The Space
Peacock Country Estate is a private villa located in the Adventure Zone, just 10 minutes from downtown. Originally built for an aristocrat, this classic estate has been modernized and now consists of a single large building formed by enclosing three original structures arranged in a "C" shape around a central courtyard and garden.
The estate sits on five acres of lush grounds filled with wildlife, numerous fruit trees—including guanabana, banana, starfruit, mango, avocado, and papaya—and vibrant flower beds featuring bird of paradise and ginger. Shaded reading nooks are nestled beneath towering palm trees and hundred-foot-high fig trees.
Inside, the former courtyard has been transformed into a spacious, air-conditioned Great Room that is exceptionally large—twice the size of a typical first home. The villa offers seven bedrooms accommodating up to 21 guests and includes four bathrooms. Each room has individual temperature control and Smart TVs throughout.
The furniture is custom-designed and handcrafted from locally grown cedar. Additional amenities include brand new gym equipment and a recently re-covered pool table.

We had a great time !! the house is close to all the different activities of the La Fortuna area, the volcano, the zip lining, the thermal waters, the waterfall, etc. At the same time it is very private and quiet. Christian was a great helping us in the organizing of activities and understanding the area. This house has many outdoor areas like a futbol field, a volleyball court and my grandkids' favorite, the small river where they had so much fun! Thank you very much for these lovely days.

We had a really great time staying at Peacock Country Estate. It was very helpful that they were able to book and manage tours/excursions for us, saved a great deal of time. The house was perfect for what we were looking for!

We enjoyed our stay at the property. The home is very spacious with lots of indoor and outdoor amenities. The beds were comfortable and effective AC in each room. The pool, volleyball area, and soccer field were great and well used by the kids. The river was interesting, though farther and harder to reach than we anticipated. The property is quite large, but as others have commented there seems to be a lot of work being done on it. While spacious - privacy was limited by workers being present somewhere on the property each day. That said, they did steer clear as best they could and interruption to our vacation was limited to a couple of days of excessive noise - which was stopped when we raised the issue. There’s a small store/gas station nearby which proved great for essentials and last minute needs. We took up the offer of arranged dinners for 8 nights and couldn’t be happier. Delicious food, on schedule, no prep or cleanup. Amazing! The chocolate cafe/tour next door is a must visit!

We had a great family vacation at this beautiful property. The setup is ideal as the great room is large enough for everyone to spend lots of quality time together. There's a pool table, large TV and lots of seating. The location worked well for us and was about 15 to 20 minutes from most of the activities we decided upon (which William and Laura helped arrange). I would highly recommend William and Laura's place for a get together with a large group.

For the price paid, it was absolutely not worth it. There was no laundry facilities inside the house, kitchen was very outdated and no shampoo. For 6 bedrooms, only 4 bathrooms were available, and one of them was in the master’s. We stayed at 5 different AirBbs and 2 hotels on this trip, this was the most expensive and outdated place.

We had a great time in the area & this location was close enough to La Fortuna for an easy drive but far enough away to not be super busy traffic. I recommend taking a chocolate making tour at Eden next door. We really enjoyed that! Annia's Empanadas down the road were AMAZING. The house space was large enough for our big family & has lots of amenities. The kids really enjoyed the volleyball court & swimming pool. We had a great time there as a family. The things I would say weren't A+ are a few maintenance issues & the random people who show up to the house on the front of the property. It's a little weird looking out of the front & seeing random people coming & going & parking in the driveway spots when you are staying at a home. There was a roof leak over the night stand in the room we stayed in & it messed up my husband's phone & the tv remote in the room during the frequent rains. We didn't know of the leak until after we woke up to the puddle, sadly. Overall great stay, recommend

“Peacock County Estates” is a really beautiful property with a lot of surrounding open grounds & lush green gardens. You get a very peaceful feeling when you stay here. The landscaping is very beautiful, it was a perfect size villa for a our large family of 22 people. William & Laura were very helpful & honoured some of our requests quickly.
