George’s place is a hidden oasis near to a beautiful waterfall, and close to the beach. It is only a short drive to the town of dominical and uvita, where there is lots of restaurants, activities, and sights to see. The place was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. We stayed 1 week, and wished we could have stayed longer! George’s place is surrounded by jungle and wildlife. A serene and peaceful getaway, yet close to everything. Other reviews mentioned there was no hot water, but this is incorrect. George’s place has hot water which is an added plus. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting uvita or the surrounding areas. Thank you so much george, we look forward to visiting your place again ☺️

George was super friendly and attentive. We were well received and welcomed. In many places, he also accommodated us. Made us coffee or opened my coconut outside the grounds were very nice and there were also some animals to marvel at. Freddy the house dog was also super gracious. Unfortunately, the accommodation was rather loveless inside. The biggest problem was probably the insects. Mosquitoes outside are to be expected close to the river. Even the one or the other ant inside is not the end of the world. However, there is no reason for cockroaches in the crowd as they were present in my opinion. When I arrived at the next Airbnb, I fell out of my jacket...yikes. Don't leave anything around and close everything tightly to bags.

George war super freundlich und Aufmerksam. Wir wurden gut aufgenommen und willkommen geheißen. An vielen Stellen ist er uns auch extra entgegen gekommen. Hat uns Kaffee gemacht oder meine Kokusnuss geöffnet Draußen war das Gelände sehr schön und es gab auch einige Tiere zu bestaunen. Freddy der Haushund war auch super liebenswürdig. Leider war die Unterkunft innen eher lieblos eingerichtet. Das größte Problem waren wohl die Insekten. Mücken draußen sind in der Nähe vom Fluss zu erwarten. Auch die eine oder andere Ameise drinnen ist kein Weltuntergang. Für Schaben in der Menge wie sie vorhanden waren gibt es aber meiner Ansicht nach keinen Grund. Bei der Ankunft im nächsten Airbnb ist mir noch eine aus der Jacke gefallen...yikes. Lieber nichts rumliegen lassen und alles fest verschließen an Taschen.

We chose this location mainly due to its proximity to many attractions. Very close to Nauyaca waterfalls, 1 hour from Manuel Antonio, 40 minutes from Uvita (Marino Ballena National Park), 15 minutes from Dominical & 35 minutes from San Isidro el General (suggestion: go to the farmers market on Thursdays - amazing!). We stayed at this location for 7 nights and used this property as a "base camp" for our daily excursions. The location was perfect. The grounds at George's property are full of wonderful citrus trees, flowers and coconut trees. Daily, we saw toucans (look for them about 30 minutes before sunset), hummingbirds & spectacular Oropendola's. At the back of the property, there is a place where you can see the amazing sunsets. George is very pleasant and has a wealth of knowledge of the area and what to do, what to avoid, etc. We had some great conversations with him. His companion dog, Freddy is very gentle. Overall, we loved our stay here.

George's place is immersed in the jungle.  Birds and beasts right outside the window, oh my (no worries, nothing harmful, all friendly critters).  The accommodations are clean and bright, and  supplied with everything you need to feel at home.  We had a great visit and will definitely return soon.  Pura Vida!

George's place is in a great location. The cabins are duplex-style, nice and roomy, decor is fairly basic, but clean. My one-bedroom unit had a very large walk-in closet, a little dining area, kitchenette, and front-room. There is no air conditioning, but the ceilings are high and vented, ceiling fans in front room and bedroom were sufficient. Nights were pleasantly cool, needing only the light blanket that was provided.  The landscaping is very nice, getting up the hill to the parking area was a challenge the first time up, but once you get used to it, it is manageable. It was a short drive down to Dominical, where I often went to enjoy the incredible sunsets!

Great place, low price for the location, spaciousness of cabin, and the wonderful gardens. It’s private, peaceful, relaxing. Lots of wildlife too.

Beautiful accommodation in a peaceful location at about 750m altitude in the mountains off Dominical. Very nice excursions possible, including to the Nauyaca Waterfall and the beaches of Dominical, Quepos and Manuel Antonio.  The place is spacious, albeit a bit outdated. It should be noted that there is no hot water and no air conditioning. George is a very friendly and helpful host and happy to help with questions and issues.

Schöne Unterkunft in einer ruhigen Lage auf ca. 750m Höhe in den Bergen vor Dominical. Sehr schöne Ausflüge möglich, unter anderem zum Nauyaca Wasserfall und an die Strände von Dominical, Quepos und nach Manuel Antonio.  Die Unterkunft geräumig, wenn auch etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Man sollte beachten, dass es kein warmes Wasser und keine Klimaanlage gibt. George ist ein sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber und hilft bei Fragen und Problemen gerne weiter.

This place is great.  Great location close to Dominical and also Nauyaca waterfall.  Comfortable with everything you might need and Jurek was a great host.  Very easy to communicate and very accommodating.  I wish I could have spent more time enjoying the beautiful gardens.  The space is very quiet, especially for being so close to the road.  It is very easy to get to in a convenient location but still very peaceful and easy to sleep without hearing the trucks driving by all night.  I would definitely stay here again.

George was a super awesome host! His place is about a 10 minute drive from dominical and just around the corner from the falls. The home was stocked with everything we needed during our stay. Even though our plans changed last minute and we had to leave earlier than expected, George was super understanding and accommodating of our situation. We enjoyed it!

Nice location a short distance from Dominical. Up the hill a bit and much cooler at night than the beach. George is an excellent host.

George has a cool, chill place up on a mountain side, only 11 kms up the road to San Isidro from the main highway before you hit Dominical. It's a rustic accommodation, but soft sheets, hot water shower and lovely garden side surroundings. George is a hoot and Freddy,  his beloved dog and constant companion are adorable. The guest next door (Tor) was an awesome neighbour and we enjoyed it for what it was.

If objectively, the house and furniture are old, there are some problems with cleanliness, the Internet is average. And you will definitely pay attention to all this when you arrive. But as soon as you drink coffee outside to the sounds of nature, you will see toucans arriving in flocks of 5-6 pieces of neighboring trees, squirrels, gnawing coconuts on a palm 2 meters from the house, and many colorful birds and butterflies flying around - you will forget about it all, because you will be fine and peaceful here, and you will just enjoy the nature around, which fully compensates for all the shortcomings. And when you go from the parking lot, you will look not at your feet, but at the top of the trees, hoping to see someone else and listen to the rustles in the bushes. Here you are not coming to the house, you are coming to the garden and it will be the main thing you will think about and what you will remember warmly because it is beautiful! The host George is a very attentive and hospitable person, always ready to help in any matter. Upon arrival, we had some comments about the fact that the house was dirty, but the next morning he did an extra cleaning and took into account all our comments. Thank you! Nuance you should know: The host's dog walks freely on the territory (it is in the photo for the description of the house), if you are afraid of dogs, take this into account.

Если объективно, то дом и мебель старые, наблюдаются некоторые проблемы с чистотой, интернет средний. И вы наверняка обратите на все это внимание по приезду. Но как только вы попьете кофе на улице под звуки природы, увидите туканов, прилетающих стаями по 5-6 штук на соседние деревья, белок, грызущих кокосы на пальме в 2 метрах от дома, и множество разноцветных птичек и бабочек, летающих вокруг - вы обо всем этом забудете, потому что вам будет тут хорошо и умиротворенно, и вы будете просто наслаждаться природой вокруг, которая полностью компенсирует все недостатки. А идя от парковки вы будете смотреть не под ноги, а на верхушки деревьев, в надежде увидеть еще кого-нибудь и вслушиваться в шорохи в кустах. Здесь вы приезжаете не в дом, вы приезжаете в сад, и он будет главным о чем вы будете думать и что будете вспоминать с теплотой, потому что он прекрасен! Хозяин George очень внимательный и гостеприимный человек, всегда готовый помочь в любых вопросах. По приезду у нас были некоторые замечания по поводу того что в доме грязно, но на след. утро он сделал доп. уборку и учел все наши замечания. Спасибо! Нюанс, который следует знать: По территории свободно гуляет собака хозяина(она есть на фото к описанию дома), если вы боитесь собак, учитывайте это.

George's site is very well located for Nauyaca waterfall. Anyway know that it is not advisable to do this excursion with children since they are 6 km of walk one way and 6 return. George's place is good for spending a few quiet days with nature. With basic kitchen items, cable TV, and fans in their spaces. Dominical is 15 minutes away and George can recommend some highly recommended secret beaches nearby. Something to keep in mind. There is a Doberman guardian dog that is to consider because my wife and children were very scared and we couldn't enjoy the outdoor gardens of the place as we would have wanted.

El sitio de George está muy bien ubicado para conocer la cascada Nauyaca. De todas maneras saber que no es recomendable hacer esa excursión con niños ya que son 6 km de caminata de ida y 6 de vuelta. El lugar de George está bien para pasar unos días tranquilos con la naturaleza. Con elementos de cocina básicos, tv con cable y ventiladores en sus espacios. Dominical se encuentra a 15 minutos y George les puede recomendar algunas playas secretas cercanas muy recomendables. Algo a tener en cuenta. Hay un perro Doberman guardián que es para considerar por que mi mujer y mis niños tuvieron mucho miedo y no pudimos disfrutar los jardines exteriores del lugar como hubiéramos querido.

The place is spacious and well thought-out with a beautiful garden. George was lovely and very helpful, even taking us to the grocery when our car failed and reacted immediately when we needed anything. Real Pura Vida style!

George's house is a true haven of peace , his garden is simply beautiful, we were delighted to see squirrels and other animals walking through trees and flowering plants while we ate on the terrace. Georges is very generous, he  offered us plenty of fruit from his garden. The house is spacious but the whole thing is a little dirty, it would really need a good cleaning and refreshment. Recommended.

La maison de George est un véritable havre de paix , son jardin est tout simplement magnifique, nous avons été enchanté de voir les écureuils et autres animaux se balader dans les arbres et plantes fleuries pendant que nous mangions sur la terrasse. Georges est très généreux, il nous a  offert  beaucoup de fruits de son jardin. La maison est quant à elle spacieuse mais l'ensemble est un peu sale, elle aurait vraiment besoin d'un bon nettoyage et rafraichissement. Nous recommandons.

George's place was nested in the middle of the tropical forest. The garden was beautiful and you can see toucans. it is close to Dominical and about 1 hour away from Manuel Antonio.

George it's a great host, we are happy for the accommodations and to have met Freddie George's dog. We will choose this place again if we have to travel to Costa Rica and to be close to Playa Dominical a d Quepos.

Jurek (George) is a very hospitable host, who tried to make our stay most comfortable. The apartment is located in his private property, where a beautiful tropical garden is grown on the mountain relief. And early in the morning in the garden you can see the toucans! The house is spacious, with a separate bedroom, kitchen and terrace. With our arrival, Jurek offered us a much bigger apartment than we booked! Nearby is a beautiful Nauyaca waterfall, which you should definitely visit. May be you can see the famous red frog Blue Jeans there. We were lucky to see her! We traveled without a car and the owner very kindly took us from Dominical on the day of our arrival as well, drove us back on the day of departure. Also, he drove us several times to the supermarkets. The bus stop is very close at his property and, If you wish, you can visit San Isidro, Dominical, Uvita, Quepos.. George was a wonderful host. His place had what we, a family of four, needed to live a week in Costa Rica! The mountain drive was long but worth it to be in the lush nature of the mountain. We ate some fruit still lingering on the grounds, watched a beautiful sunset from George’s outlook hut, and had plenty of time to go to a new beach everyday. It was magical!

Gracious and generous host and very helpful. I was much happier calling him Jurek, than George. He was a classic character. The curtains are painfully beautiful, you have to see it to believe it. Overall, very comfortable and very pleasant climate. A little garden upkeep wouldn’t hurt, but great bang for your buck. Good find. 

Positive The property is nestled in beautiful rainforest, George has tailored the jungle garden around the cabins and its quite beautiful to wake up in the morning to the sound of all the insect and wildlife. There is a viewing point at the top of the hill that offers a serene view all the way to the Pacific Ocean. George is extremely kind, has a sweet dog, and tried to help in any way possible. If you have a car, the property is in great proximity between the following towns, Uvita, Manuel Antonio/Quepos, and Platinillo. There is a fruit market within walking distance. It is only a ten minutes walk from the property to Nuayaca Waterfalls which are breathtaking and you must see if you stay. Negative We did not have a car, and this was the most stressful part of our stay here. The bus schedule George had for Manuel Antonio was wrong and we spent two days waiting for hours for the bus until we realized that schedule was wrong. The biggest issue with the bus system in the area is if you're visiting manuel antonio or quepos, the last busses back to Platinillo which you must take to get to the property are between 1 and 3, so this leaves a short time to explore other areas without a car. Even if you come in later, its challenging to find taxis from Dominical which you can take buses to later in the day. On the night we arrived after a 14 hour day across the county on buses, we couldn't find any taxis in dominical and George was unable to pick us up. We thankfully found someone to give us a ride. George did not communicate how challenging the bus system was in our first messages when I told him we had no car, and if we were aware we would not have booked. If you have no car I would not reccomend staying here, unless you want to just chill out and explore the beauty of that area. If you're eating out most of the time, the kitchen will be fine for holding leftovers, making coffee, tea etc. However if you plan to cook 3 meals a day the kitchen lacks basics, and only had one pan. The coffee machine wasn't cleaned so we weren't able to use it, and you will need to bring your own oil, salt, and pepper. It's very basic with kitchen amenities so dont plan on making complicated meals. Many of the kitchenware is old and needs to be replaced. The other biggest issue we had with Georges cabins other than transportation was the overall cleanliness. I cleaned the cabin upon my arrival because it wasn't even swept. There were dirty dishes put away, the coffee machine was so dirty it was unusable, nothing was dusted, the shower floor was filthy, and the whole house had a musky smell. The entire cabin needs a deep cleaning. It really dampened my stay...

George is an outstanding host. He gave incredible accurate directions to his beautiful place when we first connected because cell service is not always strong in this part of the country. Upon arrival he gave us a tour of the property that he has done so much work to and the entrance is magical colorful botantical garden of gorgeous tropical plants. He has stunning views around the property and even a lookout that he built with a short 10 min walk up a hill from his house.  You will have a magical experience staying at his place just a short 5 min walk to the Nayuaca Waterfalls after u get off of his property. There are fruit shops as well on the way, but make sure u get there while the shops are open. We were in heaven everytime we came home from Beach adventures to stay at George's place as you go to sleep and wake up to the sounds of the jungle.  One morning I woke up and took a little walk up to the look out spot and on my way saw a beautiful BRIGHT YELLOW TOUCAN bird which was a nice surprise. George was such a great host and gave us plenty of privacy throughout our entire stay and was very helpful giving us suggestions for places to east shop and visit. Wireless Internet was surprisingly working well on ALL of our devises this deep in the jungle but don't expect it be a speed you are used to, however I've had worse internet in major hotels before. We would definitely come back to stay with George again, and I'm sure the next time we come to stay with him, he will have made more additions and upgrades to the property because it was clear that building beautiful furniture and upgrading his property is his passion. What a pleasure it was to have our own private spot in the jungle during our stay in Costa Rica ! 

George was an outstanding host. He upgraded us into a two-bedroom at no additional charge just because he thought we'd be more comfortable, answered questions quickly, and made his washing machine available to us. The unit was comfortable and a great value in the area. Beautiful property and quiet nights.

George's place is a little tropical paradise, with an abundance of plants, flowers and birds. The cabina was very cute, with a touch of old world charm.  We liked that there was a two gas burner to cook on. The bed was very comfortable. Make sure to hike up to the observation deck to view the glorious, lush mountains and sunset. Tips:rent a 4x4 to access cabina; bring rubber or high top hiking boots for jungle hiking; stop on the way to stock up on groceries. There aren't many large grocery stores near by, but lots of fruit stands. If you want a tropical paradise, waking up to the sounds of birds and unique evening jungle noises, this is the place for you!

Beautifully landscaped property with privacy, yet very close to the main road. You will need a 4 wheel drive to climb the driveway. Once you get to the cabin, the amazing views and great amenities are sure to please you. Truly a bird lovers' paradise. You are in the tropical jungle but not bothered with bugs. We enjoyed the cabin and property.  The rate was very reasonable and we recommend this rental.

My friend and I loved our stay at George’s place. What a beautiful property with a lovely garden! Very fortunate to have found this casita to rent. George is a spirited man who loves to laugh. He is such a hard worker, constantly doing work around the property, but no matter how busy he was, he would always put everything on pause whenever I had a question or needed something. Wonderful hospitality. Drove to town to meet us when we arrived and drove me to the bus stop for my departure. Really appreciated that. Just a note that this place is about $14 taxi ride from Dominican Beach. If walking outside the property hiking boots or good walking shoes are recommended. There is a fruit stand in walking distance which was a big plus for me. Thank you for everything George!! It was a pleasure to meet you.

George is an all star host!!  Just minutes away from Nauyaca waterfalls and surrounded by nature. Best experience in Platanillo, highly recommended

Very nice place, in a beautiful garden. You're in the nature and sleep with the sound of it. We highly appreciated talking with Jurek. Cabana with 2 rooms is spacious. You're one minute from Nauyaca falls and reptilandia, 8 min to Dominical for soda or restaurants. You should definitively stop there.

We had a wonderful time at George's cottage. His grounds are beautiful...filled with fruit trees and fauna! Just amazing! We felt welcomed from the moment we met George...he met us at a local spot and drove us to his place...and showed us around his gardens. He was very insightful and kind to our family. He showed us his gorgeous views and gave us tips on what to do. His cottage was clean and very comfortable...and very very roomy. We had an amazing time staying there!

If you are looking for a tropical cabin in the woods experience, this is the perfect place for you. George's gated bungalow allows you to be away from your stresses and to be in touch with nature. It is located in a tropical jungle setting that is almost like another world. Like the other reviews, 4x4 is highly recommended for the steep, windy dirt driveway. He is a great host that is like a friend while staying in Costa Rica.

It was a really nice time at George's. You are surrounded by trees and plants. A great place to really rest. To the beach about 10-15 minutes by car. You don't necessarily need a 4x4  only then you have to walk about 60 m.

Es war eine wirklich schöne Zeit bei George.Man ist umgeben von Bäumen und Pflanzen.Ein tolles Platz um sich wirklich auszuruhen.Bis zum Strand ca 10-15 Minuten mit Auto.Man braucht nicht unbedingt ein 4x4  nur dann muss man ca 60 m zu Fuß gehen .

George was awesome so was freddy his dog.  Was beautiful place to stay.

George is a wonderful and thoughtful host and his bungalows are private and peaceful. Yes, the driveway is gnarly, but he’s in the process of paving it right now and that section that’s already done is much easier :)

Much cooler temperatures than right down at the ocean so no AC needed. We had no problem with the road but we have all-wheel-drive and not 4x4. The place is quiet with beautiful plants. The design of the buildings, with very high ceilings keeps things cool. And the fans help more in the heat of the day. We loved George and his dog Freddy. Our dog and his played endlessly outside. Just an amazing stay all the way around with easy access to beaches, restaurants, tours, etc. We felt very safe and cosy and welcomed. Just a jewel of a place and a great bargain at twice the price.

I enjoyed my stay at George’s for the convenience and beauty of the area.  The property was beautiful!

Very quiet and safe accommodation surrounded by nature. Beautiful garden of trees and flowers. Very close to Dominical (10 minutes by 4x4). A 4x4 is required to get to the listing. Ideal also for visits to Manuel Antonio and Uvita. George is so thoughtful. My daughter was sleeping on the sofa bed. He provided them with sheets and pillows. Freddy, his dog is very playful. Our only regret is that we didn't stay for more than two nights. I highly recommend it.

Logement très tranquille et sécuritaire en pleine nature. Très beau jardin d'arbres et de fleurs. Tout près de Dominical (10 minutes en 4x4). Un 4x4 est nécessaire pour se rendre au logement. Idéal aussi pour des visites à Manuel Antonio et Uvita. George est très attentionné. Ma fille couchait sur le sofa-lit. Il lui a fourni draps et oreillers. Freddy, son chien est très enjoué. Notre seul regret est de ne pas être resté plus de deux nuits. Je conseille fortement.

George responded immediately to our inquiry and was just in time to lead us to his house (we don't have to look). Space was surprisingly large: living room with the kitchen,bedroom , bathroom and terrace . Nothing is missing in the house. Just far from the road , we don't hear cars at night,but everything is close: park,waterfalls,beaches....

George reageerde gelijk op onze aanvraag en was precies op tijd om ons naar zijn huis te leiden( hoeven we niet zoeken).Ruimte was verrassend groot: woonkamer met de keuken,slaapkamer , badkamer en terras . Niets ontbreek in het huis.Net  ver van de weg , we horen snachts geen auto’s ,maar alles is dichtbij: park,watervallen,stranden....

If you book this accommodation, you must not have any claims regarding cleanliness and smells, especially in the bedroom (mattress). George is a helpful host,but he did not take any of the mentioned points and had an explanation for everything. Too bad!

Wer diese Unterkunft bucht,darf keine Ansprüche bzgl. Sauberkeit und Gerüche vor allem im Schlafzimmer (Matratze) haben.George ist ein hilfsbereiter Gastgeber,allerdings nahm er sich von den genannten Punkten nichts an und hatte zu allem eine Erklärung.Schade!

We travelled in January 2018, a family of four. George was a great host. He kept in touch and met us nearby to follow him back to his house. 4x4 is not needed to drive up the mountain from Dominical, but is needed fort the sorry drive up his driveway. The little house we had was cozy, and just as it appears in the photos. It's warm up in the humid jungle, but fans are provided, there is wifi, a nice outside covered eating area, and basic kitchen and fridge to make meals. You are 10 minutes up the road from Dominical, and we used George's suggestions to find our favourite beach during our stay. Kids loved having 300 stations and TV after their parents denied them electronics on this trip! Thanks George.

George has created a paradise, and we were lucky enough to spend a week there! His place is secluded, but you are just a few minutes away from town and amazing beaches. The casita was clean and comfortable with a great shower, maybe the best shower we have had in four trips to Costa Rica! George is friendly and interesting and his dog, Freddy, is fun to watch. George invited us to his small New Year's Eve party which was lots of fun. Definitely a great place to stay!

We loved staying at George's!   Toucans in the trees and coconuts to drink from.   George is an excellent host - he lives on the property and was always available for questions, etc.  The driveway is steep (4WD required) but short (5 min walk) if you don't have a car.  Really nice to have a two fruterias 200m up the road - I walked there before breakfast to buy plaintains (maduros).

We had an absolutely wonderful time at George's place! He was super responsive from the beginning and helped us with our trip to the end. He even helped arrange travel from the airport to his place, and the trip worked out splendidly!  As a family traveling with two kids (ages 6 and 10), George's place was absolutely perfect for us as we were able to cook our own food often and relax while the kids played. We so enjoyed chatting with George, having our meals in the garden, and walking around the gardens and forest to see toucans and butterflies. We highly suggest George's place for a family who wants to both relax and get to know Costa Rica! The location is incredible, just a short distance to both beautiful mountains and beach. We didn't rent a car but instead took public transportation. This made our trip all the better as we met all kinds of great people along the way. George provides a bus schedule and gives all kinds of good tips about what to do and how to get around. The area is incredible!!! Highly recommended!!!!

We spent 2 nights at George's place. The bungalow is very nice, spacious and you have everything you need. We were at the waterfalls (worth it!) and a few beaches in the area. George was an great host, very good helpful and nice and always there for us. The only thing we would have liked would have been that it would have been a little cleaner. Otherwise 5 stars ;-)

Wir haben 2 Nächte bei George verbracht. Das Bungalow ist sehr schön, großzügig geschnitten und man hat alles was man braucht. Wir waren bei den Wasserfällen (lohnt sich!) und an ein paar Stränden in der Umgebung. George war ein toller Gastgeber, sehr guter hilfsbereit und nett und immer für uns da. George is a very nice host. He’s disponible if you need anything. And he propose a laundry service. The house is spacius and the garden is very nice. You can see toucan, humming -bird and lot of beautifull flowers. The house is very well situated to discover a part of pacific coast .I recommand that place!

George's place is a wonderful mountain getaway! He's got the entire cliff side to himself so privacy isn't an issue. The cabinas are well managed and comfortable to stay in. He's accommodating and makes sure the duration of time stayed is pleasant. The foliage and scenery is absolutely stunning with all the pathways lined with the flora. There was only one unexpected difficulty for us during our stay. The driveway has a pretty good incline and if you don't have 4 wheel drive the likelihood of you making it up is very slim. The issue was resolved quite easily with a lift up from George with our belongings and parking at the pullout. Overall our stay was fantastic with the nearby waterfalls(one of the biggest around Catarata Nauyaca is a must to go see!!!) and it's just around the corner from George's. Hope you enjoy your stay at this lovely getaway as much as we did.

A great Cabin in the rain forest.  The host is also very nice and friendly, and lives in another cabin on the property. The driveway is quite steep, so you will need a 4X4 to get up to the house.  It is also hard to find.  The host started contacting us a couple of days before the check in date to coordinate to make sure he was around.  He came down and met us at the bottom of the driveway so that we could easily find it.  Overall, we had a great time, and wish we had been there longer.

George was super friendly and easy to talk to. He was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend!

This place is paradise and George is an angel!! The garden is worth the stay on its own, a real botanic garden with all kinds of trees and fruit that we were invited to taste. George is extremely kind and will help you with anything you need, from a friendly chat to a flashlight or a machete. We had an awesome stay and recommend this place to everyone. 

This is a rustic cabin surrounded by stunning gardens and exceptional views of the valley.  George and Freddy (the Doberman) are terrific hosts and made us feel very welcome.  We were lucky to arrive when the mango trees were fruiting, and so had fresh mangos every day.  If your timing's right you may get bananas and coconuts as well!  The dirt road is short but very steep - a 4x4 is highly recommended.  It is just a 10 minute drive to the beach, and around the corner from the trailhead to Nauyaca Falls.  It was a great place to spend 5 days!

We enjoyed our stay at George's place.  It was quiet and secluded up in the mountain surrounded by a beautiful garden yet close enough to easily drive into town for dinner or to go to the beach. We loved eating the mangos from the mango tree on the property. I think it would best to arrive during the day because navigating the roads and finding the place was a little tricky until we became familiar with the area. We loved the dominical area and the day we spent at the waterfall. Definitely would recommend to stay here.

This is a simple yet clean and functional cabaña, very secluded, yet off the main road in a lovely part of Costa Rica. The cabin had wifi and a TV with the option of English speaking channels, a good shower, mosquito nets on the windows and an outdoor covered seating area. The surrounding garden had fruit trees and colourful beautiful trees and bushes. I'm very prone to getting mosquito bites and didn't get bitten once! The surrounding area has lots to see - waterfalls, a good beach, animal sanctuary, reserves etc - if u have a car then this is a great base to visit all the sites from. A 4 wheel drive is a good idea for getting up George's drive! George communicates really well with you, giving you precise directions to get to his house, providing advice on where and what to visit and even on leaving giving advice on where we were going. His dog, Freddy, was also a welcoming playmate for our two young children. Definitely stay here if you can!

George's place is in a great location, super close to the waterfalls, some fruit stands and about 10 minutes to the beach. He provided us with some awesome insider tips and was very helpful and available. We enjoyed our stay. 

George is a wonderful, kind, friendly, generous person who really cares about his guests and does everything he can to assure that they have a good experience.  The cabin (half of a duplex) was comfortable and clean and had all the basics we needed at an incredible price, and we were able to buy lots of awesome fruit right across the street.  We cooked most of our meals in the cabin.  Yes, the driveway is very steep, but we didn't rent a 4 wheel drive - we just parked in the parking spot part way up the driveway and walked back and forth to our car, which was a steep 2-3 minute hike - no problem - at least in the dry season!  We loved watching the hummingbirds while we drank our coffee and enjoyed the peace and quiet.  The only drawback is the 10-15 minute drive to the coast (sometimes slow with traffic), which was worth it for us to save money and have a longer vacation.  The beaches of Dominical & Dominicalito were not our favorite, but George told us about a beautiful secluded beach that was the highlight of our trip.  He is fluent in English, Spanish and Polish and it's best to call him when you first try to find the place.  We had to leave early because our son was injured in the US, and George was incredibly caring and generous about that.

Great host and place. If you're interested in going to Nauyaca Falls this is about as close as you can get 😊

George makes the space. Great host. He is interactive without being intrusive. Accommodating and accepting. The man obviously loves his location and has put tremendous work into it. The garden creates a jungle oasis. I loved it. His doberman is a doll! No need to be afraid of that teddy bear! 

We can only agree with everything guests have said already. George has created a wonderful garden which attracts so much nature - birds & butterflies around all the time. It is remote & quiet and yet convenient for visiting beaches around Dominical. You definitely need a 4x4 to get up his drive - but don't despair if you haven't as George will happily meet you down on the road & transfer you up the rugged hill.

We loved our stay with George.  He was helpful in many ways.  The bungalow has beautiful flowers everywhere and there are lots of birds.  You'll need a 4x4 vehicle to negotiate the drive up to the bungalow.  Dominical, the nearest town, is about a 15 min drive.  There is bus transportation, but I highly recommend having your own vehicle to get around.  We had a wonderful stay. Thanks George!

We thought the place was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Our 3 kids (7.5 years and 10 months) and we slept wonderfully. The place is very quiet, surrounded by nature and gardens but very nice, there were practically no mosquitoes or bugs that would bother you. Dominical is relatively close but if you need a vehicle. For access it is essential 4x4 for the 200m from the road to the house. Julek's hospitality and treatment was excellent, he was always attentive to us and what we needed. Thank you Julek!

El alojamiento nos pareció muy cómodo, limpio y bien equipado. Nuestros 3 hijos (7,5 años y 10 meses) y nosotros dormimos de maravilla. El lugar es muy tranquilo, rodeado de naturaleza y jardines pero muy agradable, prácticamente no habia mosquitos ni bicho que molestara. Dominical se encuentra relativamente cerca pero si se necesita vehiculo. Para el acceso es indispensable 4x4 para los 200m desde la carretera hasta la casa. La hospitalidad y trato de Julek fue excelente, estuvo pendiente en todo momento de nosotros y de lo que necesitáramos. Thank you Julek!

George was a great host! He met us at the end of his driveway as pre-arranged, even though we arrived much later than originally planned.  He made coffee for us the next morning and was always available to answer questions and offer advice about the local area. George lives on the property but was never intrusive. The cabin is in a little secluded area surrounded by palm trees, banana trees and flowers, and feels like your own personal tropical oasis. Toucans play in the trees overhead. There's a great beach 10 minutes away with shops and restaurants, or a larger city 25 minutes in the other direction. If you're looking for a quiet spot away from the tourists but still close to it all, this is the perfect spot! Thanks George for a great vacation!

The place is situated well.10 minutes to a bus stop.Buses run 4 times a day.Accomodation has some foot prints of mould and it strongly smells of dump.Photographs look different then real.For example there is no washing maschine.Garden looks good.Make sure you get information where to get of when traveling by bus to avoid any extra expenses using your phone to chase the owner. Real photos on request.

George was the perfect host and Freddy (the dog) is full of personality. They welcomed us - and our dog Gigi - whole heartedly; we very much enjoyed our stay at their cabin in the jungle outside of Dominical. They are rustic accommodations but quite spacious and surprising comfortable. The grounds (his garden and the jungle) are stunning and when the sun was shining it was wonderful to sit under the private pergola for coffee, drinks or a meal. There is a hot water shower (be sure to ask how it works), a simply stocked kitchen for cooking basic meals and very good wifi reception. We also felt very safe, not just us but our vehicle and belongings as well. He is located outside of Dominical so we were very grateful to have our SUV to get around. He is located almost directly across from where you can start the hike to the gorgeous Nauyauca Falls and it was a relatively quick drive in either direction for the restaurants in both Dominical and Platanillo. George also gave us some valuable insider's knowledge to find a stunning beach away from people where we could really enjoy the sun, sand and quiet. This is budget friendly accommodations, but we definitely felt that we got great value for our stay, even extending by an extra night to just unwind with the sounds of nature around us and a little extra time chatting with our gracious host.

George contacted me the week before staying with him. We made arrangements for me to call him to pick me up and drive me the last 10 kilometers to his home. I was traveling by bus so that was sure appreciated.

Jurek was very friendly throughout our stay. She helped us with everything we needed to know and always gave us privacy.  The place is bigger than I expected, good connection if you use wifi, gas stove and it is 10 minutes from the Sunday center where you can get the things you need and the beach Also the access to Nauyaca is very close to the place so you can walk there. I would definitely stay in this place in the future

Nos ayudó en todo lo que necesitamos saber y siempre nos dio privacidad.  El lugar es más grande de lo que esperaba, buena conexión si usas wifi, cocina con gas y esta a 10 min del centro de dominical donde puedes conseguir las cosas que necesitas y la playa También el acceso a nauyaca queda muy cerca del lugar tanto asi que puedes ir caminando. Definitivamente me quedaria en este lugar en un futuro

Despite a rather tumultuous arrival (our own fault mixed with the nature of Costa Rican buses), George was very helpful. He drove us to get groceries and to the waterfalls and even let me wash my clothes! The garden was beautiful and the bungalow charming. Very clean and the hot water was nice! Due to location and the frequency of buses (4xday) It is more difficult to stay here and get around without a car. However, it was still possible for us we and we just had to have more patience and be willing to be stuck in the bungalow after 4pm (Luckily it was very comfortable, beautiful, and had what we needed so it wasn't much of a problem). 

Georges was a very nice and helpful host. He advised us on the activities offered in the area. The apartment was okay for 2 nights.  Georges gave us the visit of his property and his garden is beautiful. You can spend a few nights at Georges' place without hesitation!

Wonderful place! Pity that we could not stay longer. Me and my wife already decided that we are coming again to Costa Rica and we will spend more time at George's little paradise. Beautiful garden and very clean room so you can stay there for longer than a few nights. We liked our bedroom the most. Patio is also great, we were sat there every morning watching birds while eating breakfast. Toucans and other birds are just a few meters from your hand..we even didn't want to go anywhere from there..plan was to do the site seeing, but we tried to compromise between relaxing as well. George thank you so much for a wonderful time we spent at your place!!

This is a perfect place if you looking to relax and have a bit of adventure at the same time. Very cozy rooms, tidy and clean. I really enjoyed my stay there. George is a great guy and he was asking us if we need anything on every occasion.  Thanks George for treating us with a barbecue and little party before we left. Highly recommend!

Excellent place like a little heaven. The accommodation is really nice. Good size bedroom with a very comfortable bed. The air is so fresh and you can hear the birds when you wake up. I sleep here better than at home

Amazing person and amazing place. We only regret we didn't book to stay there for a few more days.This place is so beautiful, there is no words to describe it. You have to be there! Great view and the garden outside bungalow full of birds. You can see toucans and hummingbirds while you eat breakfast. Bungalow is very clean and well maintained. Jurek was available whenever we needed him. Even when he was out running errands, there were workers on the property to help out. He was a gracious host and was always making sure that we were comfortable and pointed out where the best wildlife hung out. Great toucan sightings!

George is a really great host, he is very helpful, he gave good advices and lots of bananas to us. He did a great job fighting against the mini ants. The bungalow is located beautiful in the rainforest, surrounded by a nice garden. It is better to have a car when you want to book.

One of our best experience in Costa Rica. Georges is a character. His life is an adventure and he is still living it in this part of jungle with his dog. He recreated in his property a  small heaven. His garden is a wonder. With our 2 children we had a great time there. Georges has been incredibly kind with us. Thanks again George

George was an amazing host from the beginning of out stay until out departure. Finding his place at night would have been quite difficult but he waited for us on the road to show us the way. The bungalow is very nice and super clean with everything you need.  George is always there with stories and recommendations on beaches, restaurants and other attractions.  His dog Freddy was welcoming and very playful as well. I will definitely stay with George and Freddy again and I recommend everyone to visit this excellent location. Thank you George!

This was hands down our favorite place that we stayed during our visit. George has truly created a paradise to share with people like you and me. An incredibly gracious host, George was extremely accommodating, offering us fruits from his beautiful trees, suggestions on nearby places to visit and was quick to respond to anything we needed. We enjoyed spending time on the quiet patio, listening to the beautiful sounds of the rainforest surrounding us. He has beautiful flowers everywhere which attract gorgeous butterflies and many species of birds. His German Shepherd Mickey and Doberman puppy Freddie made us feel right at home and perfectly safe. (We will really miss them!) This bungalow is in a great location and close to many amazing beaches and great restaurants. Definitely book this place, you won't be disappointed. 

George was a great and very helpful host! He was always available for advice on how to get around and what to do! We loved getting to know him and loved his property! The nauyaca waterfall nearby is amazing too, if you stay with George definitely visit there!

George was a kind and generous host with a beautiful property. We stayed in his bungalow, which is about a 10 minute drive into the mountains from Domincal and very close to the Nauyaca waterfalls. Very convenient location and a relaxing environment!

George is a wonderful host, he is very caring, attentive and ready to help in whatever I needed. He offered to drive me to buy fruits and vegetables ... invited me to drive with him to the  city ... and much more...the place of George is well  located, so you can easily reach the beach and other sites. I highly recommend his place .

We had a lovely relaxing stay in at George’s place in Platinillo. George is very friendly and helpful and can be found watering his tropical garden (including many different types of fruit and nut trees) early each morning. The cabin set amongst trees had all that we needed. There was also a barbecue and an outside table and chairs sheltered under a pergola. George is a very kind host and was helpful and understanding when we mislaid our keys (that we later discovered in the trunk when we returned our rental car).

George is a great host! He gave us good advises about the places worth to visit. We had great evenings together with good talks, also George offered us to try different kind of fruits and seeds.  We enjoyed staying at his beautiful bungalow very much. Jungle place is very peaceful and cosy. While eating our breakfast we enjoyed watching colibries and toucans, also played with his young Doberman Fredie and a little kitty.  We'll definitely stay there again next time we visit CR!

George was attentive to all of our needs. His place has everything you need and is fairly new building. Communication was excellent from start to finish. We have stayed in the area many times over several years and will likely stay at George's place on our next visit.  Highly recommended!

Gorge was a gracious host and the bungalow was just perfect. His property is beautiful with stone paths lined with plants and trees and the view of the jungle below is amazing. The bungalow had everything I could have hoped for. I'll definitely stay there again next time I visit. 

George was a great host! he was welcoming, kind, friendly, and he made us feel right at home. He made sure we had everything we needed and even picked us up from the bottom of the hill going to his house when our car could not go up it. His property was also beauitful, we even saw a tucan next to the house, really in the middle of nature with tropical plants and fruits everywhere.  Thanks George!!

We enjoyed our stay at this rental. The kitchen provides your basic needs. The internet connection is very good and reliable. It does get hot during the day, but the ceiling fans keep it bearable, and we found that the bedroom was always cool enough for sleeping at night. It is also very quiet and peaceful here with only the sounds of nature outside so it made sleeping wonderful and the bed was very comfortable. The owner does a great job of keeping bugs and pests at a minimum.  One of our favorite parts is the small gazebo with a table and chairs, surrounded by shrubs and banana trees. It’s a great place to eat meals, and the plants keep it private despite the neighbors who rent the other side of the duplex. There is a washer and drier onsite. The owner lives onsite and was very friendly and helpful. He provided our basic amenities and gave us tips on places to go and things to do. He works hard to make his guests feel welcome, and has done a lot to make the area nice with plants, including lots of coconuts (which he’ll show you how to cut and drink), oranges, and other ornamentals. He even gave us a ride and quick tour of San Isidro and helped provide us with bus schedules and anything we needed. Our neighbor in the duplex was friendly and gave us helpful advice as well.  There is a German Shepherd that was a friendly and well-behaved guard dog who likes playing fetch with sticks and coconuts, and the owner has an adorable new Doberman puppy that he is training.   The area is best if you have a vehicle (there is a steep driveway that requires 4x4), and not a lot within short walking distance. If you’re willing to walk, there is a fruteria quite close by, and a small grocery store about 1.5 miles. There are also some short jungle trails to hike on, it is fairly close to the Nauyaca waterfalls and river area. If you don’t have a car you should be a fairly active person who likes to walk or run and you will be able to enjoy the area without a car.   There is a bus stop nearby, close to the Parque Reptilandia, which makes it fairly easy to catch the bus to Dominical (the closest beach, ATM, and restaurants) and Quepos, as well as to San Isidro. Just be sure to check the bus schedules, because there aren’t very many on these routes. The buses are well maintained & easy to use. It’s a 6 mile walk to Dominical beach.   We very much enjoyed our stay, and we think this is a good place for people who want to get a bit off the beaten path. It’s a good base for exploring the Southern Costa Rica coast, with easy access to main roads. The owner, George, does a great job making his guests feel welcome, without being intrusive.
