Casa Caracol

Amazing location, private but near places. Pictures don’t do this beauty justice! The service was also beyond amazing, very attentive and accommodating. If you’re considering booking do it!! This place is stunning and unique.

Casa Caracol was a great getaway. We enjoyed our time here celebrating my husband’s 40th. Prior to arrival, everyone was extremely responsive and helpful. We were able to make arrangement for a chef to come cook, fishing tours, and have a golf cart to get around the island. Vanessa, our host, was so lovely and welcoming. No matter what you do, be sure to book the chef for a day. Chef Martin is well worth the money. His food is amazing, the French toast was the best any of us had ever had, as well as the coconut shrimp. He was incredibly kind and is extremely passionate about his craft. It’s incredible how delicious of a meal he was able to create in that kitchen! You’ll definitely enjoy your time at Casa Caracol!

The house is very special and looks better than the pictures. It’s located 10 minutes away from the ferry stop. I suggest renting their electric golf car because you will need it to get around the island. Raquel was in charge of check in and check out. She was very attentive through our stay and fast at resolving small issues around the house. I would highly recommend this place to stay in Isla Mujeres.

I have been coming to Isla Mujeres since I was a teenager about 20 years ago. The Shell house is a legend across the world and was so awesome to finally stay here! The host was always quick to respond and also arranged golf cart (necessary) for our seven day vacation. We traveled with four adults and two small children. The home is really a small compound that feels safe. My favorite was reading for hours in the hot tub/jacuzzi. A quick ride to all the attractions. Thank you!

Magical stay at the shell house, the grounds were just as stunning as the house! Having Vanessa so close by and so helpful was wonderful, she truly made us feel like family!

Casa Caracol was a great place for a short vacation. Looks just like pictures. There are 3 separate buildings so it would work perfect for 3 couples or adult children. The kitchen is small but perfect if you do not plan on cooking. The grounds are pretty. Overall a cozy place. The mosquitos get in easily through screens on windows so best to keep bathroom doors shut. The AC units take a bit to catch up when you first arrive but do cool off eventually. Vanessa is very attentive and appreciate her promptness when we needed her help.

If I could rate higher than a 5, I would. Vanessa took such good care of our every need from comfort at the home to private airport transfers and excellent island recommendations. The shell house was truly amazing yo spend a week at with our family.
