true paradise. The relaxing spaces are fantastic, and it’s ideal for families with kids, everything is provided. We even saw toucans and monkeys in the garden! The hosts are incredibly kind and thoughtful, and having a Christmas tree for our celebration far from home was a beautiful touch. The decor is stunning, and we loved the eco-friendly products they make themselves. It was truly the best place we could imagine, and we hope to return one day. Thank you, it was amazing!

Casa Zenn is incredible! The house is wonderful, the garden and pool lovingly maintained and beautiful, and you are surrounded by amazing wildlife. The monkeys, scarlet macaws, tucans, and other tropical birds visit daily. A true delight for animal lovers. Tom and Hollie are fantastic hosts, and we recommended their meal plan. At first we were uncertain about not being right on the beach, but this place is an oasis and many beaches, each with their own charm, are a short drive away. Make sure to rent a 4 wheel drive car to navigate the area.

Our stay at Casa Zenn definitely delivered the Zenn. What a beautiful and peaceful retreat Tom & Hollie have created. They welcomed us and showed us around the property and offered very helpful insights. Their kindness included a nice welcome package that included homemade bagels with spreads, chocolate banana cake and coffee. All were delicious! The wildlife viewing around the house was awesome. We saw squirrel and white face capuchin monkeys, aracari’s and many other cool birds and some very interesting insects. We loved the Pavones and Zancudo areas and will definitely be making another trip down as we didn’t have near enough time to experience everything the area has to offer. If you’re planning a trip to this area of Costa Rica, I’d highly recommend soaking up the Zenn life at Casa Zenn.

Casa Zenn is a magical, beautiful, peaceful, quiet, private oasis in this busy world. We LOVED being there. It is a beautiful house, setting, gardens, pool. We had 2 wonderful, quiet weeks to just be alive with the birds, monkeys, cats, sloths (occasional sighting), geckos, butterflies and other lovely tropical beings. We had been concerned about the lack of air conditioning. We are from Virginia and love our A/C. However, with screen only large window, ocean breeze, and lots of fans, it was not a problem at all. Being open to the lovely environment was a very nice plus. Also, at least in February, the humidity was not so much. Tom and Hollie were amazingly responsive, helpful and friendly. They left a delicious gift basket and some appreciated drinks. They answered texts very promptly. Helped arrange fun activities. They are exemplary hosts. If you are looking for a place to escape and reconnect--Casa Zenn fully lives up to it's motto.

We loved Casa Zenn. We saw so much wildlife in the beautiful garden and the atmosphere is really relaxed. The communication with Tom & Hollie was really good!

This is a spectacularly beautiful and special home and location. You will be living in the jungle but in comfort. You'll see lots of wildlife and experience the beauty of unspoiled Costa Rica!

Just Wow! Casa Zenn is located on the top of a Mountain overlooking the Gulf. You could hear the waves crashing against the shore in the evening, it was absolutely breathtaking. The tiled pool and patios were where we spent most of our time. Their garden(s) were well maintained and extra care was made on upkeep and cleanliness. The master suite had an enormous shower with a bench and a King size bed. All the comforts of home, but in paradise. This was our first time using AirBNB and it was a great experience. I travel fairly frequently and normally use hotel accommodations, but after this experience I may just have to consider AirBNB as my first option. Thank you Tom and Hollie for a wonderful experience!

Privileged to have experienced such an amazing place. So many birds, monkeys and several visits from the sloths. I counted 27 different species of birds visiting one tree in the yard. Toucans are plentiful as are many different tanagers, trogons, hawks, and I could go on. The views are lovely and you can see and hear the surf from the beach nearby. The pool is amazing and we spent many hours swimming and sitting in the covered deck. Very private location. We thoroughly enjoyed every day.

My family and I had the best of time at CasaZenn. We stayed 2 weeks and while we were there, Tomas and Holly were always super fast to respond to any of our questions or needs and were super helpful. Always, full of advice about any extra activities you would like to do while in the area. The wildlife in the backyard was just out of this world, so amazing to witness and be part of .. waking up every morning with the sound of the jungle, toucans, monkeys and so on was just beautiful and forever in our hearts. We loved their pool and ping pong table, the girls really enjoyed it as well as their 2 friendly cats, it was really sweet to take care of them. The staff was super friendly and yet discreet. We would recommend their house. Pura Vida.

We just returned from two weeks in Costa Rica. A one-hour flight from San Jose and a one-hour drive over rugged roads took us to the remote area of Zancundo on the inland side of Osa Bay near the Panama border. We stayed at an Airbnb so magical I want everyone to know. Many homes keep the world out; Casa Zenn welcomes it in. The walls serve only to frame windows in every direction, letting in sea breeze and the sound of the surf. Everywhere we looked we saw lush greenery, flowers, butterflies and birds. Through screen windows that were forever open, there was no boundary to the sounds outside. Squawking parrots, howling monkeys, songbirds and the other worldly call of cicadas at dawn… in the constantly changing soundscape, we grew quiet within, humbled by the glorious diversity of life all around us. The yard offered a clear view of the surrounding canopy and the ocean below. We caught parrots preening, monkeys hurling themselves across open spaces, toucans strutting along branches. We spent our mornings quietly walking the long, rugged road that led up the hill to the casa, lingering with every encounter. On a nature tour, you get to see wildlife and that's wonderful. Casa Zenn offers the time and space for prolonged observation. I devoted entire afternoons to single species of butterflies. A tree frog sleeping in the shadows of the patio, hummingbirds flitting through hibiscus, the cultural norms of squirrel monkeys, the eating habits of white-faced capuchin, the untraceable flight pattern of blue morpho butterflies… all this is holy although I know no religion. Within the bigger world we could never make, as humans we are small. The nearby beaches are amongst the best you will ever encounter, yet they are blissfully quiet. You can walk for miles and miles on surf packed sand or float on the waves watching pelicans, frigate birds and terns overhead. Our hosts helped us arrange a night tour of the jungle… a glimpse into a world we'd otherwise never see with snakes, toads, beetles, spiders and cicada coming out of their shell. They introduced us to captain Pete who took us snorkeling over a coral reef filled with tropical fish and patiently sought out the company of the dolphins who cavorted around our boat and rocketed themselves into the air several feet above the surface of the water. Thank you Thomas and Hollie for sharing this special place, for being consistently thoughtful and helpful, and for being the warm hearted souls you are.

Tom and Hollie are lovely, very attentive and helpful. The house is a Paradise in the middle of the jungle and very close to the beach. We were surrounded by monkeys, toucans, hummingbirds, hummingbirds, and more. Hope to be back again!

Without doubt this was my favorite holiday of all time. We travelled from London with our 1 year old son to stay at Casa Zenn. The owners, Tom and Hollie had asked us before we arrive what kind of trip we wanted, they had organised some amazing trips for us as well as leaving us with plenty of time to relax and enjoy the wildlife in the garden! We saw monkeys, frogs, toucans, parrots and other amazing birds. The house itself has everything you could possibly need to have a wonderful stay. The beds are spacious and very comfortable. If it's really hot there are extra fans to keep you cool. I'll never forget being woken up by the sound of birds every morning. Another highlight of our stay at Casa Zenn was the food. Every meal that Hollie and Tom prepared was made fresh. It was healthy and so delicious. They use local ingredients and can cater for your every foodie wish! My favourite were the fish tacos - they went directly to the fisherman to buy the mackerel and whipped up an incredible feast for dinner. If you stay, make sure you sample lots of their cooking! On our son's first birthday, we were taken on a boat trip where we saw dolphins playing along side the boat. There were so many of them, it really was a trip of a lifetime! Casa Zenn is like a little taste of paradise and we couldn't recommend it highly enough!
