Casa Morpho
Casa Morpho is a private residence featuring a relaxing pool, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and is located just steps from a charming stream that leads to waterfalls. Nestled within 1.5 acres of Costa Rican jungle, this new and comfortable home offers three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, a beautiful pool, and a dedicated office space. Sámara Town and the beach are only a 3 to 4-minute drive away. (Please note that the map pin does not indicate the exact location.) Whether you are working or unwinding, Casa Morpho provides a welcoming home away from home.
The Space
Set within a lush tropical environment, this newly built home includes:
- Three bedrooms
- Three full bathrooms and two half bathrooms
- A private, light-filled office
The layout features two bedrooms, a large full bathroom, and a half bathroom on the ground floor, along with the office. Upstairs is the main suite, complete with an attached full bathroom and a beautiful balcony overlooking the backyard.
The kitchen is fully equipped, and there is a spacious laundry room to enhance your comfort during your stay. Step outside to the inviting pool surrounded by a vibrant lawn, perfect for a casual game or a barefoot walk. You might even spot a family of howler monkeys swinging through the trees.
Additional outdoor amenities include:
- An outdoor shower
- Another half bathroom for convenience
Explore the grounds to discover various fruit trees and colorful flowering shrubs. A small path from the yard leads down to your private stream, which guides you to hidden waterfalls nearby.
The beach is approximately 3 kilometers away, less than a 5-minute drive. Walking is not recommended due to the lack of sidewalks and safe shoulders on the road.
Guest Access
Guests have full access to the entire home, the pool and surrounding grounds, as well as the covered carport.
Other Things to Note
- Renting a 4x4 vehicle is highly recommended.
- Although the driveway is flat, the gravel road leading to the property has a steep incline that is easier to navigate with a 4x4.
- A 4x4 vehicle is also essential for reaching many of Costa Rica’s top attractions.

Spacious, modern house, great pool and the local beaches around Samara are lovely but the wildlife the Howler monkeys and Coati’s that frequented the garden were the real stars of the stay!

Maison dans un cadre naturel magnifique à seulement 3 min en voiture du centre de Samara. Très spacieuse, nous étions 5 et chacun avait son indépendance. Très belle piscine (carrelage glissant attention) au milieu de la nature. Et le clou du spectacle ce sont les animaux des environs : des singes hurleurs en grand nombre dans les arbres du jardin sont un spectacle magique, mais aussi de nombreux insectes comme des criquets ou des grosses sauterelles, sans parler des lézards ! Bref un cadre exceptionnel dans lequel nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Great stay! We loved the privacy and the monkeys in the backyard! Great stay and still within 5 minutes of the beach and town. Will definitely be back next time we are in Costa Rica!

We just had the most lovely five nights stay at Casa Morpho. The place is super comfortable, modern, peaceful, and private. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was well- provisioned. The location is ideal for exploring Samara surrounding area. Highly recommend! Thanks so much for our memorable family vacation!

After a communication change I wasn’t expecting and a short gap before resolving, everything was smooth sailing. It’s an incredible peaceful site, clean and comfortable with every amenity you could want. We had the best time here and would highly recommend to anyone wanting close access to the beaches but a bit of privacy and sense of being set back from the tourist strip. Easy checkout and overall loved everything about it.

Overall, we had a fabulous stay at Chosun's place! We really enjoyed the AC, gorgeous surroundings, and howler monkeys! The beds were really comfortable. The layout of the place was also great since our kids had their own wing. A couple things to note if you visit in the dry (high) season: The well pump in our neighborhood was out when we arrived, so we were temporarily out of water. Ridley, the property manager, was exceptionally responsive and kind, going above and beyond to make sure we had water delivered when we needed it. Just be mindful of your water use, as it's a precious resource! It was also windy, which meant there was a *lot* of debris to clean out of the pool each day. A net is provided. You'll need to empty the filter too. We only wound up using the pool twice. Last, the path down to the stream was very overgrown, and the stream was almost dry. None of these things really impacted our stay. I'd book this place again just based on Ridley's attentiveness alone!

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Morpho. Extremely private, quiet, and beautiful. Loved being immersed in the jungle, cooling down in the pool, and also being a quick drive away from the town (3 mins). Perfect for our toddler (3 year old), fun for our one year old but had to be careful as the floors are hard tile, slippery surfaces, etc. We saw monkeys, birds, tons of insects, scorpions, spiders, butterflies, coatis, etc. Very entertaining and new surprises everyday. Including army of ants who clean the home (who would’ve guessed!). A true Guanacaste jungle environment! The house felt large and very comfortable for 6 people. Perfect for two families. Highly recommend having a vehicle in this area. Only complaint on our end was the amenities listed were not all available during our stay or available upon arrival. The hosts were very responsive and promptly arranged to our needs but I recommend triple checking with them prior to arrival. Tico time is a real thing. Gracias! Pura Vida!
