It's our second time and without a doubt we'll come back many more times! A spectacular place! Don Manuel was super attentive and ready to help upon our arrival and for any questions or concerns. Mr. José Mario and his wife took very good care of us throughout our stay. I highly recommend hiring their services. They cook super delicious food. We had a spectacular time!

It's a nice house, spacious and comfortable. It has direct access to the ocean and the estuary. They give you options for activities. It gives you the extra option of having cleaning and food service with José Mario and his wife, and it's an excellent service. Super cooking👌🏻

We had a great time. The views from the house were amazing, and we enjoyed just getting to the house by 4x4 along the beach. The food and service from José Mario were out of this world. Recommended!

Manuel’s home in Barra de Santiago is an oasis. Great stay for a group of friends or large family, great for kids. Jose Mario and Marta made our stay so much better. Highly recommend hiring them to cook and clean up. I’m still thinking about their perfectly seasoned shrimp and chicken on the grill!

Staying at Barra Paraíso – Manuel's House was pure magic! This charming spot is perfectly situated with the beach right in front and a tranquil estuary out back, offering the best of both worlds in a serene, private setting. Just steps from the door, the soft sandy beach invites morning swims, sunset walks, or lazy lounging with the soothing sound of waves. In the rear, the estuary provides calm waters for birdwatching, a peaceful paddle, or simply enjoying the mangroves and wildlife. The property feels secluded yet accessible to local gems for fresh seafood or coffee. The sunsets are breathtaking—vibrant oranges and pinks over the ocean, perfect from the beach or porch. Mornings bring gentle light across the estuary, with birdsong and fresh air starting the day joyfully. The house is cozy, clean, and well-equipped: a full kitchen for relaxed meals and plenty of outdoor seating for unwinding. The peaceful vibe—no crowds, just nature and tranquility—was exactly what we needed.

We’ve been living in El Salvador for 2 years and this is the first place we’ve gone back to twice. It is simply a beautiful, peaceful experience. Being nestled between the beach and the estuary is incredible. The housekeeper arranged a boat ride through the crocodile preserve, as well as getting and cooking us the best fish I’ve had in a long time. Amazing place.

A place that meets all expectations and more, quiet, comfortable and peaceful

Manuel's house is very nice, the place is extremely quiet, almost at the end of the Barra de Santiago, the final arrival at the house itself is an adventure since you leave the street and enter the beach looking to arrive, but with a good 4x4 you can do it. I highly recommend hiring the extra from José Mario's kitchen, who is an extraordinary chef, it is 100% worth it!! We will definitely be back as we loved everything!!

What a wonderful getaway! We had such a wonderful weekend with our friends and group of you guys kids. This airbnb is an absolute gem, the rooms are perfect for groups, the location between the beach and estuary is magical, the pool is divine, Manual and Jose Mario, the housekeeper, we’re both so helpful. One of the top airbnbs we’ve stayed at anywhere in the world.

Amazing house and stay. Beautiful location with beach right in front and estuary in back. Clear starry nights. We had Jose Mario cook for our group and felt like five star resort. Flavorful, fresh seafood. Not pictured in listing is a comfortable outdoor sitting area righr by pool with large table, sofas, and shade.

A small paradise in El Salvador, incredible views from the house, Manuel always showed interest in being attentive to our needs and accessible and willing to accommodate our reservation so that we had a good time and so it was! The house has everything you need, fully complete, without a doubt the best option in Barra de Santeago!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this property. The house is beautiful with all amenities nicely distributed. Jose Mario and his family prepared great meals for us. But the best part, was being able to enjoy both la playa and estero right at your doorsteps, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The views are amazing.

A really beautiful house, comfortable environments, beautiful views, quiet atmosphere, don Mario who takes care of the house was always accessible, helpful, friendly, friendly and super attentive. The house is very well cared for and clean, maybe the only thing to take into account is that the access is by the beach and must be done in 4x4 vehicle. We had an excellent time with the family and would be happy to return.

This was our second time staying at Manuel’s house and we had a fantastic time. The house is situated on a beach that is practically empty, and you can enjoy the beautiful beach and swimming pool all day long. Bring all the groceries you need (since there is not much nearby) except fish and seafood, which caretakers Jose Mario and Marta can arrange for you to buy fresh from local fishermen. Jose Mario and Marta are also very good cooks and will suggest delicious recipes and cook them for you. This is a perfect place for people who want to enjoy stunning nature in the privacy of their own space. Highly recommended!

Beautiful beach house. The pool, hammocks, and outdoor seating areas were perfect for our family. The caretakers Jose and his wife were lovely and prepared an incredible seafood dinner. 4x4 is required to access the house, but we were able to securely park one of our vehicles a few minutes away. Be sure to enjoy the sunsets and explore the estuary and mangroves by boat.

This place is wonderful. The nicest caretakers of a house anyone could ask for. It’s a getaway far from a lot of things but 100% worth the stay. A beautiful house, pool and private beach that is basically untouched by most. If you want to have a vacation in El Salvador, this place here is where you want to be. Muchas gracias Jose(the caretaker) his wife Marta and the dog they have pancho for making this a trip me and my family will never forget!

Barra Paraíso is a beautiful place in Paraíso a beautiful place With the foreigner on one side and the beach on the other, the house is super cute, cozy, designed to enjoy both landscapes to the fullest, Manuel is an excellent host, communicates quickly, Marta and José Mario are very friendly, they were always attentive to what we needed and José Mario cooks delicious! Words cannot describe the beauty of this place. This place is amazing and Mario and his family were very attentive to our needs and their cooking was amazing!!! Definitely worth it to have them cook for you. You need a 4x4 vehicle to access the property but you will be rewarded with a tropical paradise that feels like your own piece of heaven once you get there. My only complaint is that we didn't stay long enough to really enjoy everything this place has to offer. It felt like the beach was all ours. This will certainly be our "Go-To" spot every time we are back in El Salvador. We felt very safe and comfortable. Can't wait to return!!!

An Oasis in El Salvador. The house is very good, but Jose and Martha manage to bring the experience to the next level, their hospitality and level of detail make you feel in a place completely designed for you, one enjoys at all times. Don't forget to ask for the accompaniment of these two amazing hosts. We will definitely enjoy Chef José's recommendations and excellent service again. My family of nine spent three nights at Manuel’s beautiful property. We absolutely loved it!!! It reminded me of a luxury resort but with the comforts of home. The property is modern, well equipped, spacious and well taken care of. The caretaker Jose Mario and his wife were beyond helpful and attentive. We greatly enjoyed all the meals prepared by them. The bedrooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The outdoor space was our favorite place to hangout in. The pool had clean, clear water and was never cold. The beach is a three minute walk from the house. The waves weren’t too strong and we were able to swim there. We were also able to jet ski in the estuary. The wifi is fast and reliable, it worked well for family members who had to work virtually. It is recommended to have a 4x4 car. As you need to drive about 4 minutes on sand from the main road to the property. But if your car is not a 4x4 arrangements can be made with Manuel to store your car nearby. I highly recommend this property to all!

We definitely had a great time at this house. It’s a beautiful place located between the beach and the bay which provides the most amazing sunsets. The house is beautifully arranged and has so many places to hang out. We were amazed that even though we were by the bay there was absolutely no mosquitoes os any kind of bugs on the property. We will definitely return soon. Manuel is a great host which provided all the needed information and was available all the time. The only observation I can make is that you might need a 4X4 to access the house as there is no paved road to access it.

This was our second visit in a year to Manuel’s house and we were once again impressed and delighted with our time there. The house is gorgeous with every room with a view of the ocean and plenty of space for a group. The communication and care of the owner and caretakers are excellent and we always leave talking about when we can book the house next. One our favorite places in El Salvador!

La Barra de Santiago is excellent for spending holidays. The house had a beautiful pool and in addition, the abroad is a few meters away from the house. You can walk to it or take a boat. The house has a boat service that can be rented per day or per hour (reasonable price). Definitely a nice place to visit as a family.

My family of six had an unforgettably great time staying here with family friends. The house is perfect for relaxing, playing with the kids, and enjoying each other’s company. We don’t have enough good things to say about Jose and Martha, who help care for the house. You’d be a fool to not have Jose cook for you. Manuel is very easy to communicate with and is a very helpful host. Five stars all around.

This has to be by far the best place to enjoy a vacation with family in El Salvador . Manuel the host is very attentive and made the house the best getaway. The attention to details and the experience we had was beyond expected. Jose and his wife Martha(they take care of the house) live in a Separate home behind the house. They took such good care of my family and I. They are amazing cooks and such an amazing family. The SEAFOOD meals Jose and his wife cook are to die for. The community is very safe and the locals are extremely nice. Even though this is an Airbnb it felt more like a 5 start hotel all to our self. There was only one problem, we didn’t stay long enough :) Thank you Manuel! We will be visiting again!

This is a property we highly recommend, from the beach front property to all the amenities they have to offer. It's absolutely AMAZING, you won’t be disappointed. The owner Manuel was so accommodating in every way possible. We were offered the option of hiring Jose Mario and his wife Marta to cook all our meals, so glad we did. The food they prepared from our meal plan was AMAZING, the seafood from the locals is a MUST. During our first night stay we had a medical emergency in the middle of the night and Manuel and Jose Mario helped us with all the logistics surrounding where and how to get medical treatment ASAP. Jose went above and beyond to ensure we made it to the medical centre for immediate treatment. We can not say enough about these people and the property, they even reached out once we got back to Canada to see how we’re doing. We will definitely be booking another visit.

This beach house is the perfect getaway and a hidden gem. Not only is the house and grounds beautifully designed and built, the caretakers, Jose Mario and Marta are delightful (incredible cooks too!). Communications with the caretakers and owner were prompt and informative. As well, the beach and estuary access are perfect and the sunsets here are absolutely stunning. I highly recommend this house.

Manuel’s beach house is amazing…great place to have a family getaway. Great beach and estuary views. The entire house is very well equipped and clean. Jose Mario and Martha were very kind, helpful and great cooks!!! They made sure everything was set during our visit. If you are a seafood lover you can buy a variety of fresh seafood with local people around the area. Including lobsters, oysters, fish and shrimps. Highly recommend this little piece of paradise! But you can't ask, it was a magical experience and unparalleled👍

The place is exactly like the photos, incredibly beautiful, very large and with all the amenities to share as a family: Large Alberca, access to the beach and estuary and full kitchen and barbecue to cook what you need. It's super private, we had no hassle. But best of all, the attention was from José Mario and his wife, they helped us cook everything in our stay and they were to support what will be needed (some shrimp and a seafood of 10). We will definitely be back, really worth more than 2 days. Bringing 4x4 because the access to the ranch is on the beach (sand) about 2 minutes.

What a serene and stylish spot on Barra de Santiago! We were looking for a break from the city and it was great. The house is well laid out, stylish and clean. The bedrooms and the other areas are great. The shady spot on the stools outside the kitchen get a lovely breeze and are sometimes in the shade to enjoy a drink and a view. There are great breezes on different parts of the property. It's a bit off the beaten path as you need to drive about 1km on the beach to get to the house which was new adventure for me. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking items and Jose Mario made terrific seafood. We were so glad to be able to order and enjoy it daily. I would highly recommend taking advantage of this. Manuel provided helpful tips to make our stay more enjoyable.

Absolutely amazing. Beautiful, stunning home, amazing views of the bay and the ocean. But the best part was José Mario taking care of us and making the best seafood dinner I’ve ever had in my life. He took us on a boat ride of the estuary telling us about local legends of the area. We are already trying to book another stay and absolutely cannot wait to return.
