The Space
Villa Petricor is a brand-new custom residence offering a perfect blend of modern comforts and the serene beauty of the Mayan jungle. Designed by internationally acclaimed architects Co-Lab, Joshua Beck, and Joanna Gomes, this architecturally distinctive home harmonizes seamlessly with its natural surroundings.
Upon arrival, you will notice how the house integrates effortlessly into the environment. Walking through the courtyard, you are welcomed by a crystal-clear pool that is deep enough for a refreshing swim. The pool features a wrap-around swim step ideal for sitting and enjoying a cool drink. Soft loungers are positioned to catch the afternoon sun.
Inside, the massive front door opens to a space with 12-foot ceilings and numerous arched windows, filling the main living area and kitchen with abundant natural light. A round dining table comfortably accommodates large groups, perfect for dinners or casual gatherings with friends.
The home includes two master bedrooms facing opposite directions, each furnished with a king-size bed and a full bathroom. Natural light filters in from above, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of bathing in a cenote. Both masters have small, private outdoor spaces ideal for morning coffee or reading.
Modern conveniences such as a laundry area with a washing machine, dryer, and iron are also provided.
Upstairs features the standout master suite, designed as a long archway with opposing windows that welcome the sunrise and sunset. The suite includes a California king bed on a platform, with floor up-lighting casting unique shadows. The open-air master bathroom boasts a large rain shower that refreshes after a day of adventure. Small overlapping platforms lead up to a sun deck.

- Check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out is 10:00 AM. Flexible arrangements may be possible upon request if no same-day guests are scheduled.
- Smoking is not allowed inside the house but permitted outside by the pool area.
- Construction will take place next door from August 2025 to June 2026, Monday through Friday, between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM. While some noise may be heard, the garden, house, and pool area remain completely private and unseen by neighbors.
- All external guests must be registered with the host prior to entering the property.

Wow!! Such a beautiful place to stay. We enjoyed so much of our visit just merely existing in this space. Our Concierge, Dani, was so helpful. She answered all of our questions quickly and offered great recommendations. We had a great stay and words can’t describe the beauty of this home. If I could go back in time, though, I would bring a cozy pair of slippers for wearing around on the concrete floors.

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb. We booked the private chef, bartender, and in-house massage, which made the experience feel so special. The house itself was gorgeous, even better than the photos, and in a great location with a few restaurants within walking distance. The hosts also connected us with a driver, which made getting to and from the beach area seamless without worrying about taxis. On top of that, they even arranged to have groceries stocked for us, so we felt completely pampered and taken care of the entire trip. They really have thought of everything, and we would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious stay.
