Our extended family of 9 thoroughly enjoyed our stay in paradise at Joe’s home! The innkeepers were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating (you will need to use Google Translate if you are not fluent in Spanish to communicate with them). The house was beautiful, clean, and spacious. The amazing pool and Rancho bar area was our favorite place to hang. Having the gorgeous, basically private beach directly out your back door was definitely the best part! The sunsets cannot be beat! We also enjoyed exploring the area (you will definitely need a 4x4 vehicle), and eating at El Barco Restaurant a few times, which is just down the road. Do not book this if you’re looking for an exhilarating, adventure/excursion packed trip, but if you’re looking to relax and enjoy the true Pura Vida lifestyle, this is definitely your place! Thank you, Joe, and innkeepers for a memorable week in paradise!

Fantastic place for a family vacation. The pool area is excellent, and we absolutely loved the BBQ and bar space. The sunsets were unforgettable, and Coyote Beach is one of my favorite beaches in Costa Rica—having it so close was a real treat. Silvia and Mauricio, the innkeepers, were outstanding hosts. Everything was perfectly taken care of, and nothing was left to chance. They were always attentive, proactive, and truly on top of every detail. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Perfect place to get away for the holidays. It was large enough for our whole family and the inn keeper they have hired to look after the property was extremely helpful with getting a fishing trip setup for us while here. We look forward to staying at Jose's again. Thanks Jose!

This place is great. Our host Jose Luis was always responsive and helpful. Mauricio and Sylvia at the house were always willing to help with whatever we needed. We did have Sylvia cook and it worked out well. We opted to have her get the groceries before we got there. Being able to relax and not worrying about cooking for everyone was a real bonus. We went fishing with the local fisherman. We caught fish and got pretty close to some whales too. Massages can be procured at the house and are wonderful. We did the horseback riding at the beach and it was very enjoyable too. We took a day to go to Samara, it was a lot of driving, very touristy, but there are beautiful beaches along the way. The unpopulated beach at the house is amazing. The waves were a little too big for the senior citizens to get in, but the teenagers loved it. The house and pool were spacious and clean. There are small grocery stores about 15 minutes away. We would definitely stay here again.

Pura vida at its max. Pure relaxation, comfort, safety. Zeidy’s food absolute perfection, the kids kept saying it wasn’t even real, calling it dream food. Pool is bigger than what the pictures show, beach wonderful, restaurant down the road a neat little touch for a dinner. We got horses and massages right at the house. The team is fantastic and Jose was wonderful to line it all up. Our private driver that Jose arranged was just wonderful and accommodating to any needs. We would give 10 stars if we could, just like other reviews. Stay here. Or don’t, which will clear up more space in the calendar for us to come back :) :)

This home and our host made our vacation in Costa Rica luxurious and peaceful. We opted to have Zeidy cook our dinners and grocery shop before our arrival, and she is an excellent cook and a wonderful person. The connection with her throughout the trip was really special. This home is beautiful. The location is stunning. We wanted a peaceful, ocean retreat and that’s what we got.

This was has a lasting memory in our hearts. It was utterly perfect. The house, the pool, the beach, and the peace and joy it brought everyone makes this place magical. Zeidy and Henry, the onsite caretakers make the house a 12/10! Zeidy cooked a few dinners for us as an optional add on and her food was amazing! We are already planning the next time we can come back to this exact spot.

Perfect vacation! Host was very helpful with everything we needed to get to the property and enjoy our stay. Zeidy was the star of our stay. She prepared every meal for us and it was absolutely worth the money. We like to stay somewhere different every time we return to Costa Rica because we are trying to learn the country in preparation for a future real estate purchase, but we will most likely stay at Jose’s place again. It was just perfect. We didn’t do much other than head to a few of the Mercados and the restaurant at the end of the street, but it was a very nice area. We took route 160 to Samara on our way out and headed north to Nicoya to head back to the airport. We are so glad we did. The road is a little rough at times but the views of the coasts from the mountains and the off the record waterfalls we found were totally worth the extra effort. Again, Zeidy was the star of the show for us. If we could have taken her with us, we would have. A special thank you to her and Jose!
