The Space
Villa Las Brisas, situated in Vistas del Pacifico within the tranquil beach town of Playa Panama, has been a favored vacation rental in Guanacaste for more than 25 years. This villa offers four bedrooms, an outdoor rancho, and a private infinity-edge pool with stunning views of Culebra Bay, providing everything needed for a memorable getaway.
Designed and built in the late 1990s by the late Phil Bonner—a Hall of Fame drag racer for Ford Motor Company who later became a respected home builder—the villa has remained in the family since its creation. Each evening, guests can enjoy breathtaking sunsets over the Gulf of Papagayo.
While the villa shows some mild wear consistent with its age, including a few kitchen cabinets that do not close fully and some older but functional furniture, these are mostly cosmetic and should not significantly impact your stay. The photos provided represent the villa’s current condition.
Guest Access
Guests have full, private access to Villa Las Brisas. Additionally, the community pool located at the bottom of Vistas del Pacifico is available for all residents and guests to use at no extra charge.
Amenities and Services
Housekeeping is a common and valued service in Costa Rica. Our trusted housekeeper, Yoco, has been with us for over 25 years and is typically on-site almost every morning except Sundays, from about 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. If you arrive on a Sunday, she will not be present on Monday unless your stay is only one night.
Yoco is happy to assist with preparing breakfast and brunch items such as guacamole, fruit dishes, and Gallo pinto, provided the ingredients are supplied. She also manages all cleaning tasks and can wash, dry, and fold laundry upon request. A customary tip is $20 or more per day. Please note that Yoco’s schedule may change without prior notice. If you prefer no housekeeping service, please specify this when booking.
Our gardener, Brayan, visits every weekday morning to maintain the pool and care for the gardens.
Location and Climate
Villa Las Brisas is located in the northwest corner of Costa Rica, along the Pacific Coast in Guanacaste province. The area features a dry tropical forest climate.
Costa Rica is widely regarded as a premier ecotourism destination. Regardless of when you visit, daytime temperatures generally range from the upper 80s to low 90s Fahrenheit, with nighttime temperatures in the mid-70s.

The house garden and swimming poll are beautiful. The view is stunning, the atmosphere there is amazing. On the other hand, the house needs maintenance, towels are very old and damaged, the main bedroom’s toilet didn’t work. Sofas are old. The house only has one television and it didn’t work.

View is insane and Preston was a very responsive host. He took care of any issues we had immediately and ensure we were taken care of. This is an older house so it was its quirks. I will mention it was not as clean as we may have expected/wanted. Kitchen was a little messy and dishes were not always clean. Pool is nice but fountain does not work. Overall we enjoyed our time there

Villa las Brisas was an amazing vacation home for our family. The pool and the view are as amazing as the photos make it out to be. Bedrooms were roomy and comfortable. Preston was proactive in his communication and very responsive with questions about the property and surrounding area during the lead up to the trip. Pura Vida!

We had such a lovely stay at this Villa and Preston was quick to respond and helpful with any queries we had. The views were incredible and the gardens are beautifully maintained. Only downside was that there wasn’t much equipment and dishes to cook with in the kitchen. However would gladly stay again.
