We had a great stay at Mihail’s place. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, AC kept all the bedrooms nice and cool, and the outdoor living area and pool were beyond amazing. The property is fully fenced, surrounded by lush trees, and we got to see howler monkeys up in the mango tree daily, which the kids loved. There’s a coffee shop and several restaurants just a few mins away, and downtown Guiones is less than a 10 min drive. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to hang out, relax and enjoy all that Nosara has to offer.

If you are looking for an actual “ off the beaten path “ this is the place for you. You 💯 have to have a 4 wheel drive SUV . It is not a leisurely walk to the beach , but you can do it. The bedrooms all have AC , but the kitchen does not. The open air concept is really nice, but maybe not the best in the rainy, humid weather. We did enjoy the clean pool and saw some monkeys in the trees overhead . Overall it’s a neat experience. Just a bit different.

PROS: Private. Spacious Patio; Kitchen clean, uncluttered; M. Bedroom spacious, clean. CONS: Huge lack of updated kitchen amenities: dishwasher works, doesn’t clean; coffee maker & blender old, grungy, stained; cheap pans didn’t heat well; cooking utensils old, stained or melted plastic; bath mat in Master bath grungy; missing handle on Master shower faucet; bed sheets like thickened cheap microfiber. Lighting in M. Bath verrrry dim. NO washer/dryer! Not easy hand washing bathing suits; had to get towels from other rooms because no way to clean the ones we used. Pool ok—small and shallow; dirty when we arrived. Lots of instructions about trash/recycling. Mihail helpful when needed but hard to get hold of; he appreciated pointers to update things. In meantime, he should state his place is “as is” and charge rates accordingly til modifications are completed. In this condition, wouldn’t recommend this stay; left a day early & didn’t mind eating cost to stay elsewhere.

The layout of Mihail’s place is fantastic. You can hang out under a large palapa without being cooped up in a room. The pool is a great feature. On the con side, we were not informed that a guy was there chaing all of the house locks and a security guard was offered to us due to crime. That is not a great first impression nor did we feel that our stuff was safe. The place really needs bug control. As we were in bed, ants and other bugs would crawl on us. The price/night was too high in our opinion. The following week or two after is approximately 25% less. The random showing by the gardener was also odd. The in house manual and online directions didn’t match for the gardener or pool guy’s schedules. So, you don’t know when they’re showing up. So much for privacy. Last negative item, contractors building neighboring house(s) start at 6:30 AM. The walk to Playa Pelada was easy and the beach only had a few people on it.

Great place for a group to hang out. The house was clean, comfortable, and the pool was awesome. Mihail was super responsive to our many questions. We felt really tended to and cared for. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a good time here. The layout was good, and we liked the central social space. This house definitely is a little old with things like the internet and air conditioners not working all the time. The host did try and remedy things as fast as possible. The pool is smaller and shallower than we realized from the pictures, but good to cool down.

We overall had a lovely stay at Mihail's place! The villa was easy to access and had all of the amenities listed on the airbnb post. We loved hanging out in the outdoor area after our days exploring and having breakfast at the dining table. We just wanted to note a few things that we weren't fully aware of before booking this airbnb. 1. Mihail had confirmed with me that there were beach towels and it was actually just a basket with a bunch of bath towels 2. There is a lot of wildlife around the villa. This is wonderful but be aware that the raccoons like to swing around in the palm trees that are by the pool at night (1 fell into our area). 3. Due to it being the dry season, we had the water shut off 2 times (1 time the power went out too). This is something that just happens in Nosara and isn't Mihails fault but it would have been nice to have received a warning.
