Fruit houses

We stayed at Casa Banana for 5 nights. It's a great location. In the jungle but very close to two different beaches and downtown Samara. The highlight of our stay watching howler monkeys and eating outside in the banana hut. The house is lovely. It has everything needed and Dorothée is a very generous and responsive host. Samara is such a funky cool town. Highly recommend.

My family and I stayed at Casa Banana for a month. It is a dreamy jungle oasis surrounded with howler monkeys and other critters including an occasional Coati sighting. The living space glass doors slide into a pocket in the wall so the inside and outside are one. The kitchen has plenty of utensils and cookware for an extended stay. Coffee and spices etc were provided. There is a dedicated work space upstairs although the internet connection upstairs is spotty. It was better closer to the router. The location is ideal. It is a 0.6 mile walk from the nearest beach. We ended up renting a golf cart so we could get around more easily but also spent a lot of days walking to the beach. We enjoyed the weekly farmer's market on Saturdays and enjoyed the hike to Playa Izquierda where we spotted an anteater and floated in some tide pools. Our host was very responsive and helpful. She answered all of my questions about the area and provided weekly cleaning services for longer stays.

Ein sehr schönes Haus mit einer tollen Ausstattung. Es waren sehr viele Gewürze, Tee und Kaffee da, so dass man problemlos kochen konnte. Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll gestaltet und schön renoviert worden. Auf Fragen wurde zeitnah geantwortet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden definitiv wiederkommen.

Beautiful modernist home minutes from the beach by car. Host was Friendly and responsive. Really wonderful experience.

The place was very nice - loved to be able to open the big door and have the open air in the house. The AC in the bedrooms worked great. We heard howler monkeys every day and that was very cool. It was our first time using a french press coffee maker and we loved it. Beautiful setting. Responsive and helpful host. Kitchen was very well stocked. I would definitely recommend this place and the host.

Great place! Peaceful and lovely surroundings

Very nice, in style, clean, fully equipped and quiet/calm place. Walking distance to Samara beach (10 mins) and to the town following the beach (another 10- 15 mins). Excellent communication with the hosts who are very reactive. Parking a bit tight though, but still plenty of space next to the parking area. We are a family of four and the place was a very good choice for us overall. As a an added plus you may see a coatie roaming on the terrace.

Schönes Unterkunft mitten im Grünen! Die Affen in den Bäumen kann man vom Bett aus am Morgen beobachten 🫶🏼🌴 Und es ist nicht weit zum Strand. Es waren schöne 4 Nächte!

We hebben enorm genoten van onze tijd in 'banana' huis. Wát een heerlijk huis is het! Super modern, stijlvol, elk detail klopt, je kunt merken dat het met veel liefde is ontworpen. Dat maakt je verblijf nog fijner. Daarnaast zijn de verhuurders milieu-bewust, wat ik een pluspunt vind. De keuken is volledig ingericht, fijn dat er ook wat koffie staat of bijv. kruiden. Beide badkamers zijn mooi en voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt. Ook de aanwezigheid van een wasmachine is fijn (gedeeld, in een aparte ruimte, met de appartementen naast je). Het terras is prettig, in de schaduw en er is veel te zien. We hebben brulapen voorbij zien komen, een neusbeer en verschillende vogels. Het is op minder dan 10 minuten lopen van een strand, en zo'n 10 minuten lopen naar het centrum van Samara. Op 3 minuutjes vanaf het appartement zit een kleine supermarkt. Goede wifi, fijne bedden, heel prettig contact met de verhuurders. Prijs-kwaliteit uitstekend (we waren blij verrast!).
