The pool area and view were magical! The staff was really helpful and friendly. Food and drinks were also great. Only downside was the netting around the bed did not work properly so you couldn’t really seal yourself from the bugs and we got bit up all night be mosquitoes and ants. The pillows were terrible and in the morning we noticed there’s a huge gap in the wall so all the bugs could get in. Aside from that the place was great. If you’re a light sleeper I do not recommend since you hear all kinds of noise at night.

L’emplacement est situé près du volcan Masaya +++. Belle végétation sur le site mais mise à part la piscine avec la vue spectaculaire sur le lagoon, le montant est exagéré pour l’emplacement comparé à d’autres logements dans la région. À mon arrivée la cabinas n’était pas prête car le personnel ne semblait pas au courant de notre venue, il semblait avoir un problème de communication entre eux concernant notre chambre. En soirée nous avons manqué d’électricité, nous avons dû aller à l’accueil pour les avertir. Cela a été réglé après un bon moment. Par la suite, durant la nuit l’électricité s’est arrêté aussi et nous avons donc eu aucun ventilateur pour la nuit. Le lendemain l’électricité est revenu vers 9:00 am seulement, heureusement nous avions le petit four au gaz pour se faire à déjeuner. La cabinas était propre excepté que nous avons trouvé des déchets dans la douche (un collant de bas de maillot de bain était collé sur la céramique du mur entres autres). Personnel courtois.

We loved every second of our stay at Calalas Lodge. Breathtaking views, lovely staff around the clock, local recommendations, food, transportation, day out suggestions…, they went above and beyond to make us feel at home and make sure we could enjoy Nicaragua to the extent.

extremely helpful with everything from organizing tours and airport pick up. if you want a place close to the national park and with a beautiful view this is the place!
