Our stay at Kay's casita was just what we needed! Kay is so friendly and the Painted Pony Ranch is so beautiful and peaceful. We felt right at home. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. On the first day we had fresh juice, coffee, fruit, yogurt, blueberry muffins, eggs, bacon and bagels! On the second day we had all of that plus french toast! So amazing! You will want to have your own vehicle as the ranch is a little far form the action, but it's the still near everything. Huacas is just down the road for groceries, and our new favortie Japanese restaurant, Buki's! You can also access many beaches and find lot's of amazing things to do in the area. Kay's house was a perfect place to come back to after a long day exploring. Thank you Kay!

Our stay with Kay was wonderful! The room was cozy and had everything we needed. The ranch is beautiful and easy to find. It is also located ideally, close to supermarkets, restaurants and the beach. We really feel like we got to enjoy the amazing biodiversity of Costa Rica. I was also able to take horse riding lessons with Esteban every morning and they were truly exceptional. It was an absolute pleasure to be taught and learn with such passion for the equestrian art.

What a fantastic experience and stay we had at Painted Pony Guest Ranch. From the moment we drove onto the property we felt right at home and so welcomed. Kay and the pups greeted us and showed us around the property. The room was comfortable and spacious. The meals were spectacular and so fresh, right from the garden and farm. Esteban and the team working with the horses were very attentive and placed us with equally fitting horses based on our comfort and experience levels. The trail rides were like a scene from a movie. Sprawling properties and great trails and the rides weren't too short or long. Driving to the local beaches was simple and Kay helped with excellent recommendations. Absolutely perfect, everything.

The Painted Pony Ranch is a beautiful and peaceful place and I recommend to others. Friendly hosts, tasty breakfast and very nice accommodations. Did not get a chance to try horseride but imagine it would have been excellent.
