The Space

Absolutely Amazing House! We were a family of six traveling to Playa Flamingo, and it was perfect. Between the pool, outdoor space, and beach (fun waves), there was always something to do on our relaxing "lazy house days". The staff of Special Places was very accommodating. This property was well worth it and would very much look at returning in the future.

Incredible house and services offered by the hosts. There’s no better feature than being on the beach and on the best part of Playa Flamingo. We had an amazing cleaning lady, masseuses, chef services and the hosts helped us book tours to Arenal and Rio Celeste. There’s probably no better house in the region!

This place was AMAZING. We are a family of 8 who spent a week at the "Yellow Hacienda". We travel frequently as a large family and are experienced AirBnB guests and very few places ever actually EXCEED all expectations but this place did. First, the communication with the host, Special places of Costa Rica was outstanding (Thank you Phem and Alonso). They were friendly and timely with responses both before booking, after booking and during our stay. The place is huge and comfortable... Each of the 4 bedrooms with its own private bathroom and large common spaces. The house is one of 3 private villas (all 3 managed by Special Places) and there is a private gated entrance to the 3 villas so the sense of privacy and security is great. The backyard has an amazing pool deck (great pool and hot tub (that was actually super hot which was great!), lush green lawn and then the most amazing beach just steps away. the photos in the listing do not even do it justice. We considered booking some other interesting places that would be a "just a short ride to the beach" but thank goodness we chose this awesome place. To be able to walk right off the back pool deck and yard onto the beach was amazing. No need to herd everyone out the door and into a car for beach trips. Just walk right out to the beach whenever you want. We were originally not sure exactly what town on the pacific side of Costa Rica we wanted to stay. We just knew we wanted to have a "Costa Rica beach vacation" and flying into Liberia airport and the 45 minute drive to Playa Flamingo beach was the perfect choice.... not touristy at all and an absolutely picturesque beautiful beach with some activity without being crowded at all and also not feeling like some lonely abandoned beach with no one around. a 3 minute walk down the beach is the most popular restaurant in the area, Coca Loco which was great. There was a wonderful housekeeper there every day cleaning and straightening up so the place was immaculately clean the entire week trip. There is maintenance/security staff guy there basically 24/7 and even offered to build us a beach bonfire our last nigh there which was an awesome experience for the family to sit around and recap the vacation (Thank you Alex!). We hired an amazing (and very affordable) chef, Estefania (called 'Private home Cooking Service') to make us an amazing breakfast and dinner everyday (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Google them!). Of the many places we have vacationed and stayed in an AirBnB, this was one of the best family/group vacation experience places we have had. We VERY highly recommend this place if you are looking for an awesome Costa Rica vacation place to stay right on the beach for a group or family. You will not be disappointed.
