Excellent house for a vacation, with the beach very close and accessible by car or on foot. The house is nice and cozy, the rooms are comfortable and well equipped, as is the kitchen. There is everything you need to cook, and even drinking water is included. The staff that welcomes you is very friendly, and Jeannie answered all my questions. I would definitely go back.

The house and the view from the house and it’s surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful! Even more than what the pictures display. The property is located in Tola which is near Playa Gigante and about a 25 min drive from San Juan del Sur. It is a quiet area and not full of tourist and the beach is lovely and clean and nice. The walk to the private beach entrance at the resort is less than 10 minutes and the property and the resort property is amazing. The views from either of the rooms are amazing. You will hear the sound of the ocean waves crashing against the rocks and it is the most peaceful sound. Jeannie was very responsive. She provided great recommendations for a tour guide and transportation. I highly recommend Omar as a driver and he is also a tour guide. You will need transportation to go places off of the property grounds. The home was clean spacious open. Definitely a great stay.

Great house for large family or groups. Nice ocean view ( not of playa Redonda) but other bay next door. I love the restaurant in Aqua Resort its a huge plus!! Make sure generator is working because of random power outages !!

We had such a beautiful stay at Casa La Joya. Words cannot describe how beautiful the view is from every corner of the property. Jeannie was extremely helpful in helping us coordinate our stay and gave the great recommendation of working with Celina to cook our meals. We all highly recommend Celina’s cooking! The accommodations were comfortable and private. The pool was an excellent option to watch the sunset each evening. The walk down to the beach was accessible and the beach of La Redonda was an absolute jewel. Overall, we would return to this house and had a wonderful stay.

The place was comfortable, and the views were absolutely beautiful !!! Our guide was very helpful and always around in case we needed anything. I was surprised that for the price there wasn’t any coffee nor any other essentials and there weren’t any places nearby where we could get any supplies. Luckily, Francisco was able to buy some for us. The private beach for Aqua Wellness Resort is perfectly secluded and it has a restaurant that serves fresh seafood and other local dishes such as plantains with fried cheese and beans with pico de gallo that are super yummy!

The place is Just as in the photos, everything was clean and well organized. It is properly equipped with everything needed to spend a comfortable stay and feel at home. I must admit the view is breathtaking, very beautiful to appreciate the sunset. In addition, Francisco (the young man who takes care of us) treated us with a lot of kindness and professionalism. Definitely worth it to stay here.

Each time we visit it just gets better! Although we download our music playlist, with the new Wifi we have so much access from the entire home to listen to music and stream online. Exceptional service!

The beautiful landscape surrounding La Joya 11 made our stay a unique experience that we definitely recommend to anyone that wants to enjoy the Nicaraguan Pacific coast. No better place to enjoy the sunset than in the property’s Infiniti pool overlooking the Tola cliffs, sipping on your beverage of choice; the kitchen comes equipped with all the essentials and a wine cooler. The house has a rustic feel and we found it to be clean. The groundskeeper, Francisco, was very helpful and made daily house visits to make sure everything was in working order. We enjoyed our daily 10 minute trek to the beach - we recommend asking for tostones with queso frito (fried plantains topped with fried cheese) and the mixed ceviche at the beach bar. We are looking forward to visiting the property again in the near future.

WE FELL IN LOVE WITH THE HOUSE AND THE LOCATION, A VERY NICE PROPERTY, THE MANAGER WAS VERY KIND AND SUPPORTED US IN WHATEVER WAS NECESSARY, EVERY DAY THEY CAME TO CLEAN THE HOUSE, WE FEEL IN PARADISE. THANK YOU JEANNIE!

We absolutely loved the whole experience! This was by far the best hidden gem I’ve seen in Nicaragua with so much luxury. Along with having a beachfront view and with a pool it’s just 10/10! This house is a very special place. Perfect if you want to unplug and completely relax . We stayed as a family of 4 and loved the location and the stunning sunset views. Jeannie is a great host - very quick to respond and helped us with transport, organizing the cook for the week, dinner reservations and more. I highly recommend this place. The location next to Aqua Wellness Resort is good for beach access and a small restaurant/beach bar. We would love to go back! Thank you so much Jeannie for a wonderful holiday!

This place is a beauty for sure, highly recommended fir sure, outstanding space. Would definitely stay here again. 15 walk to a nice little private white sand beach. If you don’t have a car make sure you go with lots of groceries as it’s not possible to get anything nearby. By far the best place I’ve stayed

Excellent accommodation, impeccable in all the rooms to spend with family or friends

Very beautiful, spacious and comfortable home! The house was cleaned daily by the staff, who was very friendly and respectful. The view is amazing and beach is about a 15 min walk down. Aqua Resort is very nearby and you can use their stairs to get down to the beach.

We just returned home from a wonderful stay at Casa La Joya. We had 3 families, 6 adults and 6 kids. The accommodations were perfect. Every room had an awesome view of the water. Celina cooked us some fabulous meals while we were there and even went out of her way to make two cakes for my 6 year old niece's birthday. We went out to dinner one night at Rancho Santana (Jeannie's recommendation) and it was incredible. Jeannie arranged for a driver as it was about 20 minutes away. Beach is just a short 10 minute walk away from the house. It was really nice to have the services of Aqua Wellness, including cocktails & food at the beach. Jeannie was so responsive helping us with anything we needed leading up until the trip and while we were there. We were so sad to leave the house and the amazing view. Would definitely recommend!

The house is lovely. Our biggest decision was pool or beach. We only made it to the beach once because the setting was so great. The house has everything you need and is well cared for. Jeannie is fabulous! She is incredibly responsive and supportive. We opted for the chef. It was good though we would be more instructive next time versus just leaving it to her and we would choose to cook a bit on our own to change it up. One piece to note that opting for the chef for the week meant that she was there the whole time. The upside was her flexibility the downside was not having the house completely to ourselves. It’s just a trade off.

Jeannie's place is fantastic and we were lucky to be the only guests for 3 of our 4 nights there which meant having the house & pool all to ourselves. However, the last night there was a big family staying in the remaining rooms who utilised all spaces, so that one evening, we ended up chilling on some chairs in front of our room on the porch instead of watching the sunset from the pool area. The view is spectacular and the beach is reachable in 5-10 minutes and has a restaurant and beautiful beach with hammocks. You can also walk over to the Gigante beach in 25 min from here and reach a few more restaurants and also take surf lessons from there which I highly recommend! I would recommend to rent this space if you are a group as it's perfect to hang out and cook in!

Casa La Joya is a beautiful location to spend with friends and family. The view is amazing and the main room has a view to die for. Jeannine was very responsive to any inquiries, and also Francisco. The kitchen has everything you need to make delicious meals. We also felt safe and in a peaceful place. Highly recommended!

The house is very nice, an amazing and well equipped view. The only problem was that the air conditioning in the main room didn't work for us, and it doesn't have a beach nearby to bathe, but the rest is excellent, a nice place to spend a good weekend

Jeannie made all the arrangements from airport pick-up to chefs and housekeeping. It was seamless from arrival to departure. Our family vacation was so enjoyed as the large home provided private bedrooms not attached to main house. Hammocks and swing chairs made everyone curl up and read. The infinity pool was spectacular but the beach a short walk away was incredible. The view was breathtaking and we miss it so much. The chefs Cristina and Lily floated around our family and felt like family at the end. Such a treat to have meals made! A true holiday..

This is a spectacular home for a family or group of families looking to have a relaxing and scenic vacation. Our children, ages 10-16, all had a blast surfing the local waves in Gigante. The local beach is one of the best I have seen in the world and I have been all over the globe. It has a perfect amount of waves, beautiful cliffs, soft sand, lounge chairs, paddleboards, kayaks, and waiters who will bring you lunch and drinks. The house is spacious and the views epic. The staff is incredible and made our Thanksgiving holiday the best one we have had yet. Celina, the chef, even surprised us by cooking an American-style Thanksgiving, turkey and all. Her local specialties are divine and you are in good hands with her for your meals. I am back in Colorado and missing the warm sea breeze and ocean already.

Jeannie began making our travel experience fabulous months before we ever reached her gorgeous home by assisting us in planning everything down to the best zip lining location. Her staff became like an extension of our family during our stay, working tirelessly to make our journey incredible. The views, quality of the house and private beach (along with the people and amenities there made it so I shed more than a few tears when I had to leave :)

Casa La Joya was wonderful – we didn't want to leave. The bedrooms are simple but comfortable, with good air conditioning (a necessity since it was in the 90s when we were there). We did not spend much time in the common space (living room/kitchen/dining room) since it did not have air conditioning, but that was not much of a problem. At night, it was really wonderful to gather on the various decks/patios or hang out in the refreshing pool (which looks small in pictures but easily accommodated 12 people). As everyone else indicated, Celina is a must. The beach is well worth the 10-minute walk, since it has cabanas, reclining chairs, and restaurant service. When we were there, the foliage was not as lush as photos show, likely because we visited at the end of the dry season. It was still really beautiful, though, especially at sunset.

We had a great week at the house. Off the beaten path but with nice amenities close by for a group of friends. Rooms were spacious, views incredible and food wonderful. Would definitely love to come back

Casa La Joya was just divine. The property is beautiful from every angle, the rooms are clean, bright and airy. You can hear the waves crashing while you sleep. The master bedroom has a beautiful ocean view. The kitchen is well equipped and the living room and lounge areas are comfy and spacious. We spent most of our time in and around the pool and in the kitchen with the living room attached. There are 5 bedrooms. 2 bedrooms each have 2 comfy twin sized beds. The other three have 1 Queen sized bed, with a smaller floor/ pull-out bed. The Wi-Fi was in and out for most of the trip, but you can always head down to the beach for a better connection (less than 10 minutes away, walking). Jeannie was very helpful leading up to the trip. She provided us with many recommendations for services to take advantage of in the area and was truly a great resource over all. She was not in town while we were there, but her team did a wonderful job in taking care the of the property and assisting us when needed. Celina, the Chef at the property is VERY NECESSARY for your trip! We were there for a short stay, but after the first night of her cooking, we quickly decided to book her for dinner every night. We would have booked her for breakfast lunch and dinner if we were there during the day. If you stay here, ask for Celina's info and BOOK HER. That was the best food that we had in Nica, under one roof. Not to mention, Gigante/Redonda Bay is off the beaten path, the nearest grocery store is 45 minutes away. Take advantage of the best food in Nica from a professional Chef, and the convenience of not having to leave the premises for food.

This is an amazing place. The house is beautiful with an incredible view in the middle of paradise. Jeannie is a gracious host and has a wonderful staff. Our chef Celina was also wonderful. This is part of the Aqua Wellness Spa community which is also very cool. The beach gorgeous and very safe for swimming. The entire coast here is pristine and not yet spoiled by development. I hope it lasts that way a long time. There are plenty of howler monkeys to keep you company. The fishing is great as well. I'd love to go back.

My family and I (there were 10 adults and 3 children) spent 7 great days at Jeannie Hammond's amazing home on Redondo Bay in Nicaragua. The home and accommodations were nothing short of perfect. The view in the morning is a million dollar view of the ocean and hillsides surrounding the bay. Jeannie's staff were really great and we became friends with them all........Francisco is the grounds keeper and kept everything in working condition and helped us with everything we needed. Celina our chef kept us well fed and her food was delicious. Our housekeeper kept us in clean sheets & towels and was very sweet. Jeannie suggested that we use Omar as our driver while in Nicaragua and we used him the entire time we were there, Omar and his staff were very helpful and looked after us wherever they took us. Jeannie is amazing and her house is only surpassed by her assistance in making sure you have a wonderful experience while visiting her home. We are so grateful to Jeannie and her wonderful staff who have become family to us all. This was the most relaxing vacation we have had in years, the beaches are beautiful, the Nicaraguan people warm and all in all I would recommend this home to anyone wishing to have a great vacation.
