The Space
For over 26 years, Casa and Casitas Linda Vista has been Playa Grande’s best-kept secret. This secluded oasis sits on a three-acre hilltop estate overlooking the Pacific Ocean, where ocean and mountain views blend harmoniously with tropical forest and pristine sandy beaches.
The main house, Casa Linda Vista, is the largest of three fully equipped homes on the property. It is a two-story, two-bedroom residence featuring:
- Panoramic ocean and mountain views
- Two tiled bathrooms
- A large, fully equipped kitchen
- Wrap-around screened windows that invite cool breezes and create a treetop sleeping experience
- A balcony perfect for relaxing and watching sunsets over the Pacific
Constructed with native woods and volcanic rock, the house offers a unique, natural ambiance. It comfortably accommodates between 2 and 8 guests, making it ideal for families or groups.
The property borders Las Baulas National Park and is just a few minutes’ walk from Playa Grande’s main surf breaks.
For larger groups, the estate includes two additional fully equipped houses, allowing accommodation for up to 16 people when combined with the main house.

Casa Linda Vista is situated on a peaceful, private three-acre estate at the northwest end of Playa Grande. The property is surrounded by beautiful wooded areas, providing seclusion while remaining close to:

Très belle maison sur un terrain privé et sécuritaire. Craig a été un très bon hôte. Il était disponible facilement pour nous. Nous avons vu plusieurs singes et la végétation est magnifique. À 7-8 minutes à pied de la plage par un petit chemin sécuritaire. Il ne fait pas chaud même s’il n’y a pas d’air climatisé car il y a de grosses ventilateurs au plafond de chaque pièce pour rafraîchir. Nous entendons la mer c’est un bruit agréable et nous la voyons sur le balcon du deuxième étage. Merci encore pour tous!

Excellent séjour chez Kai, hôte accueillant et réactif a nos demandes. La maison est belle, spacieuse et dans un beau jardin où nous avons vu des singes au petit déjeuner !

Kai’s villa and his hosting skills were both lovely and greatly appreciated. Our family had an exceptional stay and would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the Playa Grande area. We loved making breakfasts with fruit and eggs bought at the fruit stand around the corner and enjoyed dinners at La Tortuga restaurant right next to the beach, especially bc of the sunsets. Kai was so generous with his time and sharing with us his knowledge of the area, and even introduced our girls the monkeys and iguanas (who are the local neighbours). Thank you for an awesome stay, Kai!

Disfrutamos mucho en Casa Linda Vista en medio de la naturaleza, a pocos metros de la playa mas linda de Tamarindo. Kai fue muy amable y atento. Esperamos volver algún día !

Casa Linda Vista was a very beautiful stay in a private and quite hill top. House was clean, beautiful and in a great location. Our host Kai was very kind and we appreciated him checking in on us to see if we needed anything. It was a really nice treat the morning the howler monkeys came by in the trees. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Craig/Kai's place was wonderful - perfect spot to head to the beach from and do surfing. It's only a 5minute drive to the beach and on the main road you have excellent surf shops and breakfast/lunch/dinner place (Pots and Bowls). We were worried about the lack of AC but it was actually super well-ventilated (natural breeze and winds + the fans in all rooms). Great quiet location and a nice table area outside to hang out at in front of the property. Check-in was super easy and Craig/Kai were very responsive throughout the stay. Highly recommend!
