Charming accommodation in the middle of the treetops. The reception was on time, and communication with Guille was accurate and friendly. The place is very nice and close to the beach and downtown. We were delighted with the experience. We saw little animals from the hammock, and the Wi-Fi worked well for us since we work remotely. The bed and bathroom are very comfortable. You really feel the nature. The view is extraordinary 🙌🏼

My teenage kids and I had a great time surfing. We observed many butterflies, frogs and countless agoutis in the jungle-like garden. Both houses are super equipped. It was an unforgettable stay.

This is a gorgeous place. This air bnb is a work of art. High craftsmanship , beautiful design . That is also very comfortable and practical. The house allowed us to be with the jungle and to be comfortable surrounded by beauty. A great position in the jungle minutes from the sea, minutes from Porto Viejo and yet totally secluded and quiet. Communication was perfect. Thankyou Graziella and Guille for this gorgeous place.

Amazing surroundings and fantastic stay

The house is very large and beautifully decorated. On the huge terrace, you can relax, eat and cook. You are surrounded by rainforest (apart from the neighboring vacation home in sight) and can therefore observe many animals, especially agoutis, geckos and frogs. The bedroom with one large bed and two small beds and the bathroom are also very large. Despite the relatively secluded location, you can quickly reach the main street and the adjacent beach, and after a 3-minute drive, you can also get to the somewhat larger Puerto Viejo, where there are a few more restaurants and bars. There is also a restaurant/bar and a café a 5-minute walk away, right on the main road.

We really enjoyed our time at Cocles Beach Villa! Tons of great wildlife that you could see right from the villa like toucans, howlers, sloths and more. The 2 resident kitties are also a pleasure, great lil pals that guided us throughout the property. Very clean, great service from hosts, we will definitely book here again!

What a fantastic house. A beautiful open space with a view of the lovely garden, where toucans, hummingbirds, and many other species of birds and butterflies fly around. It’s also nice to see the agoutis roaming around every day. Despite being an open-plan space, the room was spotlessly clean. The enclosed bedroom and bathroom were also spotlessly clean. The owner texted us with loads of great tips about the area. Cocles Beach is a 5-minute walk along an unpaved road. Cocles itself has a nice atmosphere, and there are plenty of pleasant terraces and restaurants. For shopping, go to Puerto Viejo, which is 4 km (2.5 miles) away.

Beautiful wooden house at even more beautiful location. Many flowers and lovely trees in the garden. You can walk to the beach and restaurants whilst the house is an quiet spot. We saw many animals like toucans, gouthi’s and ara’s.

One of my favorite Airbnbs ever! The space feels private and tucked into the jungle, but is still an easy 5 minute walk to the beach. The wooden design gives it so much character, and the elevated outdoor living area, with a kitchen and plenty of seating, was perfect for relaxing & listening to the sounds of the jungle Punta Uva is a gem as well! It’s a beautiful beach that still feels a bit wild, with plenty of great spots to eat and things to do nearby 🌺🌊🪸

This place was the first on our Costa Rica tour, and it couldn’t have been a better start to our vacation. We spent many hours on the terrace observing the nature around us. The place was very clean, and the host was friendly and helpful. We can truly recommend the villa without reservation.

The place is beautiful, very well located, has a great property, with lots of plants. You can and will see a bunch of animals and insects, but at least there were hardly any mosquitoes around on our trip. The house is in the middle of dense vegetation, it is well equipped and if you like the beach and like to fall asleep with animal noises, you have found the perfect accommodation here. One last point, the host of this place is incredibly productive, easy to reach and really sends lots of suggestions and tips on what to do locally, the place is really great, highly recommended and we will be happy to come back.

We spent four wonderful days and nights at the Beach Villa. An unforgettable experience. It was overwhelming to listen to the many animals day and night. Restaurants and beach within walking distance and worth a visit day and night. The fact that the outdoor area is so large creates a special tropical lifestyle. Of the seven accommodations in Costa Rica, the Beach Villa in Cocles was the most beautiful. The only downside was that we had to leave again and couldn't take the villa home with us.

Lovely place with Caribbean dreamy atmosphere. Beach easily accessible, the villages too but the road to it is far enough away to not be bothered by it. Nice host with good tips for the area. Well equipped kitchen. Beautiful jungle garden.

This place was great. The veranda was our favorite where you had a chance to sit comfortable in the middle of the jungle. It was walking distance to Cocles and Puerto Viejo. The communication was also perfect.

A beautiful apartment with large veranda set in a tropical garden. There was no lack of air conditioning - it was very pleasant. The location was great - private but still close to the beach and restaurants. Thanks for the hospitality and the many tips!

We loved Cocles' house! It's beautiful, it's exactly as shown in the photos, super well-equipped, very comfortable and well located. The nearby beach is very nice, and it's easy to get to other beautiful ones on foot or by bike. Gaziela and Guillermo were very attentive, quickly resolved a problem with the internet due to the rain and gave us many recommendations. Very kind! And Salvadora, who receives the house, adapted to our schedules and made it very easy to check in and out. A single warning for those who are a little afraid of spiders, is that the first few days it was difficult for me to get used to the amount that is in the garden and the access street. It wasn't a problem at all in the house itself! The bedroom and bathroom have mosquito nets and the social area is great! It's very beautiful and enjoyable.

Staying at Cocles Beach Villa, was amazing. It is set in the most beautiful surroundings, being woken by the sounds of the jungle. Spending time relaxing and watching for the wildlife was such a treat.. The villa's lay out is very well thought out. The decor is just perfect. Graziella and her daughter, Guille, are excellent hosts, with lots of suggestions for places to visit, restaurants to eat at and beaches to spend some time on. They responded to our questions and were very kind and generous with their time. We throughly enjoyed our stay, it really is the most beautiful setting for a stay in that area of Costa Rica Thank you 😊

The cottage was exactly as we expected. It was quite an adventure to live up amongst the trees and hear the sounds of birds and monkeys. There are a lot of things to do in the area. Beaches all along the road and a nice Caribbean vibe. We especially enjoyed a guided walk in Cahuita National Park and kayaking at Punta Uva. We highly recommend a stay at Cockles Beach Villa. Beach

Loved the space! Loved how so much is outdoors - cooking outside, reading outside, just watching the birds outside. Plenty of space and everything you need to be comfortable. The bedroom is spacious and cool with the fan running. The bathroom is also large and I loved the outdoor feel of the shower. Nature is right there in your face - monkeys, toucans, raccoons, agoutis, geckos, frogs, and bugs. If you want to feel like you’re living outside in nature, this is your place. It’s also a great location that is private and very close to Cocles beach. Walkable to Puerto Viejo. I highly recommend the unit.

Magical stay - woken at 5am each morning by howler monkeys, watched 3 toucans flying between the trees from the bedroom window and dart frogs on the paths outside. Easy walk to both Puerto Viejo and Cocles beaches...great surf and plenty of good places to eat. Graziella's recommendations gave us plenty of ideas for things to see and do. Gracias

Staying at the jungle hut was a real experience. Surrounded by nature, we woke up to the growls of capuchin monkeys, watched agutis scurry around, and even had a close call with a palm-sized spider on the path. The property is nestled right in Cocles, with the lively town of Puerto Viejo just a 30-minute walk away. The hut itself offers the bare essentials for a short stay. The beds are comfortable, and the mosquito netting does a great job keeping the bugs at bay. Don’t forget to pack your repellent, there’s no shortage of eager arthropods ready to feast! Finding the place was straightforward thanks to the pin Guille sent before our arrival, though Google Maps struggled a bit. We switched to Waze, as suggested by locals, and that worked. Guille also provided a great list of recommendations - we especially enjoyed kayaking, exploring the beaches, and trying local spots. Selvin came highly recommended, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype and they were out of their signature mains

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at the Cocles Beach Villa. Graziella and her son Guille were very accommodating and provided us with lots of important information about activities. Salvadora was also very helpful with check in and all our questions. The villa was beautiful and in a great location (in the jungle but still close to the road and the beach). On the first day, we saw a sloth in the tree directly across from our shower. Toucans flew by every day, and we were woken up by howler monkeys in the morning. All in all, a perfect stay! thank you :-)

We loved staying at Graziella's place and already can't wait to return in the future! The home itself was unique and set up well with everything needed. The bed was comfortable, and we loved waking up in the morning to hear the sounds of birds coming through the surrounding windows. The outside area was lush and we occasionally saw monkeys! Graziella was very communicative and answered any questions we had promptly. Would highly recommend!

An absolute joy to stay among the tree tops and watch the wildlife around us. More relaxing and soothing than I could have imagined. The location gives you the sound of the waves in the distance but still quite private and immersed in jungle sound and creatures. We only had bicycles for 2 weeks which worked best for us, then a quad bike for a few days to explore further away. Salvadora was charming and helpful. Altogether a wonderful experience. Thank you

Beautiful place to stay in the tropical garden. Very private. Huge covered porch, atmospherically lit. Lovingly decorated and super clean. You can hear the sea and howler monkeys. We had a sloth with baby in the garden. A few minutes walk to the beach and to many restaurants. Absolutely recommended!

Located right at the edge of cocles beach on the side closer to Puerto Viejo this place was both secluded and close enough to everything. Especially with a bike (rent for $5 a day), everything is a stone’s throw away. There is one more house on the property but lots of vegetation between the houses that allows for privacy. I didn’t have a car so needed an uber to get to the bus station at Puerto Viejo because of my bag ($4). The host was very responsive and sent lots of recommendations for things to do. I also arrived a couple of hours early and they let me drop off my bag while the cleaner was still there. Great experience over all!

We loved the peaceful environment, the comfortable and clean accommodations, and the Caribeans Cafe just down the road. It provided delicious coffee, breakfast, and even transportation when we needed it. Overall, we had a great stay!

The place is as in the pictures, it's a real experience to be so close to nature. At night you can hear howler monkeys. The way to the beach was really short and also to restaurants, bars. But I would not leave any food on the kitchen table outside overnight - with us monkeys came and ate that:) we also had a visit from a very sweet cat from time to time. The host was very friendly and gave us really good tips for the area. I would go here again:)

This is the second time I rented the house. This time I rented both houses. Everything was perfect. Communication wiith the owner. The house, location, check in, etc. I had to stay a day more (flight cancelled), and it was a very easy process. I highly recommend this property.

The apartment in the middle of the jungle is just stunning! Yet close to the beach and the street where you can find a lot of Restaurants and Bars. It‘s very clean and an amazing experience to sleep in the middle of the forest with all the animals like Iguanas. Graziella gave us a lot of tips what we can do and we did so much - it was just great!

Had an excellent time! Place was as-described. Host gave super useful recommendations about the area. Main thing to know is that it’s about a 28 minute walk from the main area, and the roads have a small shoulder in places - some people may feel somewhat uncomfortable walking.

The absolute perfect place to stay in the Puerto Viejo area. It’s a lovely 30 min walk along the beach into town, and only a 5 min walk to Cocles beach. The house and it’s location are beautiful. Lots of helpful information sent before you arrive. We were allowed to check in several hours early which was really appreciated. Would definitely recommend this place and hope we can return soon.

This was our second time staying a week at this beautiful home. We love it. It can be warm without A/C but the fans sufficed for us. Jean, who caretakers the place and stays downstairs sometimes, is very helpful. We found two things lacking in the utensil drawer this stay - a cork screw and a flipper for turning eggs. Jean brought us a cork screw immediately. Hopefully there will be a flipper for the next guy (we told Jean we didn’t need one at the time). Other than that the house has most everything you need. We tried to buy some plastic wine glasses for the house to leave but couldn’t find any. Hope these don’t sound like complaints. They are not. The ambiance at this villa is the best. You feel like you are loving in a garden jungle. The tall glass doors in the bedroom are wonderful. We opened them all and left them open the whole time we were there. We had a day of heavy rain and with the huge roof overhangs nothing got wet. The Villa is wonderful as is the host.

Graziella has a beautiful place that’s clean, picturesque and near the beach! When we arrived, we were surprised to find fresh fruit & water- which is not always complimentary and was soo appreciated! This place is perfect for people wanting to stay away from the main road but not too isolated in the jungle! There’s yoga lessons offered near by and beautiful beaches & restaurants! We loved our stay! Make sure she sends you the detailed directions to her place! They will be very helpful - particularly if you are arriving at night. We also want to thank the very helpful caretaker Jean - he was the best! We highly recommend it! We give it 5-stars!!

Just beautiful! we spent almost 3 weeks from Pura Vida 😊☀️ the house is just fantastic, in the middle of a sublime jungle, with lots of animals (howler monkeys, birds, toucans, frogs, hummingbirds etc.) and yet a 5-minute walk from the beach! What a pleasure to go to the beach every morning when the sun is not too strong, and we are alone in the world! I advise you in the shade of the tree on the left side of the beach, facing the beautiful rock that we see in the photos. the Caribbean coast is beautiful . From + the house is really beautiful, well built, attention to detail, quality towels, a good double bed, a great terrace. The hot shower works wonderfully, the fridge-freezer is new, etc. Everything works. A feast to live in. Supermarkets next door to Cocles, restaurants, everything is within walking distance of the beaches! And Guille was great with attention and recommendations. A big Bravo! We will be back for sure

Beautiful home, beautiful details, peace and nature, you sleep very well, the awakening is fantastic, birds singing monkeys shouting a show. I personally love being surrounded by nature and at the same time having peace and pravacy, well that's exactly what you'll find. It is also very convenient to get to the beach on foot, there are bars and restaurants within walking distance. We saw the sloth on the way home. Birds, red and green frogs in the home garden. Communication with the owner and those who take care of the house was impeccable, super helpful and kind. I highly recommend this house.

This airbnb was awesome! What felt like in the middle of the jungle, it was situated right outside of puerto viejo which gave it a very calm and serene energy while still being close to everything. The airbnb itself was very clean and spacious. There were restaurants a 5-10 minute walk from the airbnb (our favorites were Caribe del sol for breakfast and tasty waves for drinks). For the surrounding areas though, I would recommend having some sort of vehicle for travel (we rented an ATV). The tuctucs are great, but typically only leave from populated areas like puerto viejo. We visited Manzanillo and Cahuita national park and the airbnb location was situated right between them. The property manager, Jean, was very kind and helpful throughout our trip and was there for whatever we needed. Would highly highly recommend this place!

We loved staying at Graziella's place! We stayed close to downtown Puerto Viejo our first two evenings and then stayed here the last three nights of our trip. It was nice getting a break from the traffic and noise of the town in this beautiful forest escape. We rented bikes and it only took ~5 minutes to get to the majority of restaurants/shops. We walked one day and it probably took just a little over 20 minutes. The place is a 5 minute walk from Playa Cocles which was INCREDIBLE! We went to the beach at least once a day and enjoyed the water, sand, and playing pickup volleyball with locals. The host Guille messaged me to give recommendations throughout our visit and the property manager Jean was very prompt in helping us check in (allowed us to check in 3 hours earlier than the normal check in so we could see the Solar eclipse!) and check out. Overall, the Airbnb felt very homey and was absolutely gorgeous. We had a lovely stay and would HIGHLY recommend to everyone!

Amazing stay at a beautiful place in a spectacular location in the jungle, yet right across the street from a gorgeous beach. Plenty of eateries nearby and Jaguar Rescue not far away was an amazing place to visit. Everything was clean and comfortable and Graziella provided many great recommendations and also provided bicycles to rent. Would definitely recommend

This is a peaceful, beautiful place to stay. The main room is open and makes the jungle part of your living room. A pizote visited one night and made a mess of 6 eggs we left out and ate all the bananas. I saw plenty of wild life and I loved this place. Great energy. Peaceful. Private. Walked to beach and swam every day. Checkout Karaoke Saturday nights at Tasty Wave (I think it’s named).

I highly recommend this place, it is absolutely stunning all around. The home itself was built spectacularly, with natural wood and no expense spared. You have a massive outdoor porch space that is covered, has multiple places for several people to comfortably lounge, and the kitchen is out there too. The home is situated in a jungle, but the interior is pristine without an insect in sight. The scenery around you is mesmerizing and you will see all sorts of wildlife. The interior space is lined with floor to ceiling windows that all can be completely retracted so the inside is entirely exposed to the outside. Bathroom, kitchen, bed, everything was top notch. The location is excellent too, as you only have a very safe 5 min walk to a pristine beach. The area is full of stuff to do and if you don’t have a car you can easily get rides around the area using the many tuctucs driving around. Jean is an excellent host and will help with whatever is needed! 5/5!!

This house is absolutely fabulous! It is even more beautiful and especially more spacious than in the pictures. The surroundings are like in paradise!!! On our last day, we could even observe howler monkeys (in secure distance, but still to be well seen with binoculars) from the garden. The house is lovingly decoratrd in carribean style, very tasteful. It is equipped to suit each and every need, including smoothie maker and a toaster. Our hosts even provided a large canister of prepacked water. Moreover, Guilles, our host, was always extremely friendly, helpful with tips and available for questions. THANKS A LOT for letting us rent the very particular place.

Wonderful place. Close to Puerto Viejo (less than 15 mins walk) and very very close to Playa Cocles which is a beautiful beach. The place was clean, fully equipped and 100% comfortable. The pictures does not make justice to how beautiful it really is. Will definitely come again.

This air bnb was beyond amazing!!! I cannot say enough good things about it! It was located within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and shops. With all the plants and trees surrounding it though, it felt very private and cozy. It was like our own little oasis. It looked even prettier then the pictures! One of my favorite things about it was that the bedroom area was completely screened off from the living room. This means that you don’t have to worry about bugs in your sleeping space. The bedroom area was beautiful with lots of windows surrounding it which could be fully opened. Between the bedroom and living room there were also huge doors which you could leave open to be able to see the full space. The doors also lock so you know you and your belongings are safe. Graziella was a wonderful host. She communicated clearly and quickly and gave us lots of good recommendations. I cannot wait to stay here again next time we visit. :)

Graziella's was extremely responsive and helpful. Can't say more except it was excellent! And the stories are true, we saw toucan's from the balcony almost on a daily basis!

Really great place to stay in Cocles. Close to Puerto Viejo and also and easy cycle to Punta Uva. The host provided bikes at a reasonable price. The location is beautiful, with amazing beaches nearby. The host and property manager were both extremely helpful, responsive and really made us feel welcome with lots of recommendations. There is a bar at the end of the road which plays live music a couple of nights. You can hear this from the property, however it was finished before too late at night, so didn't cause any issues.

The villa and grounds are absolutely lovely, and Graziella and Jean did everything in their power to make our stay enjoyable. In the past, when we were in Costa Rica, we had very quiet evenings. This is what we had expected, however, this is a party area so there is bar noise and music until 10 or 11 PM on the weekends and occasionally other times. The host tried to speak on our behalf to the establishments, but we were told these are the neighbors and it's accepted as normal. They can't really control it. But it's a beautiful Beach area and only 5 minutes either direction. The beach path to Puerto Viejo was a lovely stroll of 1.5 miles.

Beautiful well cared for natural wood construction in a lovely tropical garden. Communication with Graziella, her son and their property manager Jean went very well. We knew if we had a need any one of the 3 would have been available to help. Easy to find the property. 2 wonderful grocery stores just down the road. Enjoyed walking the road around the area spotting monkeys, sloths, toucans... Couldn't have been happier with the 6 days we spent here.

Our stay at the Villa was magical! As naturalists, we were in heaven! The Villa is beautiful and perfectly set up for taking in the sights, sounds smells - all the wonders of the rain forest. The natural surroundings are simply stunning and will not disappoint. We had a wonderful time birding each morning from our beds and the main living space. There are so many hummingbirds! Coming from Vermont in the US, we were so pleasantly surprised that there were no biting or buzzy bugs! We loved the location and were just a lovely short walk to Caribeans, a fabulous place for breakfast and chocolate. Playa Cocles is so close and beautiful. Do pay attention to the red flags on the beach when up, indicating riptides. There are lifeguards and a zone marked with a yellow flag designated for swimming. We had a great fun in the waves there! Big thanks to Graziella, her son, and Jean for sharing the Villa!! They were warm, very responsive and gave great suggestions! We’d LOVE to come again!

Place was in a beautiful setting and quiet, away from the street noise. We really enjoyed the privacy and the accommodations. Our coffee pot did not work and Jean the next day got us a new one! What service!

An amazing place that allows you to immerse yourself in the jungle, while having all the amenities that you are used to in your everyday life. Even if it rains, you can have a great time on the huge terrace. The host gave a lot of useful information about the local beaches and also quickly answered all questions. One morning the water stopped working, I contacted the host, and half an hour later a repair man came in and fixed everything despite the fact that it was early in the morning. Highly recommend this place!

Graziella’s Beach House is the perfect place to fully switch off and relax. 3min from the beach, nestled in the jungle. It was spotlessly clean and communication with her son Guille who manages the house was super straightforward and easy. Absolutely loved staying with them and would come back in a heartbeat.

The treehouse (as we dubbed it) was absolutely amazing and as advertised. You’re completely surrounded by jungle and was absolutely perfect for us. Fair warning that if you choose to stay here you’ll be “outside” the whole time. It sometimes makes for warm nights but there’s fans supplied and you do acclimatize. We were lucky enough to be visited by a sloth right outside our window 2 days in a row! We did have a couple nights where the local restaurant was playing fairly loud music until around midnight but that was drowned out fairly easily by the wildlife and fans. We stayed here without a vehicle and there were plenty of restaurants within walking distance and puerto viejo and cocles were about a 20 min walk for the supermarket and other needs. My only complaint is that this is the first of 5 places we stayed at and it ruined us as we kept comparing our other stays to this one and none lived up to it!

This is an enchanting place to enjoy the southern Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. Set right in the forest like a treehouse, it feels very connected to the flora and fauna around it.

This place is really magical. And this was our second stay here… We liked it so much we came back! It seems to me that a lot of rentals in Puerto Viejo are tucked away in the jungle and seem a bit dark and claustrophobic. However this place is raised above the jungle and while it is surrounded by rainforest it has a nice open airy feeling that is absolutely wonderful. While there are no screens we were not bothered by bugs and we enjoyed the feeling of being connected to the rainforest in such a unique and unusual way. We heard howler monkeys every day which only added to the jungle vibe. There is a locked gate so security is not an issue although we were assured that there has never been any issues of that kind. The place is also nicely located near Cocles beach and an easy walk into the town. I think if you were looking for a rainforest experience this place would be hard to beat
