Wood bungalow

We absolutely loved our stay here. Inside the cottage is better than the pictures. Loved the outdoor shower and lounge area. If you have bug or insect phobia then this isn’t the place for you. We woke up at 5 am to howler monkeys screeching on our tree tops which was amazing. The coolness inside the cottage depends on the night. I felt hot one night and got used to the rest of the nights. Overall I loved the experience and will come back

Such a special place to stay in Costa Rica! Highly recommend. Sophie is very sweet and helpful as well as staff are lovely. I think it’s safe to say you’re guaranteed to see the monkeys here, I saw them 4x in 3days!

Beautiful spot in our stay in Playa Grande! Loved the feel of being "outdoors" but had the comfort of everything we needed. Would recommend!!

An incredibly lush place. It was the perfect way to start our trip to Costa Rica. The breakfast tasted wonderful too. It is glamping though- so make sure you are comfortable with a few bugs being around!

We absolutely LOVED our stay here at the beach bungalow!!! The absolute stunning garden area is like a fairy forest where you will find a wonderful pool, many areas to relax and your own private little bungalow away from the rest of town! The outdoor shower was such a highlight and the whole vibe is so perfect!! We will ABSOLUTELY be coming back!! Sophie was such a sweetheart and all the amazing folks at the property were so kind and lovely!! Would recommend to everyone and all looking for a perfect beach adventure tucked away from Tamarindo!!!

We had the most magnificent stay at Flor y Bambu! It’s a beautiful property tucked away about 5 mins from Playa Grande & tons of amazing restaurants. When we first stepped foot onto the property we were amazed- it is a beautiful labyrinth! Our casita and outdoor set up was just hands down incredible and so nice- we even got to watch a rain storm, the smells and sounds were so peaceful. I could go on and on, but do yourself a favor and just come and stay- you won’t be disappointed. My boyfriend and I began our trip here and we loved it so much we decided to double back and end our trip there. Thank you Sophie & your amazing staff for having us! We hope to return 😊

Staying here was like finding a secret hideout of serenity. It was glamping at its finest- it was bare necessities offered in a way that somehow felt both earthy and luxurious. The flowers everywhere, comfy hammocks, and curated jungle atmosphere made it a magical refuge from any touristy things we might have done during the day, and waking up felt like a gateway to wonder. Breakfast every morning was delicious, peaceful, and communal when you wanted it to be. Sophie was able to help provide rides or insights about beach spots, coffee spots, restaurants- whatever you need. She’s clearly well connected in the surrounding communities and it benefits the guests tremendously. We can’t wait to come back!
