Montezuma Beach House on the Beach

I can’t do this listing justice with just pen to paper, which is a shame! There’s something rugged and wild while simultaneously serene and cozy about this home and its surroundings. You can spend mornings watching the sunrise on the, for all intents and purposes, private beach while drinking fresh coffee bc the beach is just steps away from your porch. Wash off your feet in the outdoor pelican shower and say hi to all your new wildlife friends (agnoti’s, a cat!!!, monkeys, coati’s, squirrels, lizards, birds!) while you take a dip in the pool. After a nap in the hammock you can walk down the beach into town or over to Ylang Ylang for the best shrimp you’ve ever had, two more property cats (Minnie and Mancha) and a lovely soul named Patricia who will give you a great big bear hug after your meal. Sore muscles?? Not at Karen’s. Just call Daniella and schedule all your massage and spa needs; she comes to you at the properties white gauze draped gazebo!! Will absolutely be back!

Fantastic host! Communication was great and helpful. Great location! On the beach, private and tranquil setting. We love the pool and the grounds. It’s right on the trial to Playa Granda for surfing. You cant go wrong staying here. Kicking back In a hammock with a cold beverage and listening to the ocean is the perfect ending to a day of playing at the beach.

Love, love, love this beautiful piece of paradise in Costa Rica! Karen's place is wonderful, and the team members who welcome you and make sure you are comfortable are amazing! We had everything and more than what we needed here, with great welcome! Montezuma is an amazing place as well, so good for your soul.

This home is such an amazing place to stay. Wonderful location, steps from the surf, amazing windows, so much natural light, amazing views from inside and the covered porch, comfortable furniture, beds. Truly one of the most memorable places. Cleaning staff and Karen are super attentive , responsive and nice. Thx you.

We cannot say enough about this magical slice of heaven. The perfect setting for a couple, a family or single traveler looking to get off the beaten path a stones throw from the beach. Karen has always been super helpful when accommodating our needs. We hit the organic farmers market in town, caught the fish truck and bought some fresh caught Dorado and Camarones and grilled out on the patio while drinking a cold beer and listening to the waves crash on the beach. AC was cold, shower was hot, pool was clean and ground were absolutely beautiful. We highly recommend staying at Karen’s. A++ as usual. Thank you Karen!!!

Karen was extremely thorough and had staff on the premises ready to help us if we needed anything. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable and the location was exactly what we were looking for. The house is a located on a secluded Montezuma beach front. You can hear the waves crashing while you relax on their many hammocks and balconies. Clean, comfortable, great beaches, awesome food in a small quaint little beach town. Highly recommend.

Utroligt charmerende sted, med dejlig beliggenhed og rigt dyreliv. Pænt og rent. Søde og hjælpsomme medarbejdere, som prøvede at hjælpe, selvom vi ikke taler spansk. Eneste minus er at der ikke var Air condition på det øverste værelse, det var for varmt at sove det, selvom alle blæser var igang.

Karen’s place is special. We had an amazing time there. You can hear the waves from every room in the house! The property is beautiful, close to town, and the pool and overall atmosphere is amazing! Karen and her staff were super helpful and very friendly. I’d go back again in a heartbeat! And hope to do so soon. Absolute perfection.

We want to go back, I think that says it all. proximity to the beach, restaurants and shopping facilities all within walking distance made for a very relaxing vacation. falling asleep to the sound of ocean waves gave me a deep sleep til morning, when i sipped tea on the beach watching the sun rise. a brilliant conversation with a local blue Magpie sitting at my shoulder set the path for the day.
