A nice place to stay between West End and West Bay and i highly recommend clearwater diving center if you want to explore safely the caribean sea with profesionals. My husband and I had an amazing trip to the Turtle Beach Resort. It was even better than the pictures. The property was so lush and tropical, fitting perfectly into the island surroundings. We loved the beautiful, quite beach right out front and the ability to walk to town easily. We especially loved the macaws on the property and the beautiful views right from our screened porch. Paul was a helpful and responsive host. We would recommend this place to anyone! Thank you!

We absolutely loved Turtle Beach Dive!! It's was perfect for our family vacation. The location is everything, it was right in the middle of West Bay and West End. We were easily able to walk to both areas. The water taxi's and tours pick you up right from the dock, makes it so nice and stress free!! It was so nice and peaceful, and not crowded at all. The owners and everyone that works there were super friendly and helpful. We could not have asked for a better place to stay!! We will 100% recommend!!

Our week at Turtle Beach Dive Resort was one of our favorite family vacations. The resort is located between West Bay & West End and has its own private beach and dock. Our villa was perfect for our group of five and it was an absolute delight to have the macaw family to feed on our upper deck in the mornings! Upon booking, I got an email confirming my reservation and information from Paul's (the owner) staff assuring me there would be a driver to pick us up from the airport to take us to the grocery store and then on to the resort. This was fantastic! We picked up provisions for the week and were met by Paul in person when we arrived. He gave us a tour of the resort and was full of information and ideas for us. We spent the week on the beach, snorkelling right from the shore at Turtle Beach (what a treat), shopping and snorkelling in West End, and laying on the beach and snorkelling West Bay. Roatan is truly a little-known paradise and the best snorkelling we've ever experienced!

Our family had a wonderful time at the resort! We loved feeding the macaws, walking the beach, meditating in peace, and listening to all the birds. We really appreciate the kindness offered to us by Paul and his staff. They went above and beyond! The house was perfect for 6 adults. We recommend this fabulous resort if you want to be where you can access the town and the beautiful beaches while enjoying nature and its beauty every day! This was a Christmas to remember!

We had the most wonderful week at Turtle Beach! The resort is beautiful and unique offering many options of villas, with a great location far enough away that it feels secluded, yet close enough that we could venture out on foot or kayak if we wanted. Dive shop next door was convenient too. We stayed in the Mayan Villa, and we felt right at home (even better than home because of the ocean front view!) It was spacious for 2 couples, and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Cannot rave enough about the hospitality of Paul, his lovely wife and staff! All very helpful, kind and informative, making you feel like family. And of course Bailey the dog was the icing on the cake. Make sure to visit Marvin (aka Octopus Whisperer) on the dock at night. He’ll spot the coolest sea life! And the snorkeling right off the beach is amazing too! The Macaw’s would come in a few times a day, which were incredible to see up close. We didn’t want to leave, and we’re already planning our return visit

Paul’s place is “the place” to stay in Roatan. Forget the 4 & 5 star hotels nearby! We stayed at Paul’s “Turtle beach villas” for 4 nights and we truly enjoyed. Put villa “Manta Ray” was private, peaceful, clean and welcoming. All the amenities worked had a good sized kitchen the AC was great and our villa had a nice closed in porch with screens so “no mosquitoes”. They even had a nice hummingbird feeder that was refilled daily and we had about 10 hummingbird’s frequent daily and this added to experience. I have stayed at several Airbnb’s in Roatan and nothing comes close to this one so highly recommended and we will be back next year. Also want to mention Maria who helped with the checking and made us feel welcome as well as Carlos whom was a true gentleman and helped with our luggage. I can’t say enough about Paul’s place and hats off to Paul for having such a wonderful property.

We spent 5 days at Turtle Beach! We loved the location. Only a 3 minute walk to dive at Clearwater Adventures! Maria and Paul were friendly and attended to any needs or questions we had! Waking up to the calm water and watching the sunset were amazing moments! We are already booked to come back!

Fantastic stay in Whale. We had all the comforts of home with a gorgeous sea view. The property is well taken care of and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is also perfect right in between west end and west bay. 5 minute water taxi either way. Can’t wait to go back !

Amazing experience, my family had a blast!

From the moment we arrived we were impressed! Beautiful views, the landscaping is beautiful as you walk around the property. The staff is great and very friendly. Maria was sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. The owner Paul met us upon arrival and would check on us periodically during our stay july 17th - 23rd. He helped recommend guides and excursions. We didnt want to leave. The location is great and water taxi is always out front by the dock. 5 minute ride to west bay or west end. We stayed in the Mayan villa and couldn't ask for a betrer villa. Pool rifht out front and most of the time we had it all to ourselves. The outdoor kitchen was awesome. We caught fish and cooked a feast one evening. It was stocked with spices, pans, utensils etc. We will definitely be back to turtle beach dive resort! We love it there!! 😍❤️🏝

We absolutely loved our stay at Turtle Beach and can't wait to go back!! What a special place Paul has curated. This was our first trip to Roatán, and we count our lucky stars that we chose so wisely and didn't stay in a larger hotel or a busier area. Every detail of this tropical paradise was crafted carefully, with artistic details everywhere, handcrafted touches on every surface, and designed thoughtfully to be the perfect boutique villa experience. The 2B 2Ba Eagle Ray Villa was perfect for our family of four and we're so glad we chose it. The screened porch was awesome, the views were incredible, the amenities just what we needed. We were very comfortable there, and it was the perfect home base for all our excursions, to which we could return in the afternoons and relax in the pool or the AC. A simply magical escape that let us feel like we were the only people on the island at times, yet we could walk next door to SCUBA dive with Clearwater or call Big John for a water taxi.

Absolutely loved our stay at Paul’s place. Great staff, snorkeling right outside, adorable homes, easy access to everything in either West Bay or West End, and several resorts/restaurants in easy walking distance down the beach. Turtle beach is a gem, away from the hustle and bustle, but super close to everything. Five stars all the way, would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay in the Whale house at Turtle Beach for our first visit to Roatan. The entire property is immaculate! Paul is a fantastic host - always asking guests if they need anything or stopping for a chat during his busy days. His resort is so beautifully decorated and well-kept. Everyone in our party commented on discovering the small touches in every corner of the property. Turtle Beach location is perfect, on a quiet section of beach, yet within walking distance of bars/restaurants/West Bay. And so easy to catch a water taxi from the dock. We felt so safe - day and night - walking the beach and taking water taxis after dark with our group without hesitation. 100% recommend staying here with family or friends for a weekend or for a season - it's absolutely perfect.

The Bird House/Whale house was everything we hoped for our stay in Roatan! The house was so clean and the Macaws were a fun bonus. Everyone who works there is so friendly and helpful. We dove with Clearwater Dive Shop just next door and the experience was unmatched!

This place is absolutely beautiful! We didn’t want to leave! Paul was super helpful and we loved all of his recommendations. They did not disappoint. He was so responsive when we had questions. Maria and all the staff go above and beyond taking care of the property and villas. The Whale house was the perfect villa for us because we loved feeding the macaws every morning and evening. It truly is a magical place and we hope to be back!

We had a wonderful time at Turtle Beach and felt welcomed from the start. The view is amazing, and it is nice being fairly close to both West Bay and West End. The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are rustic, have all the basics you need, and fit well with the island, and it's awesome being right on the water. The ocean has a lot of sea grass and algae in this section of the beach so it not really swimmable, if you are looking for that clear blue water, white sand experience, but it is a pretty easy walk (about 20 minutes) to West Bay, where you will get that. We really enjoyed Rigo, the driver who was sent by Turtle Beach to pick us up.

If you're looking for a stand-out vacation with opportunities every single day and evening to make life-time memories --- this is it! Paul is an amazing host and his team is equally responsive, friendly, at-the-ready with any request, etc. I cannot say enough about the hospitality and eagerness to please. The exact location of this villa is perfect because you are in a truly peaceful hide-away but you can walk 20 minutes in one-direction and be in the middle of a major party or walk 20 minutes in the other direction for fantastic dining options, pubs, boutiques and shopping. I also really appreciated all the great recommendations. Whatever it is: who to call for the water taxi, where to go to fish, personalized and customized zip-lining excursions, zero-risk on the outings, etc. etc. etc. We do alot of Airbnb and VRBO and this is without a doubt, a true standout. We will be back for sure and we could not be happier to give Paul and this location an enthusiastic thumbs up!

Turtle Beach was amazing. We were in an awe of the decorative details that are around every corner. The pickup was so easy. Rigo was there just as planned and on the way to the resort, took us to the grocery store to stock up on supplies. When we got to the resort, our bags were whisked away to our suite, where Paul gave us the run down on how everything worked. Everything from the suite itself to the rest of the resort was as pictured and described. There are lots of spots to relax and enjoy the scenery and free access to water toys and snorkel gear. The staff, especially Maria, were super friendly. West Bay was just a short walk away and the cute town of West End was easily reachable by Big John’s water taxi. The beach in front of the resort was immaculately maintained every morning. We did have a couple of small maintenance problems, including a leak from outside (due to torrential rains). But Paul was very responsive and was just a call or message away.

This was just a 'one night stop-over' for us on our way to Utila, but we will DEFINITELY be back for a longer stay!! Turtle Beach is a very unique place like no other I've experienced. You could spend hours just walking the property and admiring the thoughtful details throughout; the woodwork, the lighting, the murals, the stonework.... Everywhere you turn there is something that makes you go 'WOW!'. The setting couldn't be more perfect to have exactly they kind of vacation you are looking for. Laurie provided us with every detail necessary to ensure a smooth arrival, we literally didn't even have to think. The driver (Rigo - LOVED HIM!) picked us up from the airport, took us to the grocery store (where he graciously helped us with everything), and made sure we were all settled in before he left us at our destination. Cannot say enough about how much we loved this place. Can't wait to come back for a proper stay! What an amazing piece of paradise you've built!!

Not enough words to describe our experience!!! The Mayan is def an amazing villa to stay in:) From the beginning, Paul and Paūla, were super attentive. Anything we needed they were quick to help. Bailey the dog, was always ready for a pet and some love! Rosa and Marie were amazing! We ended up getting “stuck” here w Trop Storm Sara.. no issues at all. We were able to extend our stay 2 days due to airport closure w no problems!! If I could give 6 stars I would😀

Our group of 6 (2 couples each with a teen, who are friends) had a great time staying at Turtle Beach. We loved feeding the macaws every morning, having easy access to 2 pools which would be sunny or shaded depending on the time of day, snorkeling outside the resort, and cooking in the communal kitchen. There are a variety of great restaurants in walking distance or via quick water taxi. Paul had great recommendations for local tours, and was very easy to communicate with when we had questions and issues.

I hesitate to write this only because I don’t want it to be booked next time we come… We found this place by chance, a family of five interested in doing different things. This is the perfect spot, everything you need. Incredibly welcoming and friendly hosts (and their friends!). Everything you need is around you, including karaoke night. Safe, relaxing, walkable, accommodating, all the best things. We don’t tend to revisit the same places when we vacation but we will definitely be back. Oh! And who can forget Rose! The newest star employee of this perfect little resort. Thanks gang, you made our little family trip so special. And PS- Becca is ready for a cornhole rematch!

Don't hesitate to book! We came for a ladies trip and the Bird House/Whale House was just perfect. We loved being able to walk and kayak to West End and West Bay but discovered we preferred staying close to Turtle Bay over the more populated areas. Paul, Rosa and all the staff were so welcoming and helpful. The snorkeling right off the beach is good, and even better a 10 minute kayak ride away at the reef. We did a lot of diving, snorkeling, and cultural touring with Clearwater (2 minutes walk down the beach) and loved every second. There are several restaurants nearby for lunch/dinner, and we stocked up on breakfast staples at the grocery on our way in. Pick up at the airport was smooth and easy, and Paul arranged our ride back to the airport with no trouble at all. The house itself is lovely and we enjoyed the morning and evening macaw visits! The upstairs bathroom is "open air" so whoever stays up there will want to be comfortable with that-no problem at all for our group. Loved it!

Just what we needed. Peaceful and beautiful. Beach front. Spectacular sunsets. And a two minute walk to Clearwater Adventures, a chill dive shop with friendly, professional staff. Did several dives with them and one snorkel trip with my family. Spacious and views from most rooms. Screened in porch was nice to have. We didn’t cook, but a good sized kitchen, full size fridge, etc. Pool is clean, but small, which is fine because the Caribbean is right there. AC is great. Wi-Fi great. Multiple restaurants nearby, just walk up the beach. Paul hooked us up with the dive shop, water taxi driver, car transport driver, and the cleaning people couldn’t be sweeter. Easy living for a few days. Thanks Paul!

We had a lovely time at Turtle Beach Resort. The location was perfect, quiet and right on the beach, close to a few restaurants and at walkable distance from West Bay. The view from our deck was just sumptuous, and Paul and his staff were really nice and helpful. Could not have dreamt of a better place. Highly recommended.

Loved our stay at Turtle Beach! The cottages were very comfy and homey, Paul was super helpful with directing us to fun activities (fun kayaking with Luke!), we loved the proximity to Clearwater Adventures for scuba and snorkeling, and Rigo was always responsive and helpful with rides to places. We had an evening with Rosa cooking - her food was amazing and the communal outdoor kitchen was such a fun setting. And the setting was perfect - close enough to West Bay and West End to enjoy restaurants but not in the busy area, so we had plenty of quiet space to chill out. We will be back!

What a great locations. Kids loved it, great recommendations. Paul was helpful and set us up with local people to take us where we needed to go. Everyone wants to come back just have to figure out when.

We stayed at Turtle Beach in the Eagle Ray Villa. Driving into the compound was exciting with blind turns and steep descents. The grounds are beautiful with tons of tropical plants and interesting art carvings and paintings sprinkled throughout. We had super easy access to Clearwater Adventures right next door for all of our diving excursions. Laundry service is available at a reasonable rate and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a community dinner with some other guests one night that was cooked for us by Rosa. Paul is a very engaged host and he helped us with everything we asked for. The area is a little primitive and the wifi and cooking gas can go in and out, neither was a problem for our family though. The A/C blew cold and the sunsets off the back patio can be amazing. There's a community kitchen that can be used by the guests and our unit had all the utensils we needed. We'll be back! 😁😁

Paul’s place is simply amazing! The place is tucked in a mountain, beach front and the sunsets are magical! Super relaxing and comfortable. I was there with my family for a week and highly recommend. Paul was very friendly and accommodating, the staff was great, Rosa was super helpful. Paul’s recommendations for land/water taxi restaurants and excursions were spot on! Definitely recommend and do bring plenty of repellent!

Wonderful place to stay in Roatan! Located midway between West End and West Bay - each day we walked along the beach or kayaked to one of those towns for dinners, etc. Great snorkeling right in front of their place - spent many hours in there - seahorses, moray eel, lobsters, and a bazillion colorful fish and healthy reef. Also used their kayaks to go out to the blue channel to snorkel out there - amazing! There are also macaws who visit the property daily! Gorgeous and fun! Lodging and the grounds were as described and shown in the pictures - comfortable, spacious and very happy with it. Everyone who worked there was welcoming and friendly. Paul was easy going and responsive and gave great local recommendations. Would happily stay again and rec to others!

Paul was very attentive from the beginning of our stay and each day, including his staff. A five gallon water jug is provided and replenished if needed, as well as coffee. If you arrange airport transportation, they will also take you to the grocery store on the way. Sunday night, a lot of restaurants were closed, so we maybe should have gotten one evening meal to cook on our own. This is a private, tranquil location on the beach and you take water taxis everywhere. A slice of paradise, even covered in Deet!

We had a blast. We have stayed in West End on previous trips and we decided to do something different. SOO thankful for this beautiful condo in paradise. There is a TON to do...paddleboards and kayaks on site, snorkeling right off the beach, within walking distance from restaurants, water taxis, little stores. It is a little piece of heaven right in Roatan. Paul was very attentive to all our needs. Without a doubt, would HIGHLY recommend.

Turtle Beach is heaven on earth. We have never been to such a magical place; from the moment we set for here, we felt transformed. We have never been anywhere like this; every detail is spectacular. We marveled at the stonework, the statues, the art. And every place you looked had a beautiful view; the pictures don't even do it justice. You are in the perfect spot between West Bay and West end. We kayaked or walked to one or the other every day. There is an outdoor kitchen that was amazing; fully equipped and beautiful. The people who work here are so friendly and warm and wonderful. Our host was fabulous; he did a sit down with us at the beginning and was always available for all of our questions. There is wonderful snorkeling right off the dock; for peace beauty, this place is unmatched. We can't wait to come back next year. Turtle Beach is the stay of a lifetime.

The best place to stay in Roatan! Close enough from the action but you get you own quiet beach. Easy 15-20 min to busy west bay. An ez taxi boat ride to west end. The place is amazing, it has everything you need, games, paddle board, kitchen etc. People deliver fresh seafood and veggie upon request. - diving with Clearwater diving, 1 min walk form turtle beach. Amazing place et qualified staff. Great location, boats and équipement. - transport with Rigo pick you up at the airport, stop at a very big grocery store. - water taxi and fishing with big John! We count over 20 fish in only 4 hours. Jack fish/tuna/snapper. We’ll decently be coming back.

We had a great time. This is a very special place with local art, visiting local birds, and very accessible and responsive hosts. Each cottage is unique. Gorgeous property. Location can’t be beat. The whole group there at the time were fun and welcoming. We played beach games with them most nights and they shared recommendations of places to go in the area. LOVED THIS PLACE!! Amazing views and perfect for Sun, fun, and scuba or snorkeling.

This was our third visit to Roatan as well as our third location. I can't say enough about Paul, Steve, Laurie, Carlos, Rosa, Maria and those that supported our visit....simply amazing. When we arrived, we were greeted as we parked the car, met everyone, our luggage and groceries taken to our room and sat down with Paul and got all the phone numbers and do's and don't as well recommendations. I've never rented an Airbnb with such personal service. The location is perfect and built by Paul and Steve from the ground up. It sits between the bustling West Bay and the calmer West End...both easily accessible by water taxi...which was never more than a 5-10 minute wait on their amazing dock. Throughout our stay the entire team catered to our wants and desires...again...simply amazing. We made new friends and will visit often....HIGHLY recommended!!!

Paul was amazing, it’s secluded but everything is a water taxi or walk away. You have the option to do the west end to your right & west bay to your left. I’ll be back often! Thank you Paul & the entire island of Honduras

We had an absolutely fabulous stay at turtle beach! The place was beautiful and quiet! Perfect location between west end and west bay! We loved all the design and uniqueness of the whole resort!

Turtle beach dive resort is a hidden gem! Beautifully maintained, most friendly service and fantastic location! We walked to everything, restaurants and zip lining. They have kayaks, SUPs and snorkel gear for your use which is terrific because you can go anytime. Paula and crew made the difference for us!

We stayed in the Eagle Ray Villa for 11 days over the holidays, and it was perfect for our family of 4. Our teen boys shared a room, and Paul was able to put twin beds in the room to accommodate. I woke before sunrise every morning to enjoy watching the sun come up from the screened-in porch or top deck. Rosa and Maria checked on us daily as did Paul. Paul had great recommendations for excursions. My only mistake was not having Paul book all of our excursions, because he knows everyone and can find the best deals and guides. We didn't have a car nor did we need one. Paul arranged a driver (Rigo is lovely!) to pick us up from the airport with a stop at the grocery on the way to Turtle Beach. We used Paul's recommended water taxi and loved chatting with Big John on our trips to West End or West Bay. We dove at Clearwater Adventures and often ate at the Boat Bar - both were steps away. We loved our time at Turtle Beach, and we'll be back!

Clean, fun, great location. Paul is the most helpful Airbnb host I’ve ever had. The whole experience absolutely blew any Airbnb we’ve stayed at out of the water. We will be back forsure.

Best place I have ever stayed. Paul is so good at what he does. I can’t wait to return. Literally the best experience ever.

Paul goes above and beyond to offer not only a place but an experience to his guests. While Turtle beach is a little off the path from the major areas like West Bay and West End, we actually preferred the separation. Both were easily accessible by a quick kayak ride, and a water taxi was available at any hour. Paul‘s hospitality and connections made it feels like you were really living the island dream.

What a fantastic place Turtle Beach is. It is right between West End and West Bay but a very quiet part of the beach. Easy walk or water taxi ride to the beaches shops and restaurants. The view from our unit (Eagle Ray) was incredible. Very comfortable for our family of 4. Paul and his crew (Rosa and Marco) did a great job checking us in and making sure we had everything we needed including laundry services, arranging adventures, calling water taxis as well as transportation to and from the airport. There were plenty of water activities that were provided at the resort (snorkeling gear, kayaks, paddle boards and 2 pools). The grounds were meticulously kept. We can't say enough good things about this place. Another couple of shout outs that Paul recommended: The Boat Bar is next door right on the beach with great service, drinks and food. We stopped by there almost every day. The owners and staff there were fantastic. Clearwater Adventures is also next door for scuba diving and snorkeling adventures on the reef that is right off the beach. We'll be back! Thanks Paul and staff at Turtle Beach

Our stay at Turtle Beach was wonderful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the full kitchen allowed us to make a ton of our own meals. The property is beautiful - I especially loved the macaws! Paul and the rest of the staff were all great. The best part is the location. It’s close to both west end and west bay but out of the hustle and bustle. It’s so peaceful and quiet but still accessible to everything we needed. We loved our trip!

We’ve stayed at dozens of Airbnbs in over 20 countries and this is one of the best experiences we have had with an Airbnb. Paul is an amazing host and put up with our constant questions about activities, restaurants, snorkeling spots and much more. We stayed in the Mayan which had two bedrooms and two bathrooms. In addition it has a full kitchen with all the cooking necessities. (Make sure you stop at Eldon’s on the way from the airport to pick up groceries.) The beds were comfortable and our girls loved the pool right outside our door. You can snorkel right off the beach or take a kayak to the drop-off and snorkel on the reef. It’s an easy (and safe) walk to West Bay. Would suggest taking a water taxi to West End as the walk can get a little sketchy. The best I can say about Turtle Beach is that when we return to Roatan, we will not even look elsewhere. We will come back to Turtle Beach without hesitation.

Great location. Spotlessly clean. This is not a sterile resort, but one with great staff, good neighbors, and all the amenities for a wonderful stay. Paul, Rosa and Carlos were always available for any needs we might have had.

Wonderful stay, got to meet the owners Paul and Steve they were very kind and welcoming to say the least!! They have really built quite the bungalows here at turtle beach steps form the ocean and a couple minute boat ride to west end or west bay. 5 minute walk from Xbalanque or Ibagari or the new boat bar very neat places to visit, eat and hang out. All the locals who Steve and Paul hook you up with are amazing, Rosa(she can cook!), big Jon (boat guy, fishing, snorkeling, mangrove tours literally did it all with him!), Rigo (driver and literally if you need anything)! Cant wait to stay again!..until we meet again!

The spectacular hotel near the most beautiful beach in Roatan (West Bay), you can walk from the villa (about 20 minutes), the staff are very helpful and attentive in everything. Thanks to Rosa, Carlitos, the Big John and especially Rigo who placed us in everything we needed. Paul was always very attentive to what we needed. I can only tell you that this was the best choice of accommodation.

The place is amazing and Turtle Beach Resort is exactly as described and what past reviewers have said. The location was amazing with our unit right in front of the water and a pool that was cleaned daily was perfect for cooling down and watching the sunset. I really liked the property and the location. Its located between two very busy places, but here one has tranquility. Easy to move with water taxi. Owners are personally involved in service and everything was really perfect.

If you're thinking about going to Roatan, going to Turtle Beach should be your only option. Paul, Mary, Carlos and Rigo are phenomenal from the moment you land by plane or ferry. They are informative and well connected with events, activities and transportation. The location is great for everyone, family and couples alike. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer. Thanks for everything Paul and the entire Turtle Beach team.

Amazing stay! The hosts were the best I could've asked for. We had some serious flight issues to Roantan and we were highly stressed but the minute we met with Rigo and step foot in this place, all the stress melted away. The location is perfect, and the overall design is great. Communication, courteousness and cleanliness were also outstanding. Will definitely love to return.

We had an excellent experience at Paul's place - wish we could have stayed longer. They provided everything we needed and were only a text away if we had any questions. Paul helped us get around the island and suggested Clearwater Adventures next door where we got to experience scuba diving for the first time - it was incredible. Paul and Mary were very thoughtful and the unit had everything we needed. They even arranged for transportation to and from the airport - and setup for us to get the mandatory covid test at our villa. Can't wait to go back!!

Paul's place is great in so many ways: the location, the friendly and accommodating staff. Kayaks and SUPs provided a great way to get around to West Bay and West End. We're already saving for our next trip!

We had such a wonderful time staying with Paul. The place is absolutely stunning and it's hard to imagine a more beautiful spot. We loved sitting outside in the pool (located right outside of our airbnb) watching the sunset over the ocean every evening. The location is just tucked away enough to allow for essentially a private beach experience but both West End and West Bay are easy walking distances. We additionally enjoyed sea kayaking on several occasions over to West End. Everything went incredibly smoothly and everyone went above and beyond to make our stay amazing and relaxing. Paul hooked us up with several fun activities including scuba diving (located just next door to the airbnb) and a day with the dolphins which he set up for us and drove us to. It couldn't have been better vacation and I hope we get to stay again someday soon!

My wife and two daughters stayed in the Mayan Villa at Turtle Beach Resort for the week of January 20-27th. Paul, Larry, Mary, Rosa, Carlos and the rest of the gang are all so awesome. They treated us like we were part of the family. The villa itself is stocked with everything you need. The beds are comfy and you get a great breeze opening the windows and running the ceiling fans. At night, we closed the windows and ran the a/c (my wife likes it cold for sleeping). A/C in the living room and each bedroom work great. There are 2 swimming pools on the property and one of them is on the deck right out the door of the villa. Larry came by every morning to clean the pool. There also an amazing outdoor kitchen we used to cook dinner twice. Beautiful dock with palapa, hammock, swinging bench and comfy Adirondack chair. Everyone congregates on the dock to relax and chat. There's really nice snorkeling just 20' off the shore to the right of the dock. We also made use of the kayaks they provide on several days, including paddling up to West End one morning for snorkeling in Half Moon Bay and lunch at Ginger's. Speaking of, the location is awesome. You're smack dab in between West Bay and West End. You can walk (a little tricky to West End but not bad), kayak, or grab a water taxi for $3 to either location. But Turtle Beach is nice and quiet with very little traffic...basically like having you're own private beach. The water...amazingly clear! The coolest thing is the lengths everyone at Turtle Beach went to making sure we had everything we needed, giving recommendations and setting us up with excursions. One day, we asked Paul about the Roatan Rum Company and told us to jump in his truck and he'd take us up there. When we got there, they were closed so he said "lemme show you some sights very few people get to see" and took us out to a "keyhole" in the Iron Coast where we took amazing pics,, and then to an overlook in the woods where you could see all the way to airport. When we returned I asked about finding someone to take us to a couple good snorkeling spots we couldn't reach by shore and he recommended Raymond, a local Islander who happened to be there working on his boat. Following morning at 9, Raymond met us at the dock and took us to the Blue Channel, Spooky Channel, Starfish Alley, past Anthony's Key to see the dolphins, through the mangroves, and then one final snorkeling stop way offshore in front of Turtle Beach. All in all, a 4 hour trip and he charged us just $30 each! Raymond even gave me his favorite recipe for cooking octopus! I could keep going, but trust me when I say you will not be disappointed if you chose Turtle Beach Dive Resort! Now I know why they have people coming back every year. Thanks again to Paul and the entire gang! You guys are awesome and we'll definitely return with a bigger crew!

Paul was a great host. He was extremely responsive throughout our stay. He was even kind enough to give us rides to several places since we didn't have our own transportation. We would highly recommend his place.

Turtle beach is simply awesome. We spent an absolutely perfect week there with our adult sons. The front house with a direct view of the beach is incomparable. There's actually nothing better. We were able to use the small pool almost alone. In the open kitchen that belongs to the complex, we cooked the world's best crab and lobster. We definitely want to come back.

This was my 1st time visiting Honduras and I came to see my family.. Being at Paul's place made me feel right at home.. down to everybody in the staff the beautiful views every amenity I could want and have,from the grill the 2 pools the hammocks the walks on the beach heading to the dock. The lights lit up everywhere at night, the beauty and majestic views on this resort was astonishing!! The price is a good deal for everything! And the customer service was everything... they even got us coconut🥥 from the trees and cut it open for milk for us...guys from boats brought us fresh caught shrimp.... Paradise Island... Even when I would call for little things like bug spray or a ride to dinner, Paul was a host who goes above and beyond to make his guests feel like they are very important here at the resort. My family felt welcomed and we had the best time ever... seriously... Thank you Paul, Rosa Carlos and Melvin.. We will be back!

Truly a beautiful place to stay!!

Staying at Turtle Beach is like visiting family you haven’t met but who live in Paradise! I can not express enough what a special place this is! Paul, Mary & Larry made us instantly feel at home. We had everything we needed & more! Can’t recommend enough! Just go, you won’t be disappointed!

It might have been our luck or time of the season but this was the most relaxing vacation I have had in over 20 years. Very quiet and peaceful, with fantastic sunrises and sunsets. Our host Mary was very helpful in suggesting where to go and what to see. Rosa the maid also helped out on places to shop. All villas are rustic and blend in with the surroundings perfectly. They are very well setup with most all of the amenities you might require. Great service without being overly attentive. The road in is a little bumpy but that’s a small price for seclusion.

We had a great stay at turtle beach. We got the seafront villa with a pool just outside our doorstep. The villa was beautifully decorated with turtle designs and hand painted murals. Also the kitchen, bathrooms were fully equipped with all you needed to make more pleasant your stay. At the property you can also find kayaks, snorkeling equipment and a beautiful deck with hammocks were you can relax and enjoy the sunset. When visiting Roatán, Paul’s place is the place to stay for a relaxing vacation. Definitely visiting again soon!!

The place is just as they promise... a very nice beach, spectacular view, everything clean, very comfortable, excellent location... and to that be the best of hosts!!! Paul is extremely kind, he gives you recommendations, he is always attentive to have a great time! Definitely a place to stay!!

The location was spectacular! The villa was right on the beach with two pools and amazing decks. Paul was beyond helpful and accommodating. My son came down with a fever the day after our arrival and the clinics were closed for a holiday. Paul not only called the person the runs the clinic for advice but drive to the pharmacy for medicine and a thermometer. Paul was also fantastic about giving advice on the best places to visit and arranging transportation. The rest of the staff were extremely kind and helpful. We highly recommend Turtle Beach to anyone looking to stay in paradise!

It is an incredible experience, the cabanas are very cozy and have everything you need to spend a good vacation. Turtle beach has a good location a beautiful beach. Mary and Carlos gave us excellent care. I want to go again!!!

This is a magical place and as far as we can tell, one of the best options on the Island if you are looking for a place that is comfortable, family friendly, beautiful, with a kitchen, reasonable, and has fun things to do (snorkeling, paddle boarding, kyaking, pool star gazing, etc etc) all at a very reasonable price. Location was great - close and yet private. Thank you!!

Paul, Larry, Mary, Rosa, Carlos, and Denisse all worked together to create a high level of hospitality. One day I was trying to get a water taxi to Anthony's Key. Carlos noticed that I was having trouble and brought over Rosa to help me out. I did not have to seek out help. I got a solution to my problem without having to ask. I really appreciated that Mary brought me groceries from Coxen Hole so I wouldn't have to make a special trip. Denisse was a wonderful snorkeling host. It was great to have lunch at Crawfish Rock and meet the locals. Overall, staying at Paul's place was a great experience.

The pictures and description are accurate but in some ways don’t do the unit justice. Paul and his staff are the best. They are attentive, easy to find and make every effort to help in every way. The property is perfectly located and walkably convenient to the best of Roatan. We met new friends and had dinner and cocktails almost every night on the deck and the AWESOME new outdoor kitchen area. This place is a hidden gem and safe, secure, and every person we met was a pleasure to interact with.

Incredibly beautiful place. So relaxing, everything you need (except the mosquitos but they were everywhere in the island) we were very happy with Paul’s hospitality. Marry, Larry, Carlos and Rosa were great too. I’m not sure if I’m going to be back in Roatan but if I do, I will definitely come back to this place. Thank you for everything

-This place, is a hidden paradise.- Me + To begin with, Paul is a great host. He is always asking you if everything is all right, and in case you need something he will help you right away. The place is just right peaceful, far enough of the noisy places yet close to go if needed. It has a little nice dock in which you can enjoy the hammock of the never ending sleep during the day or just a small (noiseless) party with the purple light at night. + It is located between West End and East End. Which is great, you can take the water taxi from the dock and go either way and arrive in a few minutes or, you can just walk along the beach and enjoy splashing water all the way like I did. + Also, there are little lizards (friendly, smart and green) and crabs around the place, which is nice in case you need a new pet or just looking for dinner :P + To conclude, I will be back.
