The Space

This spacious and comfortable house is situated in the heart of Monteverde, surrounded by nature and just a short walk from the breathtaking cloud forest. Casa Guarumo features five private bedrooms and accommodates up to 24 guests, making it ideal for large families or groups of friends. Each bedroom includes its own private bathroom.

The home offers expansive common areas designed to create a cozy and enjoyable cloud forest experience. Outside, a firepit awaits you, nestled among trees for a relaxing evening.

About the House

Our home is nestled amid beautiful gardens and ancient trees, providing a perfect habitat for thousands of birds whose vibrant colors and melodious songs will captivate you. The environment is very peaceful, ideal for those seeking tranquility and a deeper connection with nature and themselves.

At times, you might be entertained by natural concerts of birds and exotic insects. Local wildlife often visits, including a charming troop of monkeys that occasionally rest on our balcony. They are friendly guests, and their presence, along with the diverse sounds of the forest, reflects the natural sanctuary that defines the Monteverde experience.

The house balances privacy and togetherness perfectly. While all bedrooms are separate, the shared social spaces naturally encourage guests to come together and create lasting memories in this magical setting.

Monteverde, true to its name meaning "Green Mountain," is a lush paradise rich in biodiversity. The region contains 2.5% of the world's biodiversity, with 10% of its species found nowhere else. This majestic Costa Rican cloud forest is renowned worldwide for its stunning natural landscapes and diverse wildlife, making it a favorite destination for bird watchers and biologists.
