We're leaving in love with this wonderful place. An earthly paradise that we're going to return to because we love it

Absolutely Incredible!! You never truly know what your Air B&B will be like until you arrive and experience it first hand…we honestly couldn’t have imagined it any better. The drive in on the sleepy, bumpy & dusty country road led us to a dreamy oasis with ocean views and a cool water pool that refreshed us (and where we spent most of our waking hours). The birds! Speechless at all of the species we saw and heard…the colors, the iguanas, dogs, frogs at night and bats helping to keep the mosquitos at bay. If you are a nature lover…I can’t imagine a better place to visit…seriously. The A/C & fans in each room kept us super cool at night and the space is huge…especially for the two of us. As a Chef, I loved the kitchen with the sliding windows to the bar and pool and we cooked nearly every night. Lastly, we felt at home…playing scrabble, reading and looking through the atlas and binoculars…definitely appreciated the openness to us. We most definitely will be coming back!!!

Beautiful stay at Miraflores. We hosted a surf and yoga retreat on the property and it was a huge success. Everyone was comfortably accommodated, the kitchen and dinning areas are very spacious and a great place to cook, and share meals. Wake up to the sound of the ocean, flowing river, and tropical birds. The view from the rancho and pool is one of a kind. Wonderful place to spend some time.

The place is really cute. It has a pool, river and the beach just steps away. The kitchen is very well equipped and the care of the caregivers was excellent. We will definitely be back. Thank you Carol!

Definitely lots of pros and just a few cons. Pros are that the house is absolutely beautiful…more beautiful than the pictures. The beds are very comfortable which is not often the case in Nicaragua. Kitchen is stocked with lots of cooking supplies and there are games, books, art supplies and many special touches. The construction is top notch and the security guard and staff are very friendly and helpful. Dogs that live on the property are also very friendly. Cons: Personally I wouldn’t go again during rainy season. We have a 4 wheel drive vehicle and it was deep mud for about 4km and we barely made it without getting stuck. We almost took out a fence and had another truck side swipe us as they slid in the mud. We drove the beach instead of the road leaving & had to drive through a river and again barely made it out without getting stuck. Too stressful for my taste. But in dry season I would 100% book again!! Only other con was internet was a bit of an issue and no hot showers.

It was nice. The place is beautiful. The only thing is that towels are missing and the bathrooms need doors because the water runs, not all the rooms have air, but it's pretty cool for the vegetation. everything else is fine.

Stunning location! It felt like you had your own little piece of lush green paradise by the beach. The house is more spacious than the photos indicate. the pool is a decent size, certainly by Nicaraguan standards. The kitchen is well equipped, cafetière, blender…bbq area outside. Stunning views especially from the dining area table as well as when lounging in the pool. Plenty of natural shade throughout the day. A wonderful place to watch the birds go by, and to be able to hear the ocean from. The beach is in walking distance & we had 3 over 70s in our group who all made it there. Oh, and the beds were very comfortable (nice firm mattresses). Would we stay again, yes!

Completely satisfied, very nice place, permanent service (which is very important for any improvisation since you are very far from home), equipped kitchen. Recommended.

This was our second time here and we love it. Pick up and return to the airport is a huge benefit! The pool and beach were both beautiful and peaceful. The groundskeepers were helpful, kind and respected our privacy. The layout is perfect and provides a very relaxed and comfortable setting. It is suitable for a number of couples or large family. Our host was helpful and easy to communicate with. We had a really wonderful holiday!

Thanks Jenifer, always a pleasure to host you. See you next year.

It was a real gift to discover this gem! We met a lady on the plane who told us about the area, and this was the only AirBnB anywhere in the region. It couldn't have been more perfect (unless we maybe had another family staying with us)! There would have been plenty of space for two families, easily. The little Casitas (bungalows) are so cute! I can't say enough about the peace and beauty of this place. The ocean is just steps away, a stream flows beside the property (countless bird species), and there's a pool! The waves are great for surfing right out front, and there's NOBODY there! We took a short drive to a nearby resort one evening to surf, play basketball, have a great dinner and met a bunch of really great people. The locals are all kind and friendly (like everywhere we've been in Nicaragua) and will help you with directions and suggestions. We will definitely be back for another stay (and hopefully meet you C-A and JD)!!

This was our second time in this place and this time the place was better than before it was renewed and it has more space now. We had a minor incident that was taken care of immediately, the host and the security guy were really friendly. We enjoyed our stay here.

My family and I had a great time at Mira Flores. The home has a beautiful view of the river and ocean, a lovely pool to swim in and a big open concept kitchen, dining and living space. My young boys loved the remote and natural surroundings - iguanas, birds, crabs, toads & more. A highlight was them getting to see newborn baby turtles and help release them back into the ocean. The host was very friendly, responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

The house has an incredibly relaxing view and it is extremely well-equipped. We had an amazing time. Also the property manager is very kind and helpful in case you have any difficulty. I highly recommend it. 4x4 vehicle is a must.

This home is very clean and pleasant in a great location where the river ends into the sea. We had lots of fun at the beach catching crabs, swimming in the pool. And the AC was working perfectly in every room. WiFi was also installed recently. Thank you for a great and restful experience.

I enjoyed such a great time. The family and I enjoyed a beautiful built in pool while I bbq’d so we could eat under the rancho enjoying the sunset. The beach was literally 50 meters from the house and apparently there are a lot of surfing locations nearby that I didn’t know of which were cool. The 3 bedrooms and loft bedroom for the kids was great as well as we all had some space. It was delivered super clean and seemed like it was taken care of for once, not like other places I’ve rented here previously. The rental of the 4x4 came in pretty handy too since I didn’t have transportation really to get some supplies here and there. The people were super friendly and helpful that worked there. So I’m sure if you had any questions just ask.

It is an excellent place to arrive with the family, everything very neat and clean, away from the cities and the beach is practically only for visitors.

This place is highly recommended, very private and comfortable. To get there is better to have a 4x4 when the river is high and it's definetely worth it to visit.

Casa Mira Flores was a lovely retreat! We bought our groceries in town and then sat back, relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful sunsets. We definitely recommend and plan on returning.

Everything about this place and my trip to Nicaragua exceeded my expectations. From the moment my family I arrived in Managua, until our departure nine days later, our experience at Casa Mira Flores made this trip the best vacation our family has had. Our hosts arranged for us to have a local guide named Lester, to meet us at the airport to navigate the city (including a grocery stop) and to direct us to Casa Mira Flores. Waking up to perfect weather every day! Listening to the ocean waves from the wading pool, birds chirping from morning till night. It was all great. The open concept of the space was great for entertaining and we really liked the big room. We cooked awesome meals for our family every night and made a point of never missing the sunset on the beach. It was spectacular. The support on the property from Diego, the property management, made travelling the surrounding countryside and knowledge of the local community a treat. We felt very safe and happy to be there. The recommendations from the host on neighbouring locations, restaurants, and activities added a lot of value to our social life. Surfing, Palapa Chilling and Thursday night poker at Mind the Gap, Hiking through the Eco-Centro del Bosque, swimming at playa Mira Flores, and market shopping in Masachapa were highlights. Another plus was the one day excursion to La Maquina where we had the entire waterfalls to ourselves, and went on nature hikes and marvelled at the zip-lining with an abundance of wildlife. We even did a little dirt biking! Our 5 children, ages 9, 11, 13, 14 and 17 were amazed at the way the locals lived, the spanish language, the roaming of pigs, cows, dogs, chickens. They saw kids crossing a big suspended bridge in uniform on there way to school. They saw mango, aguava, banana and coconut trees and sugar cane plantations. I can't say enough about Nicaragua. It was a wonderful experience and we want to go back. Five stars plus to Casa Mira Flores.
