The view was stunning. Outdoor area was perfect for adults and children. Great for viewing nature and wildlife, the binoculars were an added bonus. We had a family of howlers that visited us almost daily throughout our stay. A/C in the bedrooms worked perfect. Kitchen was fully stocked. Any issues that we had were dealt with right away and host was very responsive. Would definitely recommend !

if you are looking for paradise BOOK THIS PLACE!!!!!! It was just perfect. The kitchen was the most stocked kitchen out of any airbnbs I have staying at. So much wildlife at the airbnb. Ac units in all bedrooms and the main living space just open all the beautiful windows and you won't miss it! the pool is just stunning and we'll maintained. we wouldn't not stay anywhere else. Other people stated how far they had to drive to get to their Airbnbs but this was secluded and very close to town! It was the best part of our trip!

We stayed at Michael's place for 6 nights during a family trip to Costa Rica. The house was nothing short of perfect. I was a little concerned from the last review but everything was in perfect order and we experienced no issues. I was initially concerned about no air-conditioning in the main living space as Im hot natured, but with the windows and fans going it was never an issue. The outdoor space was exceptional! We used the pool at night and used the outdoor dining and grill on multiple occasions. Dining during a rainstorm outdoors was quite the perfect evening. Every morning I had coffee on the deck and would enjoy the toucans, scarlet Macaws, green parrots and howler monkeys directly from the patio. Along with frogs, butterflys etc. it's an amazing setting. 4x4 is A MUST. You can make it from San Jose without. But after you leave the highway you need it for the house, restaurants and most activities we drive to off the main road. 100% would stay here again.

The house is beautiful and in a fantastic location (although challenging to get to), and we appreciated the owner’s responsiveness and partial refund after sharing some concerns. The pool was wonderful and the view is incredible. That said, several issues impacted our stay. The home wasn’t cleaned thoroughly—there were many dead bugs and visible mold in the washing machine. The kitchen area also smelled terribly, especially in the drawers and cabinets. The listing suggested AC in the main living area, but only bedrooms were cooled, making common areas uncomfortably warm. One bedroom was also unusable due to loud AC noises every 10–15 minutes, forcing us to rearrange sleeping arrangements. Screens on the patio doors were broken as others shared previously, so we couldn’t enjoy a breeze without letting bugs in. With better upkeep and clearer listing details, this could be a great rental.

Awesome location with tons of privacy. Driveway exceedingly steep, more explicit cautionary would be helpful. Kitchen well stocked, but various items were not properly maintained (lock box, vacuum cleaner, screen doors).

Casa La Vista perfectly suited our needs and met our expectations. Natasha, our co-host was professional, courteous, attentive and friendly. We were entertained by multiple sightings of toucans and other beautiful birds, monkeys, butterflies, hummingbirds, kinkajous, owls and amazing sunsets. Would highly recommend and will stay at Casa La Vista again.
