Casa Lutecia

Das Haus ist sehr schön gelegen und wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Natalia hat uns persönlich empfangen und uns das wichtigste gezeigt. Auch während des Aufenthaltes war Natalia sehr gut erreichbar und hat sofort reagiert. Von der Terasse aus konnten wir Agutis, Kolibris, Waschbären und viele weitere Tiere beobachten. Mit dem Feldstecher haben wir sogar Buckelwale unten im Meer gesehen. Die Aussicht ist fantastisch. Bei Niedrigwasser kann man den riesigen, menschenleeren Strand entlang spazieren. Wir können die Unterkunft von Natalia & David nur weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank euch.

It was a real pleasure to stay at David and Natalia‘s beautiful property. We were comfortable and welcome upon first arriving. The location was second to none in proximity to the beach. It lived up to everything that was said about the area. Would recommend the home to anyone who would enjoy peaceful beaches, beautiful surrounding nature, lush greenery, and amazing birds.! thank you so much and we hope to visit again someday. This is a great place to connect with nature. The house is as described. Its rustic but was clean and comfortable. Without even leaving the house we were able to see monkeys, toucans, mackaws and other interesting birds. On the walk to Arco Beach we saw two more kinds of monkeys as well. The view of the ocean is nice and being right up against untouched jungle on one side made for great viewing opportunities. No neighbors are within sight, which is what we wanted. The hike down to the beach was really cool, though not as easy as I expected. I had no trouble with it but a couple of people in my group didn't want to do it due to physical limitations. But, it was no problem as we were able to drive down the road to the access point for the trail to Arco Beach (not to be missed!). A 4x4 vehicle was helpful for this. David was super helpful with recommendations and always available when needed! I definitely recommend this house for nature lovers and people looking for peace and quiet.

Absolutely beautiful place, highlight of our trip.

The location was perfect. Quiet, private, and a 5 or 6 minute watch to a beautiful and basically private beach. We watched birds, animals and beautiful sunsets from the shaded deck. I was worried about no AC but there are fans in every room and the house is basically all screens. We could always get comfortable. To me, this is the perfect Central American jungle beach house. We plan to return. Finally, the hosts live a very short distance away and they responded very quickly every time we texted. And they had very good advice. One more thing. The symphony of sounds - waves crashing, birds singing, monkeys howling, cicadas chirping - was fantastic every day. We’d have missed it all with AC.

The house is really cool. It’s sort of like a up north cabin. Very unique! It is about a good 10 minute walk to the beach. The hidden beach is a bit longer of a walk but not bad. I would stay again.

David en Nathalia zijn erg toegankelijker. Wellicht een goed idee om de weg naar het huis te verlichten met lampjes naast de weg.

Hosts were super flexible with us when our next place did not work out. Loved the views- super peaceful and beautiful. Loved the monkeys

This beautiful bamboo home was paradise! Had everything we needed, plus a daily morning "alarm" of birdsong and howler monkeys. But what really sets this place apart was the access to a stunning private beach and easy walk to Playa Arco. Quite a memorable place to stay.

This place is beautiful! It is truly surrounded by nature with a wide view of forest/jungle and bits of ocean view. You can hear the ocean waves at night. David was very responsive. He gave detailed directions for arrival and brought over things we needed. We cooked in and enjoyed the deck at breakfast and the the indoor table for dinner. The benefit of the location is nature watching from the deck and privacy and the proximity to quiet Arco beach which can only be accessed for the 3 hours before and after low tide. The walk min. of 10 minutes to the shore and 20 to Playa Arco. We chose the location as near-ish the park Manuel Antonio. It took us about an hour to get there. Side note -that park it is far too crowded and crazy, especially during Semana Santa (week leading up to Easter), but I suspect always. Note - the area (incl house) is HOT and there is no A/C so mid-day was tough. AM and PM were lovely.
