5BR Villa in Aqua Resort

Excellent, 2 weeks ago

Excellent house for a vacation, with the beach very close and accessible by car or on foot. The house is nice and cozy, the rooms are comfortable and well equipped, as is the kitchen. There is everything you need to cook, and even drinking water is included. The staff that welcomes you is very friendly, and Jeannie answered all my questions. I would definitely go back.

The place is great. I would highlight the view, the privacy and the surrounding nature. Due to its topography, it is dangerous for children under 5 years of age and also for the elderly. The central steps are sloped and do not have the same riser height, so an accident could occur. The electricity went out for the 3 days we were there, and they don't have a generator. Also, the internet is of average quality and it fails when there is no electricity, so you are cut off from communication.

The house and the view from the house and it’s surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful! Even more than what the pictures display. The property is located in Tola which is near Playa Gigante and about a 25 min drive from San Juan del Sur. It is a quiet area and not full of tourist and the beach is lovely and clean and nice. The walk to the private beach entrance at the resort is less than 10 minutes and the property and the resort property is amazing. The views from either of the rooms are amazing. You will hear the sound of the ocean waves crashing against the rocks and it is the most peaceful sound. Jeannie was very responsive. She provided great recommendations for a tour guide and transportation. I highly recommend Omar as a driver and he is also a tour guide. You will need transportation to go places off of the property grounds. The home was clean spacious open. Definitely a great stay.

I didn't like that people arrived and we hadn't even left the house. The power went out and the people who arrived entered at 10 am, but we were told that check-in would be at 2 pm, with check-out at 10 am. I thought the check-in was unfair. The power went out, which should not happen. Everywhere you have to leave the room. In this case, they told us that we could leave. Of course, they were annoyed because we were evicted, since the people who arrived were already using the house, before we had left.

Host Response

We're sorry that you did not understand that check in means arrival and check out means departure. On the airbnb website it is stated that departure (check-out) is before 10 am. We suggest to always reserve at least 2 nights to not be rushed. The other guests were told to leave until the afternoon. They did not do as we said. They did not have permission to arrive that early. Maybe we should have called the police to remove them. They were not good guests. You are Nicaragüense. So you are familiar with electrical outages. It was out for a couple of hours in the afternoon. Thankfully so you could stay cool in the pool. We have no control over the electrical company. Thank you for staying the one night.
