Casa Dos Cocos is situated within the Guiones Beach Club, just a two-minute walk from the beach via a private path. This property is perfect for families, comfortably accommodating up to 11 guests across two buildings—9 in the main house and 2 in a private studio. It offers privacy, security, and tranquility while remaining close to town and very near the beach.

The home’s design combines modern comfort with cozy touches, blending authentic Balinese furniture with Costa Rican charm to create a stylish yet welcoming retreat.

The Space

Main House

The main house features three bedrooms:

• Master Bedroom: King-size bed, ensuite bathroom, and ample closet space.
• Kids’ Bunk Room: Bunk beds plus a single bed, ideal for children.
• Garden-Facing Bedroom: King-size bed and a trundle bed, suitable for young families. This room also includes a desk, making it a convenient workspace for remote work.

For entertainment, there is a game room equipped with a large flat-screen TV, board games, two spacious sofas, and beanbags.

The open-plan living area includes:

• A large dining table made from a single piece of wood that seats 12 comfortably.
• A cozy sitting area with a sofa, two chairs, and a Balinese coffee table—perfect for morning coffee while watching birds and monkeys outside.
• A fully equipped kitchen featuring a refrigerator with an ice maker, gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, and a Berkey water filter. Four stools at the kitchen counter provide a casual spot to chat while preparing meals.

The kitchen opens onto a covered patio overlooking the pool and surrounding jungle. This outdoor space includes:

• A large round dining table.
• A separate seating area with two sofas and a Balinese coffee table.
• Two ceiling fans to keep the area cool during meals and socializing.

Outdoor Features

A short set of steps leads to the saltwater pool, which is approximately 5.5 feet deep. The pool includes two built-in stools near a large sliding window, allowing conversation between swimmers and those inside the living room. The surrounding trees provide shade, keeping the water cool.

Above the pool is a covered rancho featuring:

• Four comfortable chairs facing the pool and ocean.
• A charcoal Weber BBQ grill.
• A large round table.
• A half bathroom, sink, ample counter space, and two beverage refrigerators.

The rancho faces west, making it an ideal spot to relax in the afternoon, enjoy the pool, and take in the beautiful surroundings. The laundry room with a washer and dryer is accessible from this area.

Studio Bedroom

Located above the rancho, the studio bedroom offers:

• A king-size bed.
• A full bathroom.
• A large desk.
• Sliding doors opening to a west-facing terrace with steps leading to the roof deck.

This space is perfect for guests seeking extra privacy, a quiet work environment, or scenic views. The roof deck is an excellent place for stargazing while listening to the nearby ocean waves.

Sleeping Arrangements

• Master Bedroom: Sleeps 2 (king-size bed)
• Kids’ Bunk Room: Sleeps 3 (bunk beds and a single bed)
• Garden Bedroom: Sleeps 4 (king-size bed and trundle bed)

The property is surrounded by lush gardens that attract local wildlife such as monkeys, parrots, and iguanas, enhancing the authentic Costa Rican experience.

Parking

Parking is limited to two small cars, so guests should plan accordingly.

Location

Casa Dos Cocos is located in the prestigious K Section of Nosara within the Guiones Beach Club. This prime location is just a two-minute walk from excellent surf spots at Baker’s Beach and the tide pools at the south end of Playa Guiones.

Nearby attractions include:

• The Bodhi Tree, a renowned yoga and wellness retreat.
• Various shops and restaurants in Guiones.

Guests can enjoy the soothing sound of ocean waves from the house, offering a perfect balance between proximity to the beach and town while maintaining a peaceful, secluded atmosphere.

Local Considerations

While Costa Rica’s infrastructure is improving, guests may occasionally encounter dust, insects, or brief outages of power, water, or internet. These are typical in the area and part of the authentic local experience.

To help maintain connectivity, Casa Dos Cocos is equipped with two internet providers: Starlink and Liberty (a local Costa Rican service). The home also features solar power with a battery backup system to provide electricity during short outages, including at night.

Water is supplied through backup tanks and filtered with a system that softens and purifies it, making tap water safe to drink.

Safety and Security

Casa Dos Cocos is within the secure, gated Guiones Beach Club community, which has a guard at the entrance and regular nighttime patrols. Despite these measures, theft can still occur in Nosara. Guests are advised to:

• Always lock doors and windows when away or at night.
• Avoid leaving valuables or personal items unattended, including electronics and identification.
• Not leave valuables in cars or on patios unattended.

Rent Nosara, the homeowner, and the property manager are not liable for any loss due to theft.

Parking accommodates two small cars. Please inquire for additional guidance regarding parking arrangements.

Additional Notes

Construction Notice

Nosara, including Playa Guiones and Playa Pelada, is a rapidly developing area. Construction noise may occur between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Efforts are made to inform guests about ongoing projects, but advance notice is not always available.

Occupancy

The house comfortably sleeps up to 9 guests but can accommodate 10 to 11 upon request. If your group exceeds 9 guests, please contact us before booking to review sleeping arrangements and ensure the setup suits your needs.
