Casa Iguana Morada is situated in the Pelican Eyes gated community on a hill overlooking Playa San Juan Del Sur. The vibrant town center, featuring a variety of restaurants, bars, markets, and the scenic beach, is just a ten-minute walk away. The house spans three levels, each offering beautiful views of the ocean, sunsets, and the Cristo de La Misericordia statue. While close to town, the property maintains a tranquil atmosphere surrounded by forest.
Guests can enjoy the large, family-friendly shared pool as well as a lap pool with impressive views.
The Space
Casa Iguana Morada is located at the edge of town within the Pelican Eyes community. The home is powered by solar energy for an eco-conscious stay, though air conditioning in both bedrooms operates on grid electricity, so mindful usage is encouraged.
- Ground Level: Master bedroom with a king-size bed, spacious master bathroom featuring a heated shower, ample closet space, and a private entrance.
- Middle Floor: Second bedroom with two queen beds, private bathroom, large storage closet, and a balcony with scenic views.
- Top Floor: Kitchen, dining area, and living room, accompanied by a third bathroom. A large balcony with comfortable seating offers breathtaking sunset views.
Guest Access
Guests have exclusive use of the entire three-level home. Additionally, access is provided to the community’s large family pool and lap pool.
Additional Information
The road leading to phase two of the Pelican Eyes development is gravel but does not require a four-wheel-drive vehicle. However, guests should exercise caution when walking, as the path can be steep.

Beautiful view from the house had everything we needed and was extremely close to everywhere we wanted to go! The pools were amazing and felt amazing loved the stay would definitely come back.

We’ve toured over five cities and stayed at five separate homes during our trip. This was our favorite location. The views are incredible, it’s so peaceful and quiet. We felt safe and secure at this location. I recommend Rakel and her place to everyone visiting Nicaragua, this will make you come back and leave a memorable vacation for your family.

This place had breathtaking views, it was in a very secure, private neighborhood. IT was close enough to the city, but far enough away to not hear any of the past life. The house was beautiful and clean. The host very friendly and helpful. We loved everything about this place.

Nous avons tellement adoré notre séjour que nous avons décidé de rester une journée de plus! L’endroit est propre, les instructions pour se rendre étaient claire et à seulement une petite marche de la ville. C’est un très beau logement qui en vaut amplement la peine!

Appartement splendide sur les hauteurs de SJDS. Belles piscines (partagées avec les autres maisons des alentours) avec une très belle vue. Petit bar et resto (cher) à proximité. Propre, spacieux et confortable. Quelques chats sur le balcon. Belle TV connectée si vous voulez cous regarder un film le soir. Rares petites remarques: le wifi ne fonctionnait que dans le salon et l’accès à la ville à pied est à 15mn, avec des sections dans une route non bitumée et non éclairée.
