Catamaran Kismet, come play!

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour de 6 nuits sur le catamaran de Shawn. Ludy nous a préparé de bons repas. Shawn nous a fait visiter plusieurs îles paradisiaques des SanBlas. Shawn était à l’écoute et nous proposait des activités chaque jours: apnée, kayak, plage. Vraiment une belle semaine.

Nos sentimos como en casa! Fue una experiencia única e inolvidable, volveríamos sin dudas! Las islas que visitamos una más linda que la otra. Shawn y Ludy los mejores anfitriones, súper atentos en todo momento, la comida 5 estrellas! Estuvimos 4 días y si podíamos nos quedábamos más días! Pasamos navidad juntos, una noche hermosa! Hicimos snorkel, usamos el kayak y más actividades! Un viaje soñado!!! Ojalá vernos pronto nuevamente! Gina y Jony :)

The San Blas archipelago contains hundreds of islands. We visited only a handful, yet each felt infinite. Shawn inhabits his catamaran the way a librarian inhabits her library: with quiet mastery over a world that seems impossibly vast. Ludi prepared our meals with a care that suggested ritual. We brought our daughter, who is three and exists in that liminal state where memory has not yet calcified into narrative. Perhaps she will not remember the stars we watched from the deck, arranged in constellations whose names we did not know, or watching the clouds and imagining their personifications. Perhaps she will... we hope she will. We snorkeled among sharks and shipwrecks. And on one private island, with Shawn's discreet coordination, I proposed. She said yes. Time, which had felt suspended, resumed. We will return. Thank you Shawn and Ludi for everything.

Vom ersten Kontakt bis zur Abreise können wir Shawn und seiner Frau vom Herzen 5 Sterne geben (leider gibt es nicht mehr zur Auswahl). Zwei so herzliche Gastgeber die mit Fürsorge ihre Gäste empfangen und die Reise zu den San Blas Inseln zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis werden lassen. Kulinarisch könnte man es nicht besser treffen. Shari ist eine sehr gute Köchin und geht auf jeden Wunsch ein. Jeden Tag hat sie uns mit 3 Mahlzeiten verzaubert. Shawn liest einem ebenso jeden Wunsch von den Lippen ab und ist jeden Tag mit uns in die Unterwasserwelt eingetaucht. Ob zum schnorcheln vom Boot, oder an einem anderen Riff, einen Besuch auf der vorgelagerten Insel, einen Ausflug mit den SUB oder dem Kajak... Leider vergeht die Zeit wie im Flug.... Wir können es jedem wärmstens empfehlen Shawn und Shari zuhause auf Ihrem Katamaran zu besuchen und eine unbeschreiblich schöne und unvergessliche Zeit mit ihnen zu verbringen...

The Kismet is the perfect way to see the stunning San Blas islands! From waking up to the most incredible views, relaxing on the bean bags at the front of the boat with a fresh coffee to incredible snorkelling spots, this is a bucket list experience! Shawn and Shari were wonderful hosts and spoilt us with lots of delicious food too- we had the best time and would highly recommend!

Shawn and Shari made us feel right at home in theirs. Kismet is a gorgeous boat — clean, spacious, and full of treasures from their adventures. They were super supportive on the logistical side of things. Warm and generous on the hospitality side. They are a wealth of knowledge! We learned so much from them while eating delicious food and taking in as much of Guna Yala as we could in our short time there. Muchas gracias!!

Our week with Shawn and Shari was AMAZING! A vacation of a lifetime: relaxing, inspiring, beautiful and filled with adventures. The San Blas Islands are stunning, with snorkeling to match the best we've experienced in the Caribbean. The star-gazing at night was "heavenly." What made our Kismet experience extra special were the warm and wonderful hosts, who ensured we had a wonderful time. Shari's cooking was delicious & abundant, and she served a variety of tasty meals all week, accommodating a gluten-free request, and creatively making meals from available fresh fish, meat, fruits, and veggies. Shawn navigated us to an assortment of picture perfect islands, and led us on daily snorkeling adventures. We were delighted to see rays, squid, sharks, & an assortment of other fish & incredible coral. So much fun! We loved experiencing boat life first-hand, and learning about conservation (e.g.: power & water) and safety. We felt pampered and are grateful to new friends Shawn & Shari :-)

Beautiful experience, Shawn and Shari are excellent hosts, we had a great time. We had the catamaran just for us, super comfortable and clean. Shari is an excellent cook and very fun, Shawn is a very good captain, he knows the area very well and we had a comfortable and safe navigation. We had a great time on New Year's Eve, we had lobster and crab for dinner! The sea in the area is calm and warm, we spent a lot of time in the water! We recommend this lovely experience.

A Wonderful Experience on the Kismet Catamaran with Shawn and Shari From the moment we booked, the communication with Shawn and Shari was smooth and easy. They answered all our questions quickly, which made us feel well-prepared for our trip. Once aboard the Kismet Catamaran, we were warmly welcomed and felt comfortable right away. Shawn took us on fantastic snorkeling expeditions around the islands, allowing us to see some truly beautiful spots. We also had kayaks and paddleboards available whenever we wanted, which added to the fun and relaxation of the trip. Shari’s cooking was a real highlight—each meal was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, making our time aboard even more enjoyable. But what made the stay extra special were Shawn and Shari themselves. They are truly kind and welcoming people, and it was a pleasure getting to know them. They made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We highly recommend it!
