The location is spectacular with beach on one side, lagoon on the other. The pool was well-maintained and clean, with shallow areas perfect for kids and a deeper middle with a small waterfall. The palapa out front had a great view, my wife and I spent mornings there with coffee and evenings with beers, watching the ocean. The kids explored the beach and found tons of sand dollars. The house matched the photos with plenty of space. Beds were comfortable, everything was clean. Jay was friendly during our brief overlap before he headed back to the US, and Jefferson (the caretaker) was fantastic, super helpful with local recommendations and lent us boogie boards the kids loved. The Pacific coast water is rough, but that's normal for the entire area. One thing to note: the property is about 20 minutes down a dirt road from the main road near Parrita. We loved this because it meant total privacy and a quiet beach with almost no other people around, but be aware of the distance.

Great place. Quiet and peaceful. Beds were comfy. The shower was wonderful. We saw monkeys in the yard and rays in the ocean.

Loved it. Not much close to do but I assure you that that’s the point. Peace and quiet. Loved the beach and my son and I body boarded every day. Don’t be thrown off by the reviews that say don’t go in the water. Be smart about it and use common sense. We were in water up to our chests no problem and only went in when the tide was rising and enjoyed some big waves. Ask Jefferson for advice on times to go in if you are nervous and he’ll let you know. Pool was great too. Manuel Antonio NP was over touristy and we regretted going. Was only thing in CR over 2 weeks that we regretted. Should have stayed at beach house for the day. Take advantage of having Jefferson and his mom prepare food for you. It was amazing. Great experience.

We had an amazing stay! It was peaceful and quiet and the perfect way to get away from it all. We loved spending our mornings in the palapa drinking coffee and reading books. We went for walks on the beautiful, nearly empty beach in the afternoons. Jay and the caretakers, Luz and Jefferson, were wonderful to work with and took care of everything. I cannot recommend this place enough! We didn't want to leave!

We had a really nice stay. The bungalow Is across the street from a secluded stretch of beach which is ideal for going for a swim or a walk along the water. There is a nice little pool behind the bungalow. Jefferson was always available to answer questions or help with things. The place was super clean, exactly as described, and the great place to relax for a while.

Fantastic stay! We came here for the last part of our trip to relax and decompress after a week of adventure, and it was the perfect atmosphere for that. The view of the waves from the palapa was stunning and incredibly soothing. We also loved spending time in the pool. Jefferson was amazing—he helped us arrange massages and even had dinner prepared for us one evening. The whole fried fish was absolutely delicious! I’d come back again in a heartbeat.

We spent a wonderful three nights at Jay's place. The location was perfect for what we were looking for. The home is on a property with two other homes, but still offers the privacy we were looking for. The home is right across from the beach. My boys and I spent time in the water boogey boarding. The waves can get high and you have to be respectful of the water at all times. I spent the mornings going for a jog on the beach which was great! The home itself had everything we needed. The best part of the stay was Jefferson and his mom, who are the wonderful caretakers of the property. They were extremely helpful and answered any questions or requests we had. I highly recommend ordering food from them! Our only regret was not ordering more meals from them. The food is homemade and delivered by Jefferson. Overall a wonderful stay and we can't wait to return!
