After leaving San Jose you pass through the ciudad (city) of Naranjo de Alajuela. You continue the vertical climb to more comfortable temperatures. Eighteen minutes later you arrive at the quaint village of Llano Bonito (beautiful flats) and in the centre of prime Arabica coffee bean growing country. Staying at the Petisa Coffee Plantation, you have a spectacular view of neighboring terraced farms and the Central Valley from an elevation of 1,700 M both day and night. Guest access A BRIEF WALKABOUT: After settling in, you will most certainly want to walk down the path through the coffee orchard. As you drop down you pass Limon and Naranjo (orange) trees. Arriving at the first shelf you look back up at the casitas and across the more expansive view of the valley to the cities of San Jose, Grecia, Atenas, and Escazu. Nos encantó pasar un mes y medio en finca la Petisa! Muchas gracias Nancy por su hospitalidad! Todo está cómo en las fotos, un lugar mágico. Solo hay un menos, hay demasiado ruido de la calle, pero eso también lo hace muy accesible con transporte público o privado.

Nancy es un encanto, siempre muy atentos ...el lugar me gustó mucho es privado, alejado de la ciudad el clima riquísimo, hay un restaurante a unos minutos donde comí un "Tablazo" que estaba de maravilla! la pizza más deliciosa que he degustado

This was our second stay with Senora Nancy and it was just as wonderful as the first. Nancy and Juan continued to treat us like family and we're so grateful to have met them both. The chalet is very spacious and has extremely fast internet that remained consistent throughout our stay. We loved being close to the town of Naranjo (15 mins) as well as within walking distance of El Mirador Restaurante. The best part of the experience is definitely the view - waking up to sunshine and mountains every day is indescribable. We'll see you again soon, Abuela!

Nice house with all the amenities. The view was beautiful. Nancy was friendly and helpful, and her dogs are lovely. There is a good restaurant for breakfast and lunch within walking distance. A car is recommended to explore the area.

This place is at a beautiful location and Nancy and Jose were kind to us. We would have given 5 stars but we had a couple things that were rough for us. Too many spiders, tarantulas specifically, and our puppy was attacked by her golden retrievers which cost us $300 in vet bills and lots of heartache. Luckily our little girl survived but she is only a couple of pounds so it was very sad. Lastly, there was mold and dust which caused us issues. The stay is great for a short time but for us we could not stay very long. But again Nancy and Jose are kind and hospitable but I wish they would have helped when their dogs caused so much pain to us.

We really enjoyed our stay, the house is lovely and clean. We appreciated especially that Juan took the time to show to us the coffee farm. Would definitely recommend and come again. Thank you.

We’ve stayed for 3 months and loved our experience! Nancy has a beautiful property she keeps clean and well tended. Haven’t had an issue with appliances not working and Nancy is very good about replacing laundry detergent or toiletries if you need refills. The property is gated and we feel safe letting our young kids run around.
