Open Key - Playa Mujeres; stayed here with my family of 6 for 7 days during Aug 2024. Overall the experience was good because the place is beautiful, proximity to the beach and amenities are nice. I traveled with 2 kids and can say that is safe. Additional information that I hope it helps you to get a better idea about this place: Pros: -Beautiful beach nearby the Airbnb -Various pools that never felt crowded -Big pool for kids -Various jacuzzis for adults -Pool water always warm -Parking available very close to the apartment -Very safe place -Small water and dryer that helps to keep swimsuits ready Cons: -No food available after 5ish pm (No Uber eats, the only restaurant nearby closes on Tuesday and local places don’t deliver) -Airbnb was not clean and short in supplies like 1 small paper towel and 1 trash bag for all my stay. - transportation, you definitely need to rent a car -during my stay there were construction workers during the day that made my kids naps harder

This was an amazing place and I would recommend it to everyone. Just DO NOT USE THEIR DRYER. The last day we used their washer and all our clothes that went into the dryer are now stained. It looks like brown metal. We thought it was just one t shirt, but once we unpacked and were in the process of placing everything back, we noticed that shirts, shorts, pants and a sweater were all stained with something that won’t come off even with the strongest stain removals. I’m throwing away 9 pieces of clothes that we bought to go to the beach.

We didn't want to stay at an all-exclusive hotel so we were so glad that we were able to find this large Airbnb. Our condo was amazing in a beautiful private community. The location was perfect—just steps from the beach, pool, and the store. The condo was beautifully furnished and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay for our family of 6. Sarah was responsive and accommodating to all of our needs and questions. She also gave us some great local tips. Highly recommend it for a relaxing beach getaway! It is not close to downtown or the hotel district so you would need a car to get around and watch out for the cops!

This Airbnb is a great spot for its value. It’s extremely private. Wish there were more restaurants nearby but the beach club restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and early dinner.

muy agradable el departamento oo que me sacó de onda que está mal anunciado me hablaba de un ph pero no era un ph y hablé con el anfitrion y me dijo que es culpa de la plataforma que estaba mal anunciado espero que lo resuelvan lo demás fue fabuloso e increíble el edificio y departamento muy lindos muy agradable todo y muy amables siempre con toda las solicitudes resolvían inmediatamente

My family and I had a great stay! The place was beautiful and looked just like the pictures. Rooms were very spacious and had nice furnishings. It was nice that every room had a bathroom so we could all get ready at the same time! The pools and beach were just a few minutes’ walk from the apartment. It was very peaceful being somewhat away from the hustle of the city. Since the complex is double gated, we always felt safe. Angie was great with any questions we had during the trip! I will say, if you plan on leaving the immediate area it is beneficial to rent a car. We would definitely stay here again!

The photos give zero justice to the actual location! I was so pleased with the location and views. It was so spacious and perfect for a family gathering or trip. There was plenty of security which was reassuring. The walk to the beach was so pleasant. Luckily there is a restaurant and deli. With the covid restrictions they do close early so I recommend some groceries in case you want to eat after 6pm and don't want to venture out. The location is isolated so there is no walking to local restaurants or bars. Our host was extremely helpful and even scheduled for us to have our covid tests done for us in the Condo and a ride to the airport. We did have our own rental vehicle so we ventured out to the nearest ferry to island hop to Isla de mujeres. The restaurant, although convenient and the prices being fair, was not so flavorful or fresh. On my last night, I ordered the Surf and Turf. The meat was dry, no flavor and same for the lobster tails. Major fail.

I’ve never had such a beautiful and easy vacation. I’ll hopefully be coming back soon because it was absolutely memorable!
